As Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings battle it out in a high-stakes IPL finale, Bollywood's Perfectionist
Aamir Khan
added some star power to the stadium. The actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, joined the excitement with live commentary in both Hindi and Bhojpuri during RCB's innings.
Known for his meticulous approach to cinema, Aamir was asked which cricketer he believes deserves the title of a 'perfectionist'—and his answer reflected how the definition has evolved with time.
Aamir Khan shared that he once viewed
Sachin Tendulkar
as the ultimate perfectionist in cricket. Today, he believes
Virat Kohli
and
Jasprit Bumrah
carry that legacy forward.
Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket on November 16, 2013. Three years later, Virat Kohli rose to prominence, taking his game to new heights—surpassing even some of Tendulkar's records.
In 2023, Kohli broke Tendulkar's long-standing record for the most ODI centuries. He is currently representing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah, a right-arm fast bowler known for his mastery across all three formats, recently etched his name in IPL history. During the 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium, he surpassed Sri Lankan legend and MI pace spearhead Lasith Malinga to become Mumbai Indians' highest wicket-taker in the tournament, with an impressive tally of 171 wickets.
