Orlando Pirates: Devin Titus vs Mashiloane?

Stellenbosch forward Devin Titus has been a thorn in the Orlando Pirates side for a few years now.
The last time he played against the Buccaneers at the Orlando Stadium, he scored the only goal as his team handed Pirates their first league defeat of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
On Wednesday, the 23-year-old forward returns to the very stadium he silenced thousands of Bucs fans just eight months ago. Both Pirates and Stellies are yet to win a league match after two rounds and will be desperate to turn things around.
The Bafana Bafana star is known for his pace and eye for goal and has led Stellenbosch's attack with the departure of Iqraam Rayners.
Pirates are vulnerable in defence, having conceded every league match this season. It remains to be seen who Abdeslam Ouaddou will field at right-back. Tshepo Mashiloane has been the coach's preferred right-back for the Buccaneers but the ex-Baroka defender has struggled so far.
If Orlando Pirates start with Mashiloane, Titus might have a good outing in Orlando once again. Oouaddou might also consider ex-stellies captain Deano van Rooyen, who played against Mamelodi Sundowns this past weekend.

Chippa United dismantle technical team, three coaches sacked!

Chippa United chairman Siviwe Mpengesi is at it again, firing three members of his technical team after just one game. Interim coach Musa Nyatama, goalkeeper coach Thembalethu Moses and analyst Prinil Deen have all been sacked. This follows Chippa United's 4-1 loss to TS Galaxy on Tuesday where Nyatama led the team on the bench. The game also marked the first without Sinethemba Badela who left Chippa United after two games in charge as head coach. Reports suggest Badela and newly-appointed Sporting Director Sinesipho Mali had disagreements on the direction the team should take. As things stand, the Chilli Boys are placed 15th on the log with a single point from their opening three league matches. Meanwhile, former Free State Stars mentor Luc Eymael is reported to be the next coach to take over at the Gqeberha-based outfit. 'Monyane should start for Bafana ahead of van Rooyen and Mudau' ex-Chiefs star

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels Amakhosi's new signing Thabiso Monyane is ready to feature for Bafana Bafana. The 25-year-old right-back has been in good form since joining Chiefs on a free transfer. Having struggled for game time at Orlando Pirates, the defender was released, together with Paseka Mako. Both players were signed by the Glamour Boys in June. With Deano van Rooyen injured and Khuliso Mudau not playing for Sundowns, Tsotetsi says this could be a perfect opportunity for Monyane to play for Bafana. 'He did not have a good season last season [at Pirates] and he has come to Chiefs looking fit, and I think he has come at the right time,' he said as quoted by Soccer Laduma . 'He is doing well in the first few matches for Chiefs, and you can see that he is gaining confidence. 'With Khuliso Mudau not playing and Thapelo Morena out injured and Van Rooyen only making his first appearance of the season recently, Monyane stands a good chance of being the first choice right back in the upcoming Bafana Bafana squad,' Tsotetsi added. 'You can see his confidence is growing game by game. He is doing well with the game time he is getting. I know coach Broos is a coach who gives players who are doing well a chance. 'So, I think he will be considered for the national team, and it will be good for him,' he concluded. Despite Tsotetsi's comments, Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos did not include Monyane in his preliminary squad on Thursday.
