One Viking is represented on special team built by Bleacher Report
When it comes to players being underappreciated in the NFL, it happens all the time.
That is what made the exercise done by Bleacher Report this week so fun to look at. They published an All-Underrated team heading into training camp. Gary Davenport of the site created the team, and within it, he included one notable Minnesota Vikings player, Jordan Addison.
The third-year wide receiver was mentioned in the team's wide receiver group and is arguably the best in the group.
Davenport writes, "If Jordan Addison played somewhere other than Minnesota, he might already have a higher profile than he does. After all, Justin Jefferson casts a long shadow. However, Addison has been a solid young receiver in his own right. Despite averaging only 103.5 targets in his first two NFL seasons, the 5'11", 175-pounder posted at least 875 receiving yards in both of those campaigns. He has also been an absolute force in the red zone, reeling in 19 touchdowns to date."
Jordan Addison could easily be a number one receiver for many other teams. The Bengals know about this situation, as they have Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. It helps both men avoid double coverage, which in turn helps their quarterback find them more easily.
Addison again enters his junior season in the NFL with high expectations.

NFL Top 100: Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Lavonte Davis, 2025 Cardinals opponent, is No. 96
Bucs LB Lavonte David, whom the Cardinals face in Week 13, is in the top 100 for the seventh time in his career. Another two players were revealed as part of the 2025 edition of the "NFL Top 100" on Wednesday. Two players in reverse order from 100 to 11 of the top 100 players in the league right now, as voted on by NFL players, are being revealed daily each weekday for nine weeks, followed by a show revealing the top 10 on September 1. On Wednesday, players No. 95 and 96 were revealed. New Arizona Cardinals linebacker Josh Sweat was named No. 95, as we posted about already. No. 96 is one of the Cardinals' 2025 opponents, Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David. NFL Top 100: No. 96 Lavonte David, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers He was No. 99 last year. Bucs tackle Tristan Wirfs said in the video that David, who is 35 years old and enters his 14th NFL season, is "so underrated, so slept on." Wirfs added that David should have multiple Pro Bowls and that he should have made this past year's Pro Bowl. David has only one Pro Bowl selection, in 2025. He has, though, been in the top 100 seven times. Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson said of his division rival that David "is athletic and hasn't lost his athleticism." Wirfs cited how David was clocked running 19.5 miles per hour while chasing down Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. He is physical, still very athletic and very smart. The Cardinals will face him and his Bucs in Tampa Bay in Week 13. In five career games against the Cardinals, David has 27 total tackles, three for loss, two quarterback hits, two pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one he returned for a touchdown. Top 10 NFL QBs - Where Is Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes?
Top 10 NFL QBs - Where Is Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was close to claiming the three-peat last season, but failed at the final hurdle against the Philadelphia Eagles. Advertisement Not putting up the big numbers we were acustomed to earlier in his career, some think Mahomes has regressed slightly from his ridiculous standards set, and with Kansas City now playing to Steve Spagnuolo's defense, instead of the other way around, some are cooling on the idea of Mahomes still being "the" quarterback in football. Yes, he still has the resume that is unmatched by current players, but when it comes to who is the best quarterback right now? That is quite the conversation. And for Fox Sports, in naming their top-10 quarterbacks entering the 2025 season, Mahomes has been knocked off his illustrious perch and comes in at No. 2, with MVP winner Josh Allen atop the mountain. "Mahomes enters 2025 with a chip on his shoulder after the Kansas City Chiefs got blown out in Super Bowl LIX. Mahomes is also coming off his least productive year as a starter as he threw for 3,928 yards — his first sub-4,000 season — and tied a career-low with 26 touchdowns," Fox Sports writes. Advertisement "But, in 2025, he should have one of the best supporting casts since Tyreek Hill left. Rashee Rice, who sustained a torn ACL last season, should be back by Week 1, while Hollywood Brown, who started just one game last season because of multiple injuries, will be at full strength, and 2024 first-round draft pick Xavier Worthy will have another year in the Chiefs' system." Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes during Super Bowl Burke-Imagn Images The last thing the NFL wants is a Mahomes who is seething and seeking revenge, and he has no shortage motivation with a host of publications and media personalities predicting that he and the Chiefs are about to fall off a cliff. Having been up for eight years, making at least the AFC Championship game in each season, naturally, a fall will happen, right? Advertisement Some think that will happen this year, and with Mahomes' form dipping from his usual high standards, the Chiefs will struggle. But he has Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown back, along with a healthy Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce, who wants to end his career on a high. Many are doubting Mahomes in 2025, and now he's been knocked off his No. 1 spot. Let the revenge tour begin. Related: Should Chiefs Sign 'Chain-Moving' Free Agent?
