Man found shot to death inside burning South Side home
CHICAGO — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside a burned home on the city's South Side early Saturday morning.
According to Chicago police, just before 6:309 a.m., officers were called to the scene of a fire at a residence in the 4900 block of South Cornell Avenue in Kenwood.

Officers said after they arrived, they found an unresponsive 47-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his head. The man was later pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim and no arrests have been made.
Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and fire and an investigation is underway.
