Former footballer David Beckham, who is recovering from surgery after enduring a decades-long injury, was happy to share the spotlight with his mum, Sandra, as she marked her latest birthday
David Beckham gathered members of his family around him as he paid tribute to his mother on her birthday. The football star is the son of former hairdresser Sandra - who was celebrating her latest birthday this weekend.
David, 50, was on hand to help his mother ring in her 76th birthday on Saturday. And he brought at least his wife Victoria, 51, and son Romeo, 22, to the celebrations - with former Spice Girl Vicky documenting the day online.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the former singer shared a sunny snap of David posing alongside Sandra and a huge birthday cake that had been cut open to show a colourful sponge. A second image showed Romeo also posing with Sandra for a photo while Victoria added a caption stating "Happy birthday Nanny."

The cheerful scenes came just hours after David had revealed he is recovering from surgery. While the celebrations also come amid an ongoing feud within the family.
For months there have been reports that eldest son Brooklyn, 26, has been distant from his family - not least thanks to the fact he apparently snubbed David's recent landmark birthday celebrations. But taking to social media, Brooklyn shared a tribute to his grandmother.
The influencer shared a throwback picture of himself with Sandra, and captioned it: "Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much."
David also shared a gushing post of his own to celebrate his mother's birthday, and made sure to give Brooklyn a nod. He captioned the tribute post: "Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day.
"Thank you for always being there for us all Love you x @sandra_beckham49 @lynnebeckhambriggs1972 @jo_jo_beckham_ @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven."

Last week, fans were concerned to see David in hospital after undergoing surgery. He has since been spotted sporting a sling to support his arm.
On Friday, a source close to David confirmed to the Mirror that he had undergone secret surgery to repair a broken wrist that he sustained 22 years ago - during a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003.

'It had been giving him problems recently and so he wanted to get it fixed,' the source confirmed.
They also added that he planned to check out of the hospital soon and 'hoped' to be able to get to Atlanta in time for his Inter Miami football team's next knockout match in the Fifa world Cup against his former club Paris Saint Germain on Sunday.
Photos were shared via social media showing David in a hospital bed.
Victoria shared a snap of David lying in bed, adding "Get well soon, Daddy," over the snap of him smiling while wearing a hospital gown. She also gave him a friendship bracelet made with white beads to form 'Get Well Soon'.
David recently revealed his long-running career left him with multiple injuries and years of "wear and tear". He said: "Certain parts of my body were a real mess."

Will Brooklyn Beckham put family rift behind him and wish his little sister Harper a happy 14th birthday?

is preparing for her upcoming 14th birthday – with a dark cloud on the horizon. Her parents are deeply worried her big brother Brooklyn won't be in touch to send his best wishes amid the rift that has torn the family apart. It comes after Brooklyn, 26, shunned all of his father's recent 50th birthday celebrations. Sir David and Victoria – now Lady Beckham, 51 – were furious when their eldest son and his wife Nicola Peltz didn't contact Harper when they visited London for a photoshoot with French-Italian label Moncler last month. Now they are said to be worried the same thing will happen on Harper's big day, July 10. 'Brooklyn and Harper used to be inseparable,' says a source. 'He adored her, he hopefully still does, but the problem is that Brooklyn has a track record for ignoring family birthdays now. 'It would be devastating for Harper not to hear from him. She hasn't done anything and she's only 13-years-old. 'David and Victoria very much blame Nicola for all of this but hopefully Brooklyn will see sense. 'While Harper doesn't have her own Instagram yet, the family thing is to tag her in on their posts as #harperseven.' Influencer Brooklyn and Ms Peltz, 30, no longer speak to Sir David and Lady Beckham, with the couple believing that she controls Brooklyn. Before the family fall-out, Ms Peltz would post on social media that Harper was her little sister. Beckham sources say that this was all part of a move to 'make Nicola look good'. Brooklyn gave his parents hope that he won't shun Harper when he wished his grandmother Sandra, Sir David's mum, a happy birthday via Instagram amid the fall-out with his parents. It was the first time Brooklyn had acknowledged any of his family on social media since the squabble deteriorated last month after he and Ms Peltz snubbed all of Sir David's 50th birthday celebrations. Sharing a throwback picture of himself and grandmother Sandra, Brooklyn wrote in a caption: 'Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.' The post came two days after Brooklyn marked the 83rd birthday of his father-in-law, US billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz. As well as snubbing his father's milestone, Brooklyn didn't wish Lady Beckham a happy birthday when she turned 51 in April, nor her father Tony Adams on his big day in May. Brooklyn also failed to toast his parents on Mother's Day and Father's Day this year.

Kneecap all smiles as they party with Jamie Dornan after Glastonbury set

After their Glastonbury set, Kneecap enjoyed post-performance celebrations with Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan - and they all smiled while posing for a photo together Kneecap were all smiles while partying with Jamie Dornan after their Glastonbury Festival set this afternoon. The hip hop trio, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, posed with the Fifty Shades of Grey actor after their performance. In a photo shared on the group's Instagram Stories, the band can be seen posing for a photo while sitting down with Jamie, who is also from Northern Ireland. The 43-year-old star, who was named one of Ireland's greatest film actors by The Irish Times in 2020, was pictured holding a can during the post-gig celebrations. Kneecap have been in the headlines after member Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence. In reference to his bandmate's upcoming court date, Naoise O Caireallain, who performs under the name Moglai Bap, said they would "start a riot outside the courts," before clarifying: "No riots - just love and support, and support for Palestine." In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said their performance would not be "appropriate". During the performance Caireallain said: "The Prime Minister of your country, not mine, said he didn't want us to play, so f*** Keir Starmer." He also said a "big thank you to the Eavis family" and said "they stood strong" amid calls for the organisers to drop them from the line-up. O hAnnaidh, 27, wore a keffiyeh during the set, while member JJ O Dochartaigh, who performs under the name DJ Provai, wore his signature tri-coloured balaclava as well as a T-shirt that said "We are all Palestine Action", in reference to the soon-to-be banned campaign group. News broadcasts criticising the hip hop trio played from the sound system before they walked onto the stage were booed by the Glastonbury Festival audience. The trio opened with the song Better Way To Live from their 2024 album Fine Art and also performed tracks including Get Your Brits Out and Hood. Access to the area around the West Holts Stage was closed around 45 minutes before their performance after groups of fans arrived to form a sea of Irish and Palestinian flags. Earlier on Saturday, the BBC confirmed they would not be live-streaming the set but said the performance is likely to be made available on-demand later. O hAnnaidh was charged with allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah, while saying "up Hamas, up Hezbollah" at a gig in November last year. On June 18, the rapper was cheered by hundreds of supporters as he arrived with bandmates O Caireallain and O Dochartaigh at Westminster Magistrates' Court in Free Mo Chara T-shirts. He was released on unconditional bail until the next hearing at the same court on August 20. Elsewhere at the festival, Haim were revealed as the surprise act on the Park Stage at 7.30pm on Saturday. The band bounced on to the stage in black and silver outfits and tore into a raucous version of hit single The Wire. After the song, singer Danielle Haim said: "On our first album, we came to Glastonbury and we played the Park Stage, I love you, and it was the best show I had ever played, until now, this tops everything." The band was revealed as the surprise act with a red LED sign, similar to the one on their new LP I Quit, which was released earlier this year. The sign read "the Haim show is about to begin". Haim also dipped into some of their best-known songs, such as Summer Girl, Want You Back and one of their latest singles, Relationships. On the Pyramid Stage, Pulp were revealed to be Patchwork with the Sheffield-formed Britpop band paying homage to their breakthrough 1995 stand-in headline set during the performance.
