Debenhams shoppers snap up 'comfortable' sandals that 'look and feel great from first wear'
The sandals are ideal for people who want "all-day comfort" as customers leave five-star reviews
Debenhams is selling a pair of summer sandals that shoppers say are 'comfortable' as soon as you try them on. Others have been so impressed they say the shoes not only feel 'great' on your feet, but also look 'good' too.
Better still, the sandals have been given a half price discount. The online retailer's EverAu Australia Mallard Leather Twin Buckle Sandals have been slashed by 52%, dropping down from £89 to £42.99. The sandals come in five different colours, including camel, white, black, navy and brown.
Sizes vary from a three to an eight, but some options are already selling out. According to Debenhams, the Mallard Leather Twin Buckle Sandals are an ideal buy if you want "all-day comfort" as your feel will "stay happy from sunrise to sunset".
The Mallard Leather Twin Buckle Sandals come packed with "extra comfort and safety features". These include adjustable buckle straps, a cushioned cork sole, and a waffle-like pattern for "enhanced" grip on wet surfaces.
The footwear's straps are made from leather, while the midsole is made from cowhide. The sole itself is made from EVA. These materials mean the shoes aren't vegan-friendly, which could be off-putting for some buyers. For a vegan-friendly option, Next is selling these faux leather Black Double Strap Buckle Footbed Slider Sandals for £20.
Regarding care instructions, if you want the sandals to last, Debenhams says: "Please air the footbeds regularly. Allow time for your sandals to be worn in. Avoid leaving your sandals in direct sunlight." As the sandals are over Debenhams' minimum order threshold for free delivery, this means customers won't have to pay extra for postage. Standard delivery takes up to four working days; if you want them sooner, you'll have to pay more.
Although only eight customers have left reviews so far, they are all five stars, earning the sandals an average customer rating of five out of five. However, this does mean negative reviews are limited if you want more balanced feedback. One shopper, called Melanie, said: "Navy twin buckle sandals. Amazing quality. Very comfortable. Would highly recommend."
Katherine said: "Very comfortable and look great with dresses and jeans." A third wrote: "Very comfortable sandal lovely colour will go with lots of other items, classic style which is timeless." A fourth put: "Lovely coloured mules with plenty of holes on the strap to make them a comfortable fit. Would highly recommend."
Melsie said: "I haven't worn these out yet, but they look and feel great and were really comfy when I tried them on." Hughes said: "Excellent shoes. Extremely comfortable. Won't be disappointed if you purchase." Cara added: "Very comfortable, look stylish, would recommend, nice colour."
Although Deborah started off her review by saying: "Great pair of buckled sliders, very comfortable and cushioning," she went on to share an issue she had. "I had usually take a size 5 but size 5 was far too big so got size 4 and fit perfectly. So I recommend to go a size to your usual shoe size," she told fellow customers.
Debenhams isn't the only fashion brand selling 'comfortable' twin buckle sandals. Other alternatives include New Look is selling these Mink Faux Leather Buckle Strap Sandals for £16.99 that have a customer score of 4.7 stars out of five.
One customer called Laura said: "I've worn them a few times and they are very comfortable, like walking on clouds." Another put: "Love these! Feel super comfy so far and look really nice." Kae said: "Flattering fit and extremely comfortable." On Amazon, shoppers can get these Truffle Kati Women's Chocolate Mule Sandals for £16.99.
