However, that falls well below Palace's valuation of the defender, even though he has just one year remaining on his deal at Selhurst Park.
Even a £45m bid is not considered to be enough by the south Londoners.
Guehi, 25, is yet to be convinced a move to Anfield this summer would be beneficial, given that it is a World Cup year.
The England man is, fitness allowing, all but guaranteed to start every game at Palace and Liverpool cannot offer the same assurance.

As SunSport revealed in May, Guehi is prepared to run down his contract and leave on a free next summer - which could open up a number of moves in England and across Europe's biggest clubs.
But it would also mean that Palace miss out on landing a fee for one of their star players, which means they could drop their asking price late on.
That must be balanced with the prospect of losing both Guehi and Eberechi Eze in the same window.

Eze is expected to depart for more than £50m, with both Arsenal and Tottenham having held talks.
Palace would be reluctant to lose both in the same summer, just as they did not want to sell Guehi and Joachim Andersen, who left for Fulham, a year ago.

Asked about Guehi's future last weekend, chairman Steve Parish said: "For players of that calibre to leave on a free, it's a problem for us unfortunately.
"We had another bid [for Guehi] in January but that was a different situation.
"We'll just have to see what happens. But, you know, it needs a new contract or a conclusion of some kind."
Palace manager Oliver Glasner insisted last week that Guehi had not asked to leave the club this summer.

Managing Tottenham as mega-money double transfer sealed and £20m star leaves

Tottenham have been busy this summer, but are expected to make a few more moves for some expensive transfer targets before the window shuts, having sustained some significant injury blows Tottenham are looking to snap back from their UEFA Super Cup disappointment by strengthening their squad ahead of the new Premier League season. Spurs were left heartbroken on Wednesday after a penalty shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, despite leading 2-0 with just minutes remaining. ‌ The Champions League winners managed to claw back two late goals before triumphing in the shootout. With no time to dwell on the loss, the north London club are now focusing on their league opener at home to Burnley this Saturday, and manager Thomas Frank knows there's still work to be done to bolster his squad. ‌ Despite welcoming seven new faces this summer, Mohammed Kudus is arguably the only one who is likely to be a nailed-on started week in and week out. ‌ The club's pursuit of Eberechi Eze and Savinho has been well-documented as they aim to build on last season's Europa League success and instil a winning mentality at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Here, we take an in-depth look at potential transfers that could be finalised in the coming week... Spurs splash out on Savinho Spurs have been locked in talks with Manchester City over Brazilian starlet Savinho, who had an inconsistent debut season with the Citizens. Despite scoring just one league goal, he ended the season with 16 contributions in 48 games, including 13 assists, following the Club World Cup. The exit of Son Heung-min and an injury to Dejan Kulusevski, which could sideline him for the rest of the year, has left Frank's team a bit thin on the wings, reports Football London, while James Maddison will need replacing as well following his ACL injury. Talks of a £43m deal for the 21-year-old were reported, but according to recent claims, it could take a record-breaking fee for Spurs to lure the Brazilian away from Pep Guardiola's squad. Dominic Solanke is Spurs' current record signing, having joined for £65m last summer. Savinho's agent is said to have indicated that it could take an offer of £67m to tempt City into selling. The players is understood to be open to the idea of joining Spurs and a bid is expected to be lodged in the coming days. ‌ With Spurs fighting on four fronts this season, signing a winger with as much potential as Savinho could help them in their chase for further silverware and consistent participation in Europe. Given his age, and the fact Cristiano Ronaldo voted for him as his first choice to win the 2024 Kopa Award over Lamine Yamal, Savinho looks a wise investment for the future. Break transfer record for Eze There's a chance that Spurs could sign Savinho without breaking their transfer record, but they might have no choice with Eze. Spurs' interest in Eze this summer is well-known, and the latest update in the transfer saga suggests the club are preparing to make an official offer for the Crystal Palace star. Fresh from winning the Community Shield following the Eagles' triumph over Liverpool on Sunday, the England midfielder could be on his way across London if a deal can be agreed between the two Premier League clubs. ‌ While Eze has attracted interest from Arsenal, it appears that Spurs have taken the lead in the race for the 27-year-old's signature. If Spurs manage to secure the talented player, they will reportedly need to pay what would be a record-breaking £68m fee, which is said to be Eze's release clause. There are reports that claim that the clause expires before the start of the Premier League season. The former QPR star is reportedly tempted by the chance to feature in the Champions League whilst staying in the capital, though reports indicate Tottenham value him at approximately £55m – matching what they splashed out to West Ham for Kudus. Adding a player of Eze's quality who can guarantee goals and assists in midfield and looks to be at the peak of his powers could prove to be a game-changing signing for Spurs. ‌ Pocketing £20m for fringe player Manor Solomon signed for Spurs in 2023, but the Israeli has featured in merely six matches for the club. A meniscus problem just three months after arriving in north London brought his 2023/24 season to a premature close. The subsequent campaign saw the winger loaned out to Leeds United as he revived his career by becoming instrumental in the Whites' ascent to the Premier League. Whilst he netted 10 goals and contributed 12 assists for Daniel Farke's squad, his summer comeback to Spurs has proved less successful as he missed the club's Asian tour through injury. ‌ With players like Kudus, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison, Mathys Tel and Brennan Johnson all positioned above Solomon in the pecking order, Frank might consider selling the 26-year-old. Spurs are reportedly seeking £15m to £20m for his signature, with a Leeds return being discussed, given Farke's frustration with his limited attacking choices. The German was scathing about the club's stuttering efforts to strengthen their forward department as he recently declared: "In comparison to our Championship side, we have not improved in the offence. "We are not prepared yet for a long Premier League season. "We are capable of playing at a good level but in order to be ready and to win games at this level... you need players who can score goals and give assists." Earning £20m on a player signed for free is certainly an opportunity many clubs won't turn their nose up at, and the extra funds could help facilitate the big-money moves for Eze and Savinho.

Bargain hunt: the best value signings in the Premier League this summer

The young English striker began his career at Derby County before moving to Manchester City as a 16-year-old in 2019. After loan spells at Stoke, Preston and Hull, Liam Delap made a £20m move to Ipswich last summer and proceeded to make a name for himself in the Premier League. He scored 12 league goals (33% of Ipswich's total) and quickly attracted interest from numerous top-flight sides, including Manchester United, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Everton. Ultimately, he chose Chelsea, who activated his £30m release clause, triggered by Ipswich's relegation, to secure his signature. In a market where strikers such as Benjamin Sesko (13 league goals last season) and Hugo Ekitike (15 league goals last season) have commanded fees north of £70m, securing Delap for just £30m could be one of the shrewdest signings of the summer. Not only have Chelsea secured one of Europe's most complete young forwards but, crucially, he also has Premier League experience. He has a similar profile to Nicolas Jackson – a powerful, modern striker who combines strong ball-carrying (2.12 carries per 90 minutes in the Premier League last season), intelligent movement, clinical finishing (12 goals from an xG of 9.05) and a high work rate – but Delap probably has a higher ceiling than Chelsea's current forwards. Simon Adingra joined Brighton from FC Nordsjælland in the summer of 2022 for around £6m after a standout season in Denmark, where he scored 11 goals and provided nine assists – enough to capture the attention of the Seagulls' astute recruitment team. His time on the south coast didn't quite bring the meteoric rise enjoyed by some of Brighton's other young talents, but Adingra has nonetheless established himself as a proven Premier League winger, with the pace, directness and one-v-one ability to trouble defenders. For Sunderland, he represents £21m very well spent. Adingra looks tailor made for Régis Le Bris's fast transitioning, counterattacking style of play. The 23-year-old thrives on the break, loves getting in behind defenders and offers a direct and aggressive outlet for teammates. In a side likely to enjoy limited possession, his ability to create and convert chances from minimal service could help them stay up. At the other end of his career to Adingra, but Granit Xhaka also offers great value. The 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience. He has made 137 appearances for Switzerland; he has won trophies in three countries; and he knows the Premier League inside out, having played 225 league games for Arsenal. Xhaka arrives from Bayer Leverkusen, where he was a key figure in Xabi Alonso's unbeaten 2023-24 Bundesliga campaign, and he featured in 33 league games and 10 Champions League matches last season. On top of his experience, Xhaka is also operating at a top level. He ranked fifth for passes completed in Europe's top five leagues last season, fourth for progressive passes, second for passes into the final third, and he was in the top 40 for passes that lead to shots. He also picked up the fifth most assists in the Bundesliga last season. For just £13m, Sunderland have attracted one of Europe's best passing midfielders, a player with an abundance of Premier League experience, and a character who will bring leadership to their midfield. Signing Igor Jesus from Botafogo for £10m could prove to be a steal for Nottingham Forest. The club are preparing for their first season in Europe since 1996 so need more options upfront. The 24-year-old Brazilian offers something different to Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi. Igor Jesus arrives in England having helped Botafogo to both the Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores titles last season, contributing 10 goals and one assist in 28 appearances in all competitions. Two of those goals came in the Club World Cup, where he made headlines by scoring the winner against the European champions Paris Saint-Germain. He also scored in a win over Seattle Sounders earlier in the tournament, earning player of the match in both games. He looks tailor-made for Forest's counterattacking approach. Igor Jesus offers speed, tireless running and strong finishing to a side that posted the third-lowest average possession in the Premier League last season and relied on quick, transitional football. He brings a different dimension to Wood, who lacks pace and mobility, and he should fit seamlessly into the side. For just £10m, Forest could have a gem on their hands. Brentford are renowned for developing young players into stars and the 21-year-old right-back Michael Kayode could be the next in line. Developed in the Juventus youth ranks, he moved to Gozzano in Serie D. He said he was taking 'a step backwards to make two forwards,' and he was proven right. Kayode was quickly snapped up by Fiorentina, where he became a regular starter at the age of just 19. He joined the Bees on loan in January and made five substitute appearances before earning his first start in the 4–2 win over Brighton, after which he held his spot in the side until the end of the campaign. He offers Brentford a defensively solid option at right-back, combining pace, stamina and strength with excellent one-v-one defending and recovery ability. His attacking decision-making is still developing, but he has the athleticism to support his attacking teammates, delivers dangerous crosses and is comfortable under pressure. No wonder Brentford paid £14m to sign him on a permanent deal. Brentford might just see yet another hefty return on a small investment. This is an article by WhoScored

Brentford will keep Newcastle target Yoane Wissa out of season opener

Keith Andrews has revealed that Yoane Wissa will not take part in Brentford's opening game against Nottingham Forest on Sunday amid strong interest from Newcastle. The forward from the Democratic Republic of the Congo is understood to have been training on his own this week as Andrews prepares to take charge of his first match since succeeding Thomas Frank, with Brentford holding out for about £40m. Newcastle have so far proved unwilling to match their valuation for the 28-year-old, who scored 19 times in the Premier League last season, having had an offer worth up to £30m rejected last month. Sign up to Football Daily Kick off your evenings with the Guardian's take on the world of football after newsletter promotion Wissa has made no secret of his desire to leave after a bid from Forest was rejected by Brentford in January and Andrews said he had decided not to involve him. 'It has been a very disrupted pre-season – I think you're aware of that interest in Yoane,' he said. 'I'm very clear on the situation. As a head coach, I want Yoane in the building, to be a part of the first team and the squad. I see that moving forwards but I am very understanding of his situation. I have a very good relationship with him, and that will persist, but we have to focus on the players who are ready to play and perform on Sunday and I don't think Yoane's in that space. For Yoane on Sunday, he won't be involved.' Brentford, who are interested in signing Dango Ouattara but must wait until Bournemouth have secured a replacement, have sold last season's top scorer, Bryan Mbeumo, to Manchester United, the captain Christian Nørgaard to Arsenal and the goalkeeper Mark Flekken to Bayer Leverkusen. Andrews would not confirm whether Jordan Henderson would be available to make his debut against Forest but he denied that so many departures could unsettle the squad. He said: 'The only one that really disrupts an ideal preparation is the Yoane Wissa situation. It's something that hasn't affected the players, I don't think. Would they like him to be part of the squad? Of course they would.'
