Jadon Sancho could be Serie A-bound as AC Milan and Napoli join the race
Manchester United have been desperately trying to move on Jadon Sancho for over two summers now, but so far, it has proven to be a complicated ask.
The Red Devils must have been delighted to agree a loan deal with an obligation to buy for £25 million with Chelsea last summer.

But following an underwhelming campaign, plus his refusal to lower his wage demands, the Blues decided to opt out of the obligation by paying a penalty to United.
The 25-year-old is once again INEOS' problem to bear, with the co-owners even offering him to West Ham, both via a direct deal as well as part of a swap proposal, but both were turned down by Hammers boss Graham Potter.
Sancho's future up in the air
Juventus, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have all been linked with a move but the Englishman wants to stay in the Premier League.
There is interest from the likes of Brentford, Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa– the only problem is the England international's refusal to take a pay cut.

Even his former club Borussia Dortmund have left the race, and the 20-time English league champions have been left sweating about the forward's future, with his current deal valid until 2026.
With the prospect of losing him on a free looming large, the Old Trafford side are contemplating triggering his one-year extension clause, before trying to engineer another loan exit.
Serie A giants join the race for Jadon Sancho
Teamtalk have revealed that two Serie A giants, Napoli and AC Milan like the ex-Manchester City academy graduate. But whether they will agree to a permanent exit or a loan with an obligation to buy remains to be seen.

'Despite Jadon Sancho not living up to expectations at Manchester United, he is rated highly in the footballing community.
'Sources have told TEAMtalk that Serie A champions Napoli and Italian giants AC Milan have also taken a shine to the Manchester United winger.'
The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a possible replacement for Rafael Leao, which explains their interest, while the Serie A champions were initially eyeing Alejandro Garnacho, but given his high price, might have moved on to a more cost-effective option.
Italian teams do not usually prefer to take the obligation route, as they like the option to buy proposal much more. But can United afford to take such a risk with a player who they are desperate to shift?
Only time will tell. INEOS are desperate to get player sales going as they look to back Ruben Amorim in the market with further reinforcements.

Man United learn price of goalkeeper target Marco Carnesecchi

Manchester United have reportedly learnt that it would cost them between €45-50 million to land Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi. It was reported yesterday that Ruben Amorim considers current number one Andre Onana a key player at the club. Advertisement Nonetheless, there have also been significant reports suggesting the Portuguese coach is keen to replace the Cameroonian keeper after another less than convincing season between the posts. The Red Devils have recently been linked to experienced keepers like Emiliano Martinez and Marc-André ter Stegen to replace Onana in goal. Recent reports indicate that the club also have Italian Carnesecchi on their radar after his impressive displays in Italy. TuttoAtalanta now report that the Serie A club would expect between €45-50 million to sell their number one this summer. The Italian site claims that United are fed up with Onana's inconsistencies and see the Atalanta star as 'the first choice' to begin a new era at the club. Advertisement 'Carnesecchi is considered a pillar of the Bergamo team' but a significant offer could certainly change Atalanta's resistance to hold onto him. It is reported that were United to make a 'concrete offer' in the previously mentioned ballpark figure, Atalanta would seriously consider doing a deal. What's more, as Carnesecchi is a product of their youth team, a €45 million fee would be a huge financial gain for La Dea. Another factor that could help move the deal along is 'the excellent harmony between Atalanta and Manchester United'. The two sides have built up strong ties after United's purchases of Amad and Rasmus Hojlund in recent years. Liverpool Should Sell This Player Immediately in ‘Respectful' Move

Liverpool Transfers: Is Selling Andy Robertson Best for Business? Andy Robertson has never given Liverpool anything less than his all—an £8 million signing who became a Champions League and Premier League winner, a captain for club and country, and a symbol of Klopp's relentless gegenpressing machine. But as Atletico Madrid prepare an offer to take the Scotland international to Spain, the emotional question of his exit must give way to a practical one: is now the right time? Advertisement At 31, with sporadic form growing and Milos Kerkez identified as a ready-made successor, the writing may already be on the wall for the legendary fullback. Arne Slot is ushering in a new era built on speed, press resistance, and tactical flexibility that can endure the rigours of the Premier League. If Robertson has been informed that his first-team status is gone, and indications suggest that is the case, then the dignified route might be to allow him a starting role at one of Europe's biggest clubs, while Liverpool regenerates their squad. There's also a personal dimension. The prospect of joining his former teammate and close friend, Trent Alexander-Arnold, in Madrid, albeit for cross-city rivals, clearly appeals to both. Each player is represented by the same agency, and with a move potentially costing Atletico less than £10 million, this is a deal that suits all parties. Financially Sound, Emotionally Bitter Liverpool may not recoup a fortune in transfer fees, but the deal's real value lies in the £8–9 million per year wage relief it provides. That figure, for a player expected to be a rotational option at best, is not sustainable in a squad being reshaped by the Reds Sporting CEO, Michael Edwards. With a more efficiency-minded approach to contracts and roles, Robertson's exit would free up vital resources to invest in areas of greater need. Advertisement This isn't about disrespecting a legend, it's about avoiding stagnation and taking advantage of the current circumstances. Liverpool kept James Milner perhaps a season or two too long, and Naby Keïta perhaps four. Edwards and Richard Hughes appear intent on reversing that trend: exiting players at the right moment, not the sentimental one. The shift in power has altered and it can lead to a new dynasty of silverware. Kerkez, younger, cheaper, and stylistically aligned with Slot's approach, is the sort of strategic signing that underpins a modern rebuild. But to integrate a player like that, the pathway must be clear—and as long as Robertson remains, it isn't, which could lead to issues in transition. Farewell with Honour, Not Regret Liverpool's summer is already defined by departures: Trent, Kelleher and now possibly Robertson. But unlike the free exits of seasons prior, Robbo's move would at least bring modest compensation and a respectable landing spot for a club great. This isn't a forced exit, it's an evolution. There could be as many as fourteen players moved on before the close of the summer window and trust must be placed in the executives leading this alteration of assets, as that is what they are. Advertisement Slot must be given the room to build without ghosts of the past haunting the pecking order, potentially the changing room also. And Robertson, ever the professional, deserves to end his Liverpool chapter on his terms—not sitting on the bench, nursing minor injuries and fading from memory. Atletico offers him relevance, top-level football, and a new challenge in a different tactical environment. Michael Edwards has always known when to sell when to replace, and when to let go. This move, if completed, is not about ruthless detachment. It's about growth—for both the player and the club. Sentiment built Liverpool's recent past and it saw a great team fade out of the title picture until this last season. Strategic clarity will build its future which has to be geared towards continual success. And as much as it may hurt, letting Robbo walk might just be the most respectful thing Liverpool can do.
