Switch 2 Version Also Tipped
In addition to the PS5 and Xbox Series updates, the same leak suggests that a Nintendo Switch 2 version will also be unveiled this month. Talk of the game joining the Switch 2 lineup has persisted since early reports about the new console's initial library. The claim gained further traction after one of the game's voice actors hinted at the possibility during a livestream.

Although no official announcement has been made by Rockstar Games or Nintendo regarding the next-gen or Switch 2 editions. However, industry watchers note that the company has a history of revealing major updates with little prior notice. If the August reveal does not occur, many expect the announcement to still take place before the year ends.
For now, the possibility of multiple platform updates for Red Dead Redemption 2 remains unconfirmed but widely discussed among fans and gaming outlets. The coming weeks may determine whether the rumours mark the return of Rockstar's acclaimed western to the spotlight in upgraded form.

PUBG: Battlegrounds to end support for these devices in November 2025

PUBG: Battlegrounds will end support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on November 13, 2025, forcing players to upgrade to current-generation systems to continue playing the popular battle royale game. Developer Krafton announced the transition during scheduled server maintenance, citing the need for improved stability and performance optimisations. After November 13, the game will only be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S platforms. Players using last-generation consoles will no longer be able to download or access PUBG: Battlegrounds, marking the end of nearly eight years of support for older hardware. Existing account data and purchased items will transfer automatically to current-generation consoles without requiring a separate migration process. PlayStation users must manually download the PS5 version from the PlayStation Store, while Xbox players will receive the upgraded version automatically through Smart Delivery. PlayStation 5 will run at 1440p resolution with 60fps, while Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 Pro will deliver 2160p at 60fps with Dynamic 4K support. Xbox Series S offers flexibility with either 1080p at 60fps or 1440p at 30fps settings. Krafton emphasised that dropping last-generation support will reduce memory-related crashes and enable more ambitious content updates. The developer described the decision as necessary for PUBG Console's long-term growth, despite acknowledging the difficulty of leaving longtime players behind. The move follows a broader industry trend of abandoning older hardware, with games like Genshin Impact recently announcing similar transitions. After nearly 12 years since PS4 and Xbox One launched, developers increasingly view supporting aging consoles as a barrier to innovation and stability improvements. Players seeking refunds can contact PlayStation or Xbox customer support teams, as Krafton will handle compensation requests through each platform's existing refund policies and procedures.
