Kate Middleton's favourite lip-perfecting gloss is slashed to under £15 in sale

Daily Mirror15-07-2025
Beauty buffs keen on copying Kate Middleton's minimal makeup can now pick up her go-to lip-perfecting gloss for a fraction of its full price as it plummets below £15
Kate Middleton 's beauty secrets are in high demand, and now, fans looking to replicate her understated yet stunning makeup routine have cause to celebrate. Snapped wearing the sought-after Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector at Wimbledon in 2019, the Duchess often opts for this minimal makeup product, which has just landed on sale.
Over at All Beauty, Kate's beloved Clarins Lip Perfector is currently slashed from its full price of £25 to £12.95, rivalling Black Friday prices. Back in November last year, Debenhams axed this Clarins lip balm to £18.40, beating the likes of Boots and Clarins' own discounts.
With its high popularity and royal endorsement, makeup enthusiasts eager to score this bargain will need to act fast. Kate's beloved lip balm is currently up for grabs on Amazon or Sephora for £20, or at Boots for £25.
Touted as more than just a moisturiser, this Clarins lip perfector delivers a subtle tint for Kate's effortlessly chic glow. At under £15, it's a top pick for on-the-go, quick touch-ups, whether on its own or over a lipstick base.
It is worth noting that Kate's go-to shade is the Rose Shimmer, which is available at Amazon, Boots, Sephora, and All Beauty, but it isn't the colour that has this delectable discount. It's the Apricot Shimmer that's available for the majorly reduced price of £12.95.
Kate's endorsement surely catapulted this balm to fame, but the product isn't lacking in glowing reviews either.
Though it currently doesn't have any reviews at All Beauty, it does have nearly 800 5-star ratings at Boots. One thrilled buyer beams: "Love this tinted balm - super natural glow and so moisturising. Very subtle hint of colour when you don't want a strong lip shade. Leaves my lips super soft!"
Another satisfied customer raves: "Holy Grail for Effortless, Glossy Lips! I've tried countless lip products, but the Clarins Lip Perfector stands out as a true staple in my makeup bag. The formula is ultra-smooth, hydrating, and gives my lips the perfect soft, plump look without any stickiness. It has just the right amount of color to enhance your natural lips, making it ideal for everyday wear or layering over lipstick. The applicator feels luxurious and makes it easy to apply on the go. Bonus: it smells like vanilla—subtle but so comforting. If you're looking for that 'your lips but better' finish with a silky, non-greasy texture, this is it. Total game-changer!"
And a third chimes in: "I love this lip treatment. The color is very flattering, the consistency is great. It's not too sticky or thick. It feels so moisturizing on my lips and it wears off so nicely. Would 10/10 recommend."

Amazon's Prime Day dethroned by Walmart's rival deal event

By Amazon's Prime Day has been knocked off its perch by Walmart 's rival deal event — and it was all down to a change that backfired. Once the biggest online shopping bonanza of the year, Prime Day's dominance is faltering. Both retail giants launched their summer sales on July 8 — Amazon for four days and Walmart for almost a week. That meant this year's Prime Day was double the length it had been since 2018. When the event began in 2015, it lasted just one day. Amazon bosses hoped the extra time would boost spending, but it instead encouraged shoppers to compare deals — and many opted for Walmart. Walmart outperformed Amazon across several key metrics. Spending on soared 24 percent compared to 2024, Bloomberg data shows — six times faster than Prime Day's year‑over‑year growth. Web traffic told a similar story, with Walmart surging 14 percent while Amazon stayed flat, according to Similarweb. 'Shoppers are more willing to do the work and navigate across multiple websites,' Deborah Weinswig, CEO of Coresight Research told Bloomberg. 'We saw people spending a lot more time browsing and comparing prices.' A spokesperson for Amazon said the data did not reflect the 'highly positive customer response to this year's Prime Day,' arguing that the event still saw meaningful growth. Amazon remains the undisputed king of ecommerce, capturing around 40 cents of every dollar spent online, according to Emarketer. The event was such a success that its competitors began to follow suit with their own summer deals. Now retail traffic after the July 4 public holiday has started to outdo the traditional Black Friday sales period in November. Walmart launched its Walmart + subscription in 2020 , offering unlimited free deliveries for $98 per year.

Amazon remains the undisputed king of ecommerce, capturing around 40 cents of every dollar spent online, according to Emarketer. However, Walmart — the US's largest private employer — is ploughing investment into its online units. The Arkansas-based retailer has pumped resources into improving delivery speeds and has built up its online inventory to more than 500 million items. As a result, Walmart's online sales are climbing 20 percent a year, adding intense pressure on Amazon. Amazon's own Prime subscription is expected to soon rise by $20 to $159 a year, experts have warned.

Kate Garraway is pretty in pink as she styles this 'gorgeous' Boden blouse with a pair of stylish linen trousers - and we know how to copy her look for less Kate Garraway recently wowed fans as she donned a stunning piece from Boden. Pairing her vibrant pink blouse with linen trousers, Kate showcased how easy it is to style this blouse with your favourite trousers for the ultimate smart casual look. The exact shirt Kate wore was this Scallop Double Cloth Top, which is currently available for £52.80 on Boden, down from £66. This piece comes in two colours, Kate's summer-ready pink or royal blue. It is worth noting, however, that this shirt is touted as a hot pick among shoppers. It's currently sold out in a wide range of sizes, with only a few sizes left in stock. But don't worry— we've found plenty of alternative Boden blouses to copy Kate's look, including the exact top which is still in stock in most sizes in the royal blue colourway. Kate's Scallop Double Cloth Top is decorated with an abundance of delicate and feminine scalloped trims, creating a timelessly chic style that can seamlessly be dressed up or down. Boasting a relaxed fit, this is a modern take on romantic styles, boasting balloon, elbow-length sleeves, and puffed shoulders that add to an almost vintage aesthetic. This pick is currently only available in sizes 20 and 22 in pink, or sizes 12 to 22 in blue. If you're keen to copy Kate's blouse in the eye-catching pink shade she opted for, don't worry—Boden has plenty of alternatives. Check out this Feminine Cotton Blouse, which comes in pink or white. It features the same romantic style with puffed sleeves and shoulders, and the same button detailing down the front as Kate's blouse. Featuring delicate broderie frills throughout, this shirt mimics the same air of romance with all the same versatility when it comes to styling potential - and it comes in Kate's approved colour. Normally retailing for £76, this shirt is available for £60.80 and comes in sizes 8 to 22. Boden has also axed the price of this Eden Puff Sleeve Henley Top, a blouse that's selling like hotcakes. Normally costing £60, this pastel pink shirt is reduced to half price in Boden's summer sale. Available in most sizes, this blouse comes in a lighter shade of pink than Kate's but offers the same smart casual style with romantic flourishes that create a feminine finish. If you're shopping around for more options, River Island has another paler option available: this Pink Button Detail Short Puff-Sleeve Shirt, which is slightly lower priced at £46. Fat Face also joins the running with its Bonnie Rose Pink Broderie Blouse, which is currently selling for £55. Nobody's Child has another great alternative with this pink broderie anglaise ria blouse, which is now reduced to £30, down from £60, while this sale lasts.
