Sheli, aka Sabre, shares her top tips
She is now writing a monthly health and wellbeing column 'Live Stronger, Live Longer' with The Scottish Sun online.
Here she shares her tips for staying fit and strong - no matter what life throws at you.
And in this month's column she reveals how to lose weight without going to the gym or using fat jabs.
LAST month, I set you a simple hydration challenge – one pint of water a day.
I was blown away by how many of you gave it a go.
So, this month, we're building on that momentum with a challenge that gets you moving – and no, I'm not talking about elite level fitness sessions or running marathons.
Let's talk NEAT. That stands for Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis – the terminology or name for the calories you burn through everyday movement that's not formal exercise.
Things like walking to the shop, standing instead of sitting, doing housework, gardening, even fidgeting – it actually all counts.
Why does NEAT matter? Because it's often the missing piece in many people's fitness puzzles.
You can eat well, you can hit the gym a few times a week, but if you spend most of your day sitting, you're missing out on one of the easiest ways to boost your health. Did you know that 10,000 steps a day is the equivalent to near 500 calories of energy used?
Scots Gladiator star Sheli McCoy reveals bizarre fan requests that left her gobsmacked
One of the simplest ways to track your NEAT is by counting steps.
It's easy, it's free, and most of us have a phone or smartwatch that can help.
Now, before you think 'I'm not a steps person', hear me out. You don't need to do it all in one go. Break it up throughout your day.
Walk while you're on the phone
Take the stairs instead of the lift
Park a little further from the supermarket
Do a lap around the block at lunch
This Month's Challenge
So here's your new goal, Scottish Sun readers – pick your level and stick with it for the next 30 days:
Moderately Active? Aim for 8,000 steps a day
Active? Push for 10,000 steps a day
Feeling Epic? Go big with 12,000 steps a day
You don't need to be perfect. If you fall short one day, that's fine – just get back to it the next. This isn't about pressure, it's about progress.
Getting fit doesn't have to mean changing your life overnight.
It's about stacking simple, healthy habits over time – and this one's a game-changer.
I am a Habit Formation coach and as long as you join me on this easy to follow guide each month I'll help you form the habits you need to.
One step at a time – literally. Let's go.

Don't be fooled into microbladed brows or lip blush – I too was sold a lie but I'm still getting laser 9 years on
She is now going through an expensive cosmetic journey to get rid of it FINE LINE Don't be fooled into microbladed brows or lip blush – I too was sold a lie but I'm still getting laser 9 years on Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) WAKING up with perfectly sculpted brows and a rosy lip tint - is what most people want after getting microbladed brows and lip blush. But for one beauty fan, this wasn't the case. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 The TikToker showed what her cosmetic treatment looked like after getting it done Credit: TIKTOK/@mskittenheels The TikToker, who is known as 'mskittenheels', has shared her story online and it's racked up over 218.2k views in just a few days. Back in 2016, she was sold on the idea of getting microblading, which is a type of cosmetic tattoo where a small blade is used to create tiny, hair-like strokes on your eyebrows, along with a lip blush. But she was told that it would fade away in around 18 months. But fast forward nine years to 2025, "they still haven't gone.' While the makeup did fade from its original "thin and brightness" she loved, the beauty fan revealed that it just didn't disappear. The lip blush, in particular, bled over her natural lip line as her skin softened with age, leaving her with a look she never wanted. But now she is trying to get rid of it, and now she is in the middle of a painful removal process, using saline for her lips and laser for her brows, with several more sessions to go. She wants everyone to know: "It's so much more painful to get rid of it than it is to have it done." "Don't be fooled," she writes in the caption section. She was told it was semi-permanent, but she realised it's just "a tattoo on your face." I tried the viral '53 method' to banish my 'chins' without going under the knife and the results were astonishing But she explains that her biggest takeaway is microblading and lip blush aren't temporary, they're permanent, and getting rid of them is a long and painful journey. One wrote: 'When I heard about these 10 years ago, I knew exactly how they would look within a few years.' To which she replied: 'I wish I had that foresight. I'm really regretting mine.' A second added: 'Don't forget the dreaded upper and lower eye liner that looks like eye shadow now.' 2 She is now on a journey to get rid of the permanent makeup Credit: TIKTOK/@mskittenheels To which the TikToker replied: 'I'm so glad I didn't have that (I was too nervous about the pain around my eyes) but yes I've seen that on other people and it's turned a blue colour.' Someone else asked: 'I really want my microblading removed but worried about how much it'll cost and how many sessions I'll need. How much did your session cost?' And the TikToker replied: 'My original session was nine years ago and it cost about £240 at the time and then £80 for the top up a few weeks later. 'Honestly I wouldn't recommend it after all the pain I'm going through to get them removed but others have told me theirs have come out fabulous so I really think it depends on who you go to and the technique used.'

I tried to swap my council house but got trolled for ‘living in a jungle', people say my home looks like a cannabis farm
Some reckon she has 'more plants than the garden centre' HOLY SMOKES I tried to swap my council house but got trolled for 'living in a jungle', people say my home looks like a cannabis farm Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WOMAN has been brutally trolled for living in ''a jungle'' after she tried swapping her council house with another property. From improving air quality and reducing stress to boosting ones mood, houseplants offer a wide range of benefits. Credit: facebook/House Exchange Home swap Council or housing associations UK ONLY 2 Whilst many liked the greenery, others weren't so sure of the look - which they dubbed living in 'jungle' Credit: facebook/House Exchange Home swap Council or housing associations UK ONLY Whether you opt for the Swiss Cheese plant or Peace lily, plants can help increase humidity levels, potentially alleviating dry skin, sore throats, and sinus irritation. But while many of us may have the odd plant here and there, it seems that one plant super fan has taken things to a whole new level. The woman, Mia Field, from Bedford, took to Facebook to share snaps of her plant-packed council home she wanted to swap with - and the greenery has left people totally divided. Although Mia said she loved the current house, she's keen to live closer to her family who are an hour's drive away. read more on homes POT OF GOLD How to unlock thousands of pounds of cash just from your garden Desperate to find someone to swap properties with, the young woman said: ''Hey, I have a 2 bedroom house in Bedford MK41 with a driveway and a generous amount of storage. ''I love the house, it has a lot of potential but I need to be closer to family in the Watford area. ''The smallest bedroom has a superking bed with a built in wardrobe - (just needs painting) large shed in garden, separate toilet and bathroom. ''I am looking for a 2 bedroom house in and around the Watford area please. Thanks.'' In the post, uploaded on the popular House Exchange Home swap Council or housing associations UK ONLY group, Mia also attached a variety of images of her current home - and needless to say, the shocking amount of plants left people with their jaws on the floor. The living room, for instance, featured numerous Monstera plants of an impressive size and huge leaves, as well as what appeared to be Areca palms. My council flat is so stylish thanks to second-hand finds - plus the treasure chest place you need to look for bargains To go with the aesthetic, Mia had also kept the sofa light green, adding a few cushions with a leafy design. The dining area, too, boasted several smaller and larger plants - some of which were hanging - as well as a fish tank. Some of the smaller plants were sat neatly on the white shelves, adding plenty of greenery and life to the room. The bathroom - though not as green - was also home to an array of plants, all sitting in gorgeous pots. The darker shade of the Calathea plants provided stunning contrast of the sage walls and the otherwise more neutral aesthetic. How can I get a council house? To apply for a council home, you need to fill out and hand in an application to your local authority. To find your local authority, simply use the Government's council locator tool on its website. Once you have access to your local council's website, it should offer you guidelines on how to complete your application. After applying, you'll most likely have to join a waiting list. Bear in mind, even if you are put on a waiting list, this doesn't guarantee you a council house offer. Your council should also offer you advice on how to stay in your current home and solve any issues you might have, such as problems with a private landlord or mortgage. You are eligible to apply for council housing if you are a British citizen living in the UK providing have not lived abroad recently. Each council has its own local rules about who qualifies to go on the housing register in its area, but it is based on "points" or a "banding" system. For example, you're likely to be offered housing first if you: are homeless live in cramped conditions have a medical condition made worse by your current home are seeking to escape domestic violence Once you are high enough on a council's waiting list, it will contact you when a property is available. Some councils let people apply at the age of 18, while others let you apply even sooner at 16-year-olds. EU workers and their families and refugees may also be eligible. A council house is reached through a points system, so depending on your housing needs, you may be considered low priority. The council will contact you about any available property once you are high enough on the waiting list. There is no limit on how long you can expect to be on the waiting list. Mia's council house has since taken the internet by storm, leaving fellow Facebook users totally divided. Whilst many liked the greenery, others weren't so sure of the look - which they dubbed living in ''a jungle'' and even ''a cannabis farm''. One troll said: 'Wow that's a lot of greenery plants. Like a jungle in there.'' ''How long does it take to water them all?'' another wondered. ''More plants than Garden Centre!!'' a third chuckled. A fat hit back at the critics, writing: ''Wow. I am speechless at the amount of plants. Absolutely breath taking. Your home is beautiful and the plants are incredible.'' ''No swap to offer but just wanted to say I love how much your home looks like a jungle fairy tale!'' a fan added.
