Muscat: Ahli Sidab Club continued their positive run in the Oman Hockey League after securing a 4-2 win over Salalah Club at the Hockey Oman Stadium in Al Amerat on Monday.
The game started with excitement right from the opening minutes, as Ahli Sidab capitalised on their first real opportunity to take the lead in the fourth minute through Ammar al Shoaibi, who successfully converted a penalty corner. However, Ahli Sidab's celebration was short-lived as Salalah responded quickly in the same minute with an equaliser by Eisa Adel, who took advantage of a defensive error to level the score.
Ahli Sidab regained control and dominated midfield, with Haitham al Wahaibi restoring the lead with a powerful strike in the 16th minute, ending the first quarter with a 2-1 advantage for Ahli Sidab.
In the second quarter, Ahli Sidab maintained their dominance and extended their lead with a third goal by Talal Mohammed Salem from another well-executed penalty corner in the 23rd minute. Salalah made some timid attempts to get back into the game, but the quarter ended with Ahli Sidab leading 3-1.

In the second quarter, Suleiman al Nofali extended the lead with a third goal in the 16th minute.
Al Amerat continued their dominance in the third quarter, with Osama Radhan scoring the fourth goal from a penalty corner, and Elyas al Nofali adding the fifth, closing the quarter at 5-0.
In the final quarter, Shahdi Salem scored Al Nasr's only goal from a penalty corner in the 56th minute, ending the match with a 5-1 victory for Al Amerat.

The match, attended by Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, and Dr Marwan bin Juma al Juma, Chairman of the Oman Hockey Association, was filled with excitement and competitive spirit. The match began cautiously, with both teams sharing possession without creating real chances, ending the first quarter goalless. The second quarter followed a similar pattern with no goals scored. In the third quarter, Ahli Sidab's Rashad al Fazari broke the deadlock, converting a well-executed penalty corner into the only goal of the match. Despite Seeb's attempts to equalise, Ahli Sidab maintained their lead to end the quarter ahead. The final quarter saw increased pressure from Seeb, but Ahli Sidab's defence held firm until the final whistle, securing a well-earned championship title. Ayman Faraj added a fifth goal before completing his hat-trick in the 49th minute of the final quarter, sealing Al Amerat's third-place finish in emphatic fashion. At the conclusion of the tournament, the shining stars were honoured, with Maitham al Wahaibi (Ahli Sidab) receiving the Best Rising Player award, while the Best Goalkeeper award went to his teammate Ibrahim al Farsi, while Rashad al Fazari (Ahli Sidab) won the league's top scorer award. The Best Player award went to Osama Ramadan (Al Amerat), in recognition of his remarkable performance throughout the tournament. MUSCAT, MAY 19 The final stage of the 2025 Oman Hockey League continues on Tuesday with two decisive matches taking place at the Oman Hockey Stadium in Al Amerat. In the first match, Salalah Club will face Seeb Club in a game between two teams aiming to reach the final. The second match will see Ahli Sidab Club clash with Al Amerat Club in a fierce battle for a place in the final. The league concludes on Wednesday with the final match to determine the champion, alongside the third-place playoff. Seeb defeated Al Amerat in an exciting second-round semifinal match with a close 3-2 victory. The first quarter was balanced with both teams exchanging attempts but failing to score. Early in the second quarter, Seeb opened the scoring through Abdullah al Hasani from a penalty corner in the 17th minute. His teammate Imad al Hasani doubled the lead in the 29th minute, ending the quarter with Seeb leading 2-0. In the third quarter, Al Amerat managed to pull one back when Osama Ramadan converted a penalty corner in the 41st minute. Despite both teams pushing hard, the score remained 2-1 in favor of Seeb at the end of the quarter. Shafi Talib struck again in the 12th minute to make it 2-0 and Rashad al Fazari added a third in the 14th minute, ending the first quarter 3-0. Salalah showed some improvement in the second quarter, but Ahli Sidab continued their dominance, with Waqas Saad scoring the fourth goal from a penalty corner in the 23rd minute, closing the quarter 4-0. Ahli Sidab maintained their momentum in the third quarter, with Rashad al Fazari scoring his second goal from a penalty corner in the 34th minute. Two minutes later, Almas al Qasmi made it 6-0, ending the quarter with a commanding lead. In the final quarter, Maitham al Wahaibi added the seventh goal in the 52nd minute. Salalah managed to score their only goal a minute later through Hussain Hatim. The match started strongly in favour of Al Amerat, who dominated play from the opening moments. Salalah relied on counter attacks and almost took the lead in the second minute with a dangerous shot from Muhannad al Balushi. Salalah continued their attempts and earned a penalty corner from which Mohammed al Toubi scored, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review. In the fifth minute, Ahmed al Noufali opened the scoring for Al Amerat from a penalty corner. Salalah nearly equalised quickly, but Ayman Rabie missed a clear one-on-one chance against goalkeeper Fahad al Noufali. Al Amerat maintained their high pressure and nearly doubled their lead in the final minute of the first quarter, but Salalah's goalkeeper Khalid al Quraini made the save, ending the quarter with Al Amerat leading 1-0. Salalah attempted a comeback through a corner taken by Rashad Khuzain, but it posed no threat. In the final minutes of the quarter, Adnan al Hasani and Ayman Faraj scored the fourth and fifth goals, ending the quarter 5-0. Al Amerat captain lifts the Super Cup trophy. The final quarter saw no change in the scoreline, concluding with a well deserved triumph for Al Amerat, who claimed the Hockey Super Cup title. Mohammed al Darmaki, head coach of Al Amerat, expressed his delight after winning the Super Cup. "We congratulate all members of Al Amerat Club, including the players, management, technical staff and fans. Special congratulations go to the club's Board of Directors, led by Shaikh Mohsin bin Hani al Bahrani, who was the team's biggest supporter both financially and morally, always present with the players, encouraging and motivating them to achieve this success." They executed the game plan with full commitment. Finals are always approached with caution, regardless of the opponent's name and that's what we are focused on in the first quarter by playing conservatively with a strong defensive setup to better read the opponent's strategy, knowing that finals always carry surprises. "After that, the team gradually opened up, imposed its style of play, dominated possession and managed to diversify its tactics and create space, resulting in five deserved goals that reflect the hard work the players put in throughout the match." Salih Rasim Salih, captain of Salalah, said: "We played a strong match where the players gave their all with great fighting spirit. We congratulate Al Amerat Club on this deserved victory and I also congratulate my teammates in Salalah for their commendable performance." We faced a team with seasoned players accustomed to playing in such finals, while we rely on a young squad made up of junior and youth players, which in itself was a big challenge that we bravely accepted.
