This award-winning pizzeria is opening its first permanent restaurant in east London
Bad Boy Pizza Society (BBPS) stemmed from silly beginnings. It began life as a parody university society in Southampton in 2018, set up by four friends who wanted to help students get discounted pizza out. Since then, it's made serious leaps to become one of the best pizzamakers in the capital. Its 'Sausage Party' pizza was even named the best pizza in the entire country.
BBPS has dished out its award-winning pizza at residencies across London, from Belleville Brewery and Next Door Records to Seven Dials Market and Vinegar Yard. Now, BBPS has finally got the keys to its very first permanent bricks and mortar pizzeria.

Bad Boy Pizzeria will land in Bethnal Green this summer. It'll be a slice shop by day and a casual sit-down pizzeria by night, serving up its beloved New York style pizza alongside small plates and sides like 'chicken vodka parms', 'giant caesar sharers' and 'fluffy Sicilian squares'. The drinks menu will feature BBPS's brand new house lager as well as wines, local beers and shots.
Sam Clowes, BBPS co-founder, said: 'Having our own space means full creative control and the ability to build a place that feels like home for us and our customers. We've spent a lot of time getting everything right - from the pizza dough to the design of the space - and we can't wait for people to walk in and feel like they're part of the society.'
To secure the funds to make the pizzeria a reality, BBPS has launched a Kickstarter, which will remain open until June 10. The donations will help pay for seating upholstery, a tile counter, extraction and stud walls. If you pledge support, you could be rewarded with stuff like free pizza, exclusive BBPS merch or a photo on the pizzeria's wall of fame.

Maya Jama unveils major change to Love Island just before launch
Love Island returns later tonight with its new series and host Maya Jama has teased what to expect from her fashion choices throughout the ITV2 show this summer Host Maya Jama has teased over her wardrobe for the latest series of Love Island, which launches later tonight. The presenter returns to front the reality TV show as a dozen islanders enter the villa abroad for the first time. Maya, 30, has been met with praise over outfits that she's modelled hosting the ITV2 show in the past, with her fashion choices often complimented by fans. She has now teased what to expect from her wardrobe for the new series. The presenter will join the original twelve islanders in the villa in Majorca on tonight's launch episode as they get coupled-up for the first time and then return on occasion throughout the series. She's teased that viewers can expect to see her in vintage-inspired designer looks. She's said to have showcased one example on a yacht last night as she made a "showstopping" entrance ahead of entering the villa itself. The "preloved" outfit consisted of a Versace one-piece swimsuit and sarong. Maya told the Sun: "We're doing all archive, vintage, Nineties runway inspired." The presenter, who has hosted Love Island since 2023, having taken over from Laura Whitmore, went on to say they are all from "hidden archives". She continued: "The designers have been hunting them down for the last few months for me. Everything should have a runway reference." She suggested to the outlet that her wardrobe for the new series will be "very vintage". Maya then teased that she has chosen fashion options that she can't "rip" or "ruin" during production of the reality TV show. She explained that that is because the vintage outfits have to "go back" after the host has worn them. She shared photos of herself modelling the swimsuit on board the yacht on Instagram yesterday and wrote in the caption: "Having fun with it .. Love Island starts tomorrow at 9pm." Maya later added: "Wearing full archive Versace." Tonight's launch episode will introduce the first twelve islanders to viewers. It's been announced that the process of them coupling-up for the first time will be "slightly different" this year, with Maya revealing the details to the girls, prior to the arrival of the first six boys taking part this series. After getting the six of them to share their respective types with her, the presenter tells them: "This year things are slightly different. You've told me what your type on paper is, but does that match your ideal man in reality?" As they line up, Maya announces: "Girls, in front of you there are six love hearts and each boy has given me their dating profile which is written on each of these hearts - shall we have a look at what these boys have to offer?" Once they have looked at the profiles and discussed them as a group, they are given just seconds to make a decision on who to couple up with first. ITV has teased that they must run to a heart but only one girl is allowed at each one. Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Sophie Habboo's 'really bad' craving as Jamie Laing forced to intervene
Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo opened up about her pregnancy on the first episode of the couple's rebranded podcast NearlyParents, which has now launched this week Former Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo has opened up about a "really bad" craving that she's experienced during her pregnancy. It was brought up by her husband Jamie Laing on an episode of their podcast released this week. Sophie, 30, and Jamie, 36, announced that they are expecting a baby together last week. Their joint post on Instagram included footage from an ultrasound scan and Sophie has since showcased her baby bump in several photos. The couple also shared some career news with fans after the pregnancy announcement. Sophie and Jamie revealed that their podcast would be rebranded as they embark on a "new chapter". The podcast was formerly called NearlyWeds and then NewlyWeds, following their wedding in 2023. It will now be called NearlyParents in the lead-up to the birth of their first child. In their debut episode, titled We're Having A Baby, which was released today, Sophie and Jamie spoke about discovering that she was pregnant among other topics related to the news. It included discussing pregnancy cravings. They told listeners that at one point Sophie had a craving for caviar, though she said that she didn't end up eating any after looking into the prospect. Jamie said: "You didn't eat it but you had a craving for it and I put a stop to it." He shared on the podcast: "Sophie said 'Oh, it's really annoying. I've got a really bad craving'. And I said 'Well, what is the craving?' She said 'Caviar.' So, we went to a store." Sophie said that the couple went around London at 8pm that night in an attempt to find a store that sold caviar and was open. Apologising to her husband, she said: "I'm sorry, please don't hate me!" Jamie added: "We found a caviar store and we went in there, and there was caviar there. And I was like, 'Okay, we're surely not buying this. The pot was £240, and I was like, that craving has to stop there and then. And thank God, you came to your senses." Sophie said: "I didn't come to my senses. I Googled it. It says I can't eat it. [...] I was going to give birth and then just be broke and never, ever be able like to eat again." It isn't just the NearlyParents podcast that the couple are working on together at the moment. Sophie is currently co-hosting BBC Radio 1 's Going Home show with Jaime while both Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton are on maternity leave. Sophie and Jamie, who are both former Made In Chelsea stars, wed in 2023 in ceremonies held in London and Spain. The couple had announced their engagement on Instagram in 2021, revealing that Jamie popped the question at the London hotel where they had their first date.
