Scarlett Johansson embraced seamless summertime style with her attire for the premiere of 'Eleanor the Great' during the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday. The film, starring June Squibb, marks the two-time Oscar-nominated actress' directorial debut.
Johansson opted for a sleek, simple black shift dress by Prada with thin halter straps. The sleeveless look featured a midi hem with a square neckline. The silhouette created a formfitting look with loose fabric for ease of movement.

Along with the simple black dress, Johansson opted for a pair of pointed-toe black leather pumps. Her accessories included minimalist gold pieces of jewelry, including earrings, rings and a delicate bracelet, all of which served to complete her look.
At the premiere, Johansson was joined by her husband of nearly five years, Colin Jost. The 'Saturday Night Live' writer styled a gray suit with a dark shirt, complementing Johansson's ensemble and minimalist aesthetic.
Cannes Film Festival marks Johansson's most high-profile 'Eleanor the Great' promotional tour moment of 2025 thus far. Back in March, the actress joined Squibb to present at the 2025 Academy Awards, wearing vintage Mugler with De Beers jewels.
Following March's Oscars ceremony, Johansson attended the Time 100 Gala wearing a black, sleeveless Tom Ford dress with Roberto Coin jewelry.
Johansson regularly collaborates with stylist Kate Young on her wardrobe for high-profile events. Young recently dressed Dakota Johnson and Julianne Moore for the Cannes Film Festival, as well.
Young was named WWD's Best Stylist for the 2025 Style Awards back in January. The stylist spoke with WWD about how the cultural conversation between fashion and celebrity has changed over the years. 'I really like women who inspire me, and this confluence of the most important fashion on the women who are representative of our time, our culture,' Young said.
'That confluence really does it for me. I appreciate camp and costume, but it's not hot to me. What I think I'm good at is representing who people are or how they want to be perceived in a way that's also relevant in the fashion world.'

Neil Young invites Trump to summer tour, ‘if there is not martial law by then'
Neil Young has extended an invitation to President Donald Trump to attend his upcoming 'Love Earth' summer tour, though with a pointed caveat: 'If there is not martial law by then.' The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, who has been feuding with Trump for years, made the offer Tuesday, June 3, in a post on the Neil Young Archives. 'When I tour the USA this summer, if there is not martial law by then which would make it impossible, let's all come together and stand for American values,' Young wrote. 'We will not be doing a political show. We will be playing the music we love for all of us to enjoy together. President Trump, you are invited. Come and hear our music just as you did for decades.' While the invitation may sound conciliatory, it reads more like a provocation. Trump was once a vocal admirer of Young, attending his shows and praising his performances. 'He's got something very special,' Trump told Rolling Stone in 2008, recalling Young's concerts at Madison Square Garden and his performances at Trump casinos. 'I've met him on occasions and he's a terrific guy.' Their relationship soured after Trump launched his presidential campaign and began using Young's song 'Rockin' in the Free World' at rallies without permission. Post Malone is joining the league of celebrities who've claimed a slice of Lower Broadway pie. Why it matters: Post Malone's announcement Tuesday that he'll open a Nashville entertainment venue proves Music City is more than a pit stop for the popstar-turned-country-crossover artist.
