He argued that the total interest paid would equal the value of the flat, meaning you're effectively a tenant to the bank until the loan is cleared. 'You're not the owner. You'll be kicked out if you lose your job and miss your EMI payments,' he wrote, adding that flats depreciate over time and aren't the great inheritance many believe them to be. In contrast, the same property could be rented for Rs 30,000–Rs 35,000 a month, leaving room to save and invest the post set off a flurry of responses. One user agreed that owning a flat in the current unstable environment sounded risky, noting that two decades ago it would have been a no-brainer. New Delhi: Billionaire Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, reclaimed his spot among the world's top 20 richest people, propelled by a massive $5.74 billion (Rs 5.03 lakh crore) surge in his net worth. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mr Adani's wealth now stands at $79.7 billion, marking a recovery after days of stock market turbulence. Monday's market rally saw Mr Adani as one of the day's biggest gainers, second only to Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, whose fortune swelled by $6.69 billion to reach $378 billion. Despite Mr Musk's one-day windfall, his net worth has taken a $54.5 billion hit in 2025. Mr Adani, on the other hand, has seen his wealth climb by $1.01 billion this year, bolstered by rising share prices across his conglomerate's portfolio. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranks Oracle's Larry Ellison second with $305 billion, followed by Meta's Mark Zuckerberg at $269 billion and Amazon's Jeff Bezos at $243 billion. Tesla Reshuffles Engineers After Abruptly Ending Dojo AI Project
(Bloomberg) -- Tesla Inc. reassigned engineering staff in moves impacting multiple teams after Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk disbanded the electric-vehicle maker's in-house chip and supercomputer project. The defunct operation, known as Dojo, has been split into parts, with personnel being distributed across several groups. At least some software-focused personnel now report to Ashok Elluswamy, who leads Tesla's AI efforts across robotaxis and humanoid robots, according to people familiar with the matter. Other engineers working on silicon or semiconductors report to Aaron Rodgers, who oversees hardware for Tesla's autonomous driving efforts and is responsible for its AI5 chip, said the people, asking not to be identified discussing internal changes. Firmware staff are now under Silvio Brugada, who's led security engineering and assumed more responsibility after David Lau departed from his role as head of software engineering. Representatives of Tesla and Musk didn't respond to requests for comment. The moves show how Tesla is regrouping after abruptly ending the Dojo project, which revolved around an in-house artificial-intelligence supercomputer for developing driverless-vehicle technology. After Bloomberg News first reported the decision last week, Musk confirmed it on social media, saying on Aug. 10, 'I had to shut down Dojo and make some tough personnel choices.' While he didn't name any individuals involved, Bloomberg reported that Dojo leader Peter Bannon has left the company.
