Prince Harry 'snubbed' as he's missing from key statement by Royal Family

Daily Record30-06-2025
People were quick to point out Prince Harry's absence from the Armed Forces Day post from the Royal Family, which mentioned the service of several other royals.
Prince Harry seems to have been overlooked by the Royal Family, being omitted from a significant statement. To commemorate Armed Forces Day, the official Royal Family social media accounts shared a special message to honour the day and pay tribute to all those serving in the forces.
The post included a series of images recounting the military service of various Royal Family members. It highlighted King Charles' naval career and his time as a helicopter pilot, as well as Prince William 's tenure in the RAF as a search and rescue pilot.

Another image honoured the late Prince Philip and his service in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. However, Harry, who completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan during his Army service, was neither featured nor mentioned in the post.

Despite having founded the Invictus Games for injured ex-servicemen and women, Harry has been estranged from his Royal relatives since his dramatic departure from Royal duties five years ago.
The public were quick to notice Harry's absence from the post, with one individual commenting: "Where is Prince Harry?"
Another added: "I don't think Harry deserves to be left out he has probably the most active service of anyone since Prince Philip."
Someone else remarked: "As much as Harry isn't part of it any more he still did serve this day is about Armed Forces, not the Royal Family, I still believe he still deserves the credit for this."
Prince Harry has spoken candidly about his military service in his memoir Spare, revealing he was responsible for the deaths of 25 people during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan as an Apache helicopter pilot. He recounted flying on six missions that resulted in "the taking of human lives".

Recently, Harry made an unexpected appearance in New York City, where he highlighted the significance of 'compassion' at the Nexus Global Summit.
The event brought together over 350 influential young philanthropists, impact investors, and social innovators to address global challenges and shape a better future.

As a featured speaker, Harry discussed the impact of service and the importance of building stronger communities to tackle issues like disconnection and social isolation.
He pointed to the work of his Archewell Foundation, which he co-founded with the Duchess of Sussex in 2020, in fostering community and combating social isolation.
Addressing the audience, Harry said: "As the world gets harder, as people's lives become harder, compassion can shrink. The thing that gives me the most hope is the grassroots approach."

He added, "Many of you here today are connected and involved with so many community solutions, because it's what energises all of you, and that service part is really what energises me as well."
During his speech, the duke emphasised the importance of using one's influence for the greater good, telling onlookers, "Whatever you put out there, you get back."
Harry engaged with the Nexus Australian delegation, a collective focused on mental health and social media safety, as well as a Brazilian group of 12 youths dedicated to reducing inequality via educational initiatives and volunteer work.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'split' over roles but it's good news for both of them

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced a new deal with Netflix - but one royal expert believes the announcement was very telling about their future directions Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new Netflix deal underlines a major decision by the couple, according to a royal expert. ‌ The Sussexes have revealed they have signed a new "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects". The pair's new deal means Netflix will have the first option on their new projects. ‌ Five years ago, Harry and Meghan secured a lucrative contract, thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74 million), with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020 - but this new extension is seen as a downgrade on their previous exclusive rights deal and is believed to be worth a lot less. ‌ As the deal was announced, Meghan was quoted as saying how she and Harry were proud to be extending their partnership with the platform. And just hours later, the trailer for Meghan's upcoming second series of With Love, Meghan lifestyle show dropped. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond says it is telling that there is "scant mention of Harry" int he announcement. She told the Mirror: "It seems clear that this deal is very much Meghan's project. "It seems he may have played some part in the production of a documentary about a Ugandan orphanage, but it is Meghan who will be on screen presenting her lifestyle shows. "I think this underlines that the couple has decided that Meghan is really the TV personality, and Harry is more comfortable continuing his charity work. And I think that's the right balance for them." ‌ It comes after the couple's controversial docuseries, Harry & Meghan, in which they were highly critical of the Royal Family, has been among the streaming platform's most-watched documentary of all time with 23.4 million views. However, other projects, such as Harry's series on Polo, have failed to bring in anywhere near the same viewers. Meghan's latest project, her cookery and lifestyle show With Love, Meghan, released in March, failed to break into the top 300 most-watched shows on the streaming platform in the first six months of 2025 and was also panned by many critics. ‌ And Jennie added: "As I understand it, first look deals like this are not unusual in Hollywood. Arrangements like this usually come with a certain amount of financial investment in the company. And that's good news for Archewell. "The fact that Harry and Meghan have got any kind of new deal with Netflix really is one in the eye to everyone who said their contract was done and dusted. "Netflix has publicly hailed them as 'influential voices' -nd it's hard to argue with that. Whatever they do and say is widely reported on both sides of the Atlantic. "So I say well done to the two of them. They've shown that they still hold sway in Hollywood, and they've done what so many people said they couldn't: they've kept their link to Netflix alive and well and – to whatever extent – lucrative."

Prince William and Kate Middleton to start 'new beginnings'

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: 'The Wales family will move house later this year.' I'm glad Prince William and Princess Catherine are moving into a new home, although it's still a modest one for the future King. Of course, the renovations to The Wales family home will be privately funded. New beginnings for my favorites 🫶🏻✨🙏🏻 — Alejandra 💃🏻 (@walesroyal_) August 16, 2025 According to The Sun, the royal couple are paying for the property and renovations themselves, avoiding any extra cost to the taxpayer. The paper reported that work has already started on a minor renovation at the Grade II-listed property. The move will be a short one from their current main home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, and the children attend nearby Lambrook School. They also have homes at Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace in London. As heir to the throne, William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate, a portfolio of land, property and investments valued at more than £1 billion, when his father became King. According to The Sun, Forest Lodge would be worth about £16 million on the open market. The King owns the freehold. Recommended reading: Are Harry and William rifting? Prince Harry will reportedly have to take the first step towards Prince William if the brothers want the alleged feud to be fixed. Reports of problems within the royal family increased significantly after the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their duties in 2020. Since then, the couple has publicly talked about the rift through interviews, the 40-year-old's memoir 'Spare,' and their Netflix documentary 'Harry & Meghan.'
