View more Video Transcript Uh, we found out that it is official from the team: Rashawn Slater, they're very, very good tackles, uh, suffered a tore pectoral. He is going to be out for the season, just a massive loss for that offense, and an offense that I've heavily invested in for fantasy this year. I think a lot of people have. I don't know now that we know that it's for sure. Here, Scott, I don't know if you want to chime in more on it. This is going to impact how I'm viewing Marlon Hampton for sure. It's going to bump him down a little bit because I think some concerns about the offensive line last year held them back. We thought that it was going to be a really good unit to start the season. They weren't quite top of the league like I thought they could be. Hampton's somebody that is going to have an opportunity to excel right out of the gate, and it's not that he can't overcome this, but I was very far ahead of some people on him, having him as my RB-12 in my rankings, and now I'm certainly going to have to rethink that, maybe bump him down a couple of spots. Yeah, remember, I just feel sick over the Slater news. Remember, offensive line play is more important than you might think for the running game, and it's more fixable or maskable, or you can work around it for the passing game. I'm not saying that you want a bad offensive line for your quarterback, but it's something; it's so important to the running game. It'syou just can't separate those two things. So I need to reevaluate how I feel about Hampton, who I wasI mean, he's one of the biggest risers of this preseason. As he's just looked like he's ready to come take over on a team that wants to pound the rock, but they have to change their mindset a little bit. We'll see how they coach up the guys after him, or if they can make a trade, if theythey may even go looking for some options when cuts come down and stuff like that, or some offensive lineman is unhappy in a different city, but it just breaks my heart because the player obviously impacted the most is Hampton, who, uh, you had him RB 12. I didn't have him quite that aggressively, but I felt like I was ahead of market too. And I'm lucky that I don't have the Hampton shares that I probably should have because I'm just getting cut in front of the line a few times on that. But again, offensive line play is more important to the running game and commonly held, and you can work around it in the passing game. Close

5 things that stood out in the Chargers' preseason win over the Saints
The Chargers improved to 2-0 in preseason play, defeating the Saints on Sunday. While the record is meaningless during this time of the year, there were still a few things to take away from this game regarding the evaluation process. Here is what stood out from Los Angeles' 27-13 win over New Orleans. Trey Lance is taking the lead Trey Lance made a strong impression in the Hall of Fame Game against the Lions, where he popped as a passer. Lance, who relieved Taylor Heinicke, wasn't as sharp in that department on Sunday, but he did make his mark with his mobility. He led the team in rushing with 48 yards on seven carries, which included a five-yard touchdown. 'He was a good presence and poised and in control,' Jim Harbaugh said about Lance. 'You make the right decisions. That's really what it comes down to. Not everybody can do it.' After Heinicke's struggles and another stock-raising performance, Lance is making his case to be Justin Herbert's primary backup. Eric Rogers excels Last week against Detroit, it was Nikko Reed who was the standout performer among the cornerbacks. While Reed was sidelined and not suited up, Rogers took the spotlight this week. The undrafted rookie out of Rutgers recorded two interceptions, one of which was returned for a 43-yard touchdown in the third quarter that extended the Chargers' lead to 17-3. He also had a pass deflection in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Rogers injured his ankle on the kickoff coverage unit. He was seen on crutches in the locker room after the game. Roster spot secured? Heading into the summer, I thought the Chargers would only roster four edge rushers, with those being Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipulotu, Bud Dupree, and fourth-round pick Kyle Kennard. But now, they are in a position where it might be five players rostered, and the fourth spot could end up going to Caleb Murphy. Murphy followed up a standout performance against the Lions with another dominant showing. He notched two sacks, including a strip-sack that set up the Bolts' first points of the game. Along with his defensive efforts, Murphy has been a core special teamer, working with the first-team coverage units. He's had a special teams tackle in both preseason games. Raheim Sanders emerges The Chargers' running back battle behind Omarion Hampton is heating up. With Najee Harris' availability uncertain due to his eye injury, they will need to figure out who will be Hampton's running mate if Harris is unable to start the season. After missing most of the practices and the Hall of Fame Game with an injury, Raheim "Rocket" Sanders made his presence known, leading all running backs with 42 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, while adding a catch for 11 yards. Questions on offense The Chargers picked up the win, but it was largely due to the defensive efforts, while the offense was disjointed, especially early on in the game. Heinicke only completed one of his five passes for eight yards. Lance was 50% on his passes. With the passing game taking a backseat, it didn't offer much from an evaluation standpoint for the receivers. The interior part of the offensive line also struggled, particularly in picking up stunts.

The Chargers defeated the Saints, 27-13, in a preseason game that featured a handful of standout players. At his media availability, head coach Jim Harbaugh highlighted six of them that impressed him: Rogers, the undrafted rookie out of Rutgers, took advantage of his extensive playing time. Rogers recorded two interceptions in the game, including a 43-yard interception returned for a touchdown in the third quarter. Harbaugh called it "as good a play as I've ever seen." Rogers left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury and was seen with crutches after the game. Lance showcased his rushing ability, leading the team in that department with 48 yards on seven carries, including a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Despite the passing game taking a backseat in this game, Campbell still made the most of his opportunities. The former Gamecock finished with three catches for 62 yards, including a 49-yard haul late in the game from DJ Uiagalelei. Campbell also converted a two-point attempt from Lance. Williamson stood out in the tackling department, both on defense and special teams.
