In an interview with The New York Times, Ramsey shared how the negativity began to take a toll on her well-being. 'It's the first time I've ever had a negative reaction to something. There would be times I'd find it funny. Then I'd get to the end of a 10-minute scrolling session, put my phone down and realize: Maybe that was a bad idea.'

Despite the backlash, Ramsey remains deeply committed to her craft. 'If you don't want to watch the show because it has gay storylines or a trans character, that's your loss,' she told the publication.
