The Pixel 10 Pro 30-second promo also mentions Video Boost. This feature sends the video shot by a Pixel user through Google's servers where the clip is improved through its famous computational photography capabilities.
The Google Pixel Watch 4 brings Gemini with you, and having the AI chatbox on your wrist can be very helpful. Outside of seeing Gemini in action, the promo video for the timepiece focuses on using the device while working out and exercising. That's because the Pixel Watch 4 will track your heart rate, the distance you've run, and more. Next up, the video clip for the Pixel Buds 2a highlights features such as the "Twist-to-adjust" controls, Active Noise Cancellation, and hands-free Gemini. With the latter, you can ask Gemini to handle tasks such as "Create a workout playlist," "Summarize my unread text messages," and "Add a haircut at 5 to my calendar. Google smart home speaker with Gemini detailed
During its presentation yesterday, when it announced the Pixel 10 family along with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, Google slipped in an image of an unreleased smart home speaker. Today a new leak gives us some details about it. First off, it's real, it's in development, and it will be launching at some point in the future. It will unsurprisingly be powered by Gemini. It will be offered in bright red, light green, black, and white (or Porcelain in Google parlance - the light green could be branded Jade and the black would be Obsidian if Google sticks with the names it's been using for the past few years). The speaker will light up at the bottom, and this will come on when you're talking to Gemini. You'll be getting the Gemini Live experience, but of course it will be limited to speech only - on your phone you can also use the camera to show it things. The speaker will apparently launch with some new natural-sounding voices for the AI assistant, and you'll be able to search for media and music and have it play it. You can also set up automations through the speaker, and it will be able to detect unusual sounds like glass breaking or a smoke alarm going off and send you alerts on your phone when it does. Google will even let you pair the speaker (or, presumably, multiple units) to a Google TV Streamer in order to spread the TV sound throughout the house. Now, customer service representatives are apparently talking about a new loyalty discount that's going to become available very soon, and it'll be completely unique to each a recent interaction with the carrier's customer support is to be believed, then the company will be introducing the new loyalty discount on September 1, the same date it planned to cancel previous ones. This new discount will reportedly be calculated for each user on a percentage basis. According to the representative that the customer talked to, the new discount will offer a straight percentage off of your entire bill. This value will be calculated by accounting for how many lines and plans a specific user Verizon had a pricing crisis. While some customers were receiving discounts as high as $40, others were randomly seeing price hikes across the board. Perhaps it was this nonsensical pricing that led the company to decide to cancel all loyalty discounts, period.
