Mark Labbett paused Celebs Go Dating filming due to health
Labbett, known on the quiz show as The Beast, admitted he had been 'single for most of my life', before adding: 'I'm a little bit on the spectrum.'
The quizzer has diabetes and it was this that forced him to take a break while filming, reports The Mirror.
He said: 'One night, I had a hypoglycaemic attack,' adding: 'I might have been a bit grumpy that night. I apologised to everyone after.'
The Beast said a nap on set afterwards helped him out.
Also while filming, Labbett was reportedly asked 'to read social cues', the newspaper says.
Labbett said: 'I went, 'What do you mean?''
He added: ''You don't notice people's emotions when in the room?,' and I said no. There was shock on both sides.'
What is a hypoglycaemic attack?
The NHS explains: "Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia or a hypo) is usually where your blood sugar (glucose) is below 4mmol/L. It needs to be treated quickly to stop it getting worse, but you can usually treat it yourself."
Symptoms of hypoglycaemia include feeling hungry, dizzy or anxious, sweating, shaking and more.
You can find out more about hypoglycaemia via the NHS website.

Man, 71, who stalked actress Anna Friel bailed ahead of sentencing
Phil Appleton, 71, sent numerous messages, visited the actress's home address on several occasions and left 'unwanted' gifts between January 1 2022 and December 11 2024, Reading Crown Court previously heard. Appleton, of Windsor in Berkshire, pleaded guilty to a stalking offence under Section 2A of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 earlier this week. He was due to be sentenced on Thursday but judge Alan Blake adjourned the hearing until September 18 for a pre-sentence report to be carried out. The defendant, who the court heard has been in custody for six months and has spent time in a mental health facility, was granted conditional bail. Appleton must not contact Friel or enter the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and is to co-operate with those conducting the pre-sentence report. A website under his name appears to suggest that he is an actor and retired pilot. Friel, 49, rose to fame with her role as Beth Jordache in Channel 4 soap opera Brookside. She achieved international renown in 2007 starring as Charlotte 'Chuck' Charles in ABC comedy series Pushing Daisies. In 2017, she won the International Emmy for Best Actress for her role as the title character in the ITV and Netflix mystery drama series Marcella.

Celebrity SAS stars 'to receive full fee' despite quitting minutes into show
Celebrity SAS stars 'to receive full fee' despite quitting minutes into show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is back with a new series and a whole host of stars taking on the gruelling selection course - but it's been claimed that those who quit will still be paid Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins contestants who withdrew from the programme are reportedly set to pocket their complete payment, according to fresh claims. The punishing reality series has made its comeback featuring S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt, Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, The X Factor's Lucy Spraggan and The Traitors champion Harry Clark. The lineup also includes Rebecca Loos, rapper Lady Leshurr, boxer Conor Benn and Drag Race UK victor Bimini Bon Boulash, as the celebrities face gruelling mental and physical trials designed to replicate SAS Selection. Previously, Strictly favourite Pete Wicks had to withdraw after sustaining multiple rib fractures and losing consciousness, whilst John Barrowman managed merely 32 minutes last year before departing. Rumours now suggest that this year's early departures will also collect their full wages. Singer Hannah lasted just minutes on-screen before quitting, while Louie Spence also quit in the first episode. Tasha and fellow Love Island star Chloe Burrows also decided to leave the selection course and hand in their armbands after struggling with challenges. S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt quit the series just minutes into the first episode (Image: PA) A source has now claimed: "Hannah Spearritt, Chloe Burrows and Tasha Ghouri will all have been paid over £10k - some as much as £20k - but unlike other reality shows, they do get paid if they pull out. "So even though Hannah only lasted one minute, she'll still get paid over £10k for that minute." They added to The Sun: "It's well worth stars signing up even if they don't think they can complete the show just for the payday - it might be embarrassing taking their armband off early in the show, but it's good money!" Wales Online has approached Channel 4 for comment. Chloe Burrows quit in the second episode (Image: Pete Dadds / Channel 4) The second episode of Celebrity SAS saw the stars challenged with climbing up a steep hill and then hanging from a wire over a ravine. Chloe, struggling on the climb, was left in tears after being told by the DS that she was "wasting a massive opportunity". "I'm done," she wept, adding: "F*** off, this is the worst thing I have ever done in my whole life!" It wasn't long before Tasha followed suit, quitting and saying: "I'm not mentally here. I'm not mentally here to do this." Some of the extreme challenges were too much for stars like Tasha Ghouri, who quit in the second episode (Image: Channel 4) Meanwhile, ahead of her exit, Hannah spoke about why she wanted to take part in Celebrity SAS, saying: "I hope to take out of this experience, strength. I want to feel stronger again, mentally and physically, because there's always improvement there. "There are always dips that happen along the way with motherhood or whatever but I think when you just experience different stuff, it changes you. "I have no idea what to expect, but I do know it will be an experience and it's something that I will have for life." It was too much for the singer, who bowed out after minutes (Image: Channel 4) Article continues below She added: "However the experience goes, I am going to learn about myself. Maybe I'll find out I am a bit of a mess or I might find out that I'm stronger than I think I finding out things about yourself that you would never, ever find out. "We live in this world where it's so easy to live in our comfort zone, so this is an opportunity to get outside of that me anyway, growth and expansion is one of the most important things, and that is something that hopefully I can pass on to my kids." Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is available to watch on Channel 4.

Channel 4 announces return of legendary daytime TV series 20 years on from first ever episode in huge win for fans
Channel 4 has announced the return of a legendary daytime series with a major twist as it celebrates 20 years on air. The broadcaster has ordered a flurry of brand new Come Dine With Me episodes as it cements the show's future in the schedule. A whopping 25 episodes episode have been ordered, with each running for 30-minutes in duration, with witty narrator Dave Lamb also set to return. Meanwhile, in addition to the regular series returning, bosses have also revealed a special spin-off of the format is on the way. For the first time ever, an adolescence version of the show will hit screens with a group of young cooking enthusiasts. Just like the regular version, each contestant will host the rest of the hopefuls at their home, cooking them a multi-course meal in a bid to win the prize money. Come Dine With Me Teens will air across a week on E4 later this year, with five episodes set to be filmed in Manchester. Channel 4 teased: 'Come Dine With Me Teens will, for the first time in CDWM history, see five teenagers try their hand at cooking up a menu and hosting their own dinner parties over five nights. 'The 16–19-year-old competitors will score each of their competing hosts with a mark out of 10 and the overall winner will scoop a £1,000 prize.' Applications for both editions of the show are now open, with legal guardians of the wannabe teen contestants only allowed to complete their submissions. Come Dine With Me already airs a professional spin-off show, which first launched in 2022. Meanwhile, a dad who became known as the 'whisk man' after going viral from a Come Dine With Me appearance is recognised all over the world but has also been physically assaulted because of the notoriety. Wedding DJ Kev Riley became a meme when his dinner party trick on the Channel 4 show became an internet sensation in 2013. The 44-year-old self-confessed cooking novice has since been recognised by foreign waiters abroad, was plastered on a flag during a Coldplay Glastonbury performance and is also stopped in the street daily. Come Dine With Me Teens will air across a week on E4 later this year, with five episodes set to be filmed in Manchester as applications open Previously speaking to the Daily Mail, Kev said: 'It's just been incredible. It still is, even after all of these years I am getting fame for it. It doesn't go away. It keeps going viral.' He added: 'It is quite mad really. I am recognised everywhere I go. I can't just mind my own business. Social media and Tiktok in particular has made it incredible. 'It is like being a full-time celebrity. It was filmed in 2012 and broadcast the year after and I'd say there's been more fame in the last year or so because of TikTok.' However, despite his fame, Kev revealed he was the victim of an assault when he was punched by a man while out with his wife. He said: 'I was having a nice night out with my wife in Burnley a while ago. 'This bloke came up to me and asked if I was the bloke from Come Dine With Me and the whisk. 'I said yes and he just punched me in the face. It was awful really. I was with my wife and we were just having a nice evening. 'It's a real shame. I also ignore a lot of comments on social media. It was a laugh and some people have taken it in different ways.'
