Man killed after argument leads to stabbing attack on Southwest Side overnight
CHICAGO (WGN) — A stabbing attack on the city's Southwest Side left a man dead and sparked a police investigation overnight. According to Chicago police, the incident unfolded just before 11:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of South California Avenue in Brighton Park. Officers say they believe the incident occurred after the victim, a 23-year-old man, got into an argument with a woman who was accompanied by a group. LATEST CASES: Missing people in Chicagoland Police said the argument eventually turned physical when the group that was with the woman attacked the victim. Things continued to escalate amid the attack when officers said someone in the group pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim. Officers said the victim suffered fatal injuries in the attack and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Cook County Medical Examinetr's Office later identified the victim as 23-year-old Maximillion Flores, who lived in the area where the stabbing unfolded. It remains unclear what led up to the argument. Missing teen last seen in West Englewood: CPD
CHICAGO (WGN) — A search is underway this week for a missing teen boy who Chiacgo police say went missing on Monday. Officers said 17-year-old Kevin Johnson has been missing since around 2:25 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Johnson, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs around 160 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair. Police said the missing teen was last spotted wearing a gray sweatshirt and white jeans. Man found shot to death inside burning South Side home
CHICAGO — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside a burned home on the city's South Side early Saturday morning. According to Chicago police, just before 6:309 a.m., officers were called to the scene of a fire at a residence in the 4900 block of South Cornell Avenue in Kenwood. Teen girl among 3 injured in early-morning drive-by shooting on Southwest Side
CHICAGO — Three people, including a teen girl, were hospitalized after a drive-by shooting on the city's Southwest Side early Saturday morning. Chicago police said the shooting unfolded just after 4 a.m. in a parking lot in the 4500 block of South Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Officers said the 35-year-old man suffered several gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 21-year-old man was hit once in the leg and the 17-year-old girl was shot in the leg and foot. They were both taken to the hospital in good condition. 2 injured in shooting inside business on Southwest Side
CHICAGO — A shooting inside a business on the city's Southwest Side left two people injured on Thursday afternoon.
