Music composer Daboo Malik, now widely recognised as the father of singers Amaal Mallik and Armaan Malik, once dreamt of being an actor. In the early days of his career, long before becoming a respected figure in the music industry, he wrote a script inspired by the life of his brother, renowned composer Anu Malik. In a recently released episode on his YouTube channel, Daboo opened up about that time, revealing how he pitched the film to none other than Jaya Bachchan, who took it to her husband Amitabh Bachchan's ABCL production house.
'There was a point in my life when I wrote a script, Gayak, with my own hands. It was a big effort on my part, and I was determined to narrate the story myself. The film was based on the journey of my father and my brother Anu Malik, a story of a father and son, which I had closely witnessed. I submitted the script at ABCL, and Jaya ji liked it. Through the company, the film was greenlit, and we shot nearly 70–80% of it.'
However, fate had other plans. Just when he seemed on the cusp of realising his acting dream, the project came to an abrupt halt. 'ABCL collapsed. And with it, the dream of making Gayak remained unfinished.' Daboo went on to share how the sudden derailment of such a personal project took a massive toll on his mental health. 'I couldn't handle it. I had two children to think about, their future to secure. And the strange part is, despite coming from such a successful family, I had nothing. I was the brother of a prominent and successful music composer, but I had nothing at home for my children.'

He then recounted a deeply emotional and inspiring anecdote involving the late comedian Raju Srivastav, whom Daboo once helped during his early years in Mumbai. 'The person who supported me the most during that time was comedian-anchor Raju Srivastav. He made me feel that whatever I needed, he was there. He told me, 'Sit with me, I'll help you buy a house.' By then, he had become quite successful.' Daboo then reflected on their earlier encounter, years before Raju's fame.
'About 20–25 years ago, when Raju was still struggling, he came to meet me before leaving Mumbai. He said, 'Daboo ji, please give me some money, I want to return to my village. I don't think anything will happen for me here.' I hugged him and said, 'Take whatever money I have, and every month, I'll send you more. But don't leave the city.' This is a true story. And the result? Years later, when he became a superstar and I was looking for a house for my family, that same man came back into my life and said, 'I will make sure you never lack anything.' I will always be grateful to Raju Srivastav.'
From this first house, Daboo started a new chapter of his life and ventured into music composition, steadily beginning to carve his own niche before admitting defeat once again and passing the baton to his children.

Amitabh Bachchan's Success Story: The Impact of Numerology and Gemstones in Bollywood

I see Amitabh Bachchan in a warm study, adorned with gemstones, his expression calm and thoughtful. The image evokes a sense of wisdom and dignity. Bollywood, where success and failure can be decided in a single Friday, many celebrities turn to a variety of beliefs and practices to gain an edge. Among these, numerology holds a significant place. This ancient practice, which assigns a specific meaning to numbers and their influence on a person's life, has been publicly embraced by some of the industry's biggest names. A prime example is the legendary Amitabh Bachchan , whose life and career journey are often cited as a testament to the power of numbers. The Role of Numerology Numerology is based on the idea that numbers carry vibrations and can influence an individual's personality, destiny, and the events of their life. By analyzing a person's date of birth and the numerical value of their name, numerologists create a "life path number" and a "destiny number," which are believed to provide insights into their journey. For many, including celebrities, these insights can inform important life choices, from career moves to the spelling of their names. Amitabh Bachchan and the Power of Numbers Amitabh Bachchan's life is a remarkable story of immense success, followed by a period of significant professional and financial struggle, and then a phenomenal comeback. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo This rollercoaster journey has often been linked to numerological and astrological factors. According to various numerological analyses, Bachchan's birthdate, October 11, 1942, makes his "birth number" a 2 (from 1+1=2). The number 2 is associated with the moon, and its traits include creativity, diplomacy, and sensitivity. His "destiny number," derived from his full date of birth (11+10+1942), adds up to 1, which is linked to the sun, symbolizing power, authority, and leadership. Numerologists suggest this unique combination of a gentle, creative inner self (2) and a powerful, authoritative destiny (1) perfectly reflects his public persona—a versatile actor with a commanding screen presence and an empathetic nature. The Turnaround and Gemstones The most compelling part of Amitabh Bachchan's numerological story is his comeback. In the mid-1990s, after a string of failed films and the collapse of his company, ABCL, he faced significant financial hardship. It was during this period that he was reportedly advised to wear a Blue Sapphire gemstone. A blue sapphire is associated with the planet Saturn and is believed to bring fortune, luck, and stability to its wearer. Soon after, in the year 2000, he took on the role of host for the television show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The show was a massive success, not only pulling him out of financial distress but also revitalizing his career and cementing his status as a national icon. The blue sapphire, which he continues to wear, is often credited by believers as a key factor in his extraordinary reversal of fortune. He also wears an emerald, associated with the planet Mercury, which is believed to enhance communication skills—a fitting stone for a television host. The case of Amitabh Bachchan and numerology is a powerful example of the intersection of personal belief, cultural tradition, and the public spotlight. Whether it's the favorable combination of his birth numbers or the wearing of a specific gemstone during a crucial career juncture, the belief in these ancient practices has played a significant role in his narrative. While some may view it as superstition, for many, it's a testament to how these traditions can offer a sense of control and guidance, even for those at the very pinnacle of success.
