29 Maoists surrender in 2 dists & 5 held
In Narayanpur, eight Maoists, including two women and senior cadre DVCM Suklal Jurrie who carried Rs 8 lakh bounty, laid down arms before superintendent of police Robinson Guria. The group, carrying a combined reward of Rs 30 lakh, was active in the Kutul area of Abujhmarh. Among others were high-ranking members such as PPCM Hurra alias Himanshu Midiyam worth Rs 8 lakh, ACM Kamla Gota, Rs 5 lakh, and ACM Raju Podiyam, Rs 5 lakh.
Others included supply team members and party workers, each with rewards from Rs 1-2 lakh.
Police said that a woman cadre revealed that women members face physical and mental exploitation, describing their lives in the movement as "a living hell."
Each surrendering cadre was given Rs 50,000 as rehabilitation incentive and will receive benefits under the state's surrender and rehabilitation policy, including housing, security, employment, and skill development support.

In Dantewada, 21 Maoists—13 of them carrying a cumulative bounty of Rs 25.5 lakh—surrendered under district's Lone Varatu (return home) and Puna Narkem (new dawn) campaigns. Among them was Kaye alias Kesha Lekam who carried Rs 8 lakh, accused of involvement in a 2025 encounter in Parasbeda forests.
Women cadres included Jamli Kuhdam and Kumari Hidme alias Vijjo Oyam, both carrying Rs 1 lakh bounties and accused of participating in multiple encounters.
In Bijapur, joint teams of DRG and Bhairamgarh police arrested five active Maoists, including four carrying rewards totaling Rs 6 lakh, during a combing operation in the forests of Bangoli. Explosives, digging tools, and other banned materials were recovered. The arrested cadres were later produced before a local court. tnn

Ban on CPI (Maoist) and its affiliated outfits extended by one year
The State government has declared the Communist Party of India (Maoist) as an unlawful association for one more year under the Andhra Pradesh Public Security Act, 1992. The government has also imposed a ban for one year on the frontal organisations of the CPI (Maoist) such as the All India Revolutionary Students' Federation (AIRSF), Gramina Pedala Sangham (GPS), Radical Students' Union (RSU), Singareni Karmika Samakhya (SIKASA), and Viplava Karmika Samakhya (VIKASA). On November 11, 2005, the government had issued a notification and published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette declaring the CPI (Maoist) and its affiliated organisations as unlawful associations, and extended the notification year to year. As the banned organisations continued to indulge in unlawful activities, the government issued orders declaring them as unlawful on August 21, 2025, under Sub-Sections (1) and (4) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Public Security Act, 1992.

NEW DELHI: The FBI, in collaboration with Indian law enforcement agencies, has arrested suspect named Cindy Rodriguez Singh who was on US' top-10 wanted list. Accused of killing her son (6), Singh had fled to India in 2023. FBI director Kash Patel posted on X about the breakthrough. "FBI has arrested another Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitive: Cindy Rodriguez Singh. This is the 4th "10 Most Wanted" fugitive arrested in the last 7 months. Thanks to our local partners in Texas, where this case originated, @TheJusticeDept, as well as partners in India for coordination". While the place of her arrest was not clear, sources said she was identified on the basis of the multiple tattoos on her body and flown to New York after being apprehended. While CBI, being the nodal agency, apparently coordinated the operation, no immediate comment was available from the agency on the case. Singh (40), US national, was placed on the FBI's most wanted list in July. Born in Dallas, Texas, Singh has ties to India and Mexico. According to the FBI, Singh's younger son, Noel Alvarez, had disappeared in Oct 2022. That was the last time she was sighted. "On Oct 31, 2023, Singh was charged with capital murder in a Texas court and a federal arrest warrant was issued for her on Nov 2, 2023. On Aug 29, 2024, the FBI announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to her arrest and conviction," the FBI had earlier said in a statement.
