This Mid-Engine Toyota Van Can Deliver Way More Tofu Than Some Dumb Corolla

Yahoo29-01-2025
So your father has a tofu delivery service and tasks you with driving the tofu up a mountain without spilling any of the goods. Don't worry, he already has a car, a trusty 300,000 mile Previa with a 5-speed manual transmission. Naturally, as one does, you fall into a mountain racing gang and you're the best downhill driver the group has ever seen. Thank god your dad didn't have something dumb and boring like a Corolla Sprinter Trueno. How would you fit even a reasonable amount of tofu in a tiny hatchback?
Now that you (the one and only Takumi Fujiwara) have gone pro or whatever, you don't need this Previa anymore and listed it on Facebook Marketplace in Fresno, California for some reason. Here's what the seller had to say about his titanic tofu toter.
93 Toyota previa
2.2l 4cyl
Rare 5 speed manual
290k mi
Runs drives great
Everything works
Estima rear cargo mirror
Str removable steering wheel
58 industries adjustible coilovers
3rd row seats
Clean title in hand current registration
Head turner everywhere it goes
$6k or trade for something cool
It seems to me that a well-modified Previa in good shape is probably worth the asking price, but that's a whole lot of mountain-running kilometers on the odometer. Would this monster still be capable of taking on the best FD RX-7s and Supras that the SpeedStars and NightKids can throw at it? I guess that depends on whether the buyer is as good a driver as Takumi. It was his goal to be the very best, like no one ever was (sorry, wrong show), after all.
The seller doesn't say whether the stereo still sounds good blasting Eurobeat. You'll have to find out for yourself by dropping $6,000 on your next daily driver. It would get a lot of attention at a Radwood event, that's for sure.

The Three-Wheeled Domino's Pizza Delivery Car That Time Forgot Is For Sale

The latest car news, reviews, and features. Once upon a time, we thought cars of the future were going to look just like this Tritan A2 three-wheeler: pointy and spaceship-like, straight out of comic books and The Jetsons . The future has sadly proven to be far less whimsical than that, but you can still live out that fantasy by scooping up one of the 10 Tritan Domino's Pizza delivery vehicles that just wound up for sale on Bring a Trailer. This is actually the second time in the history of The Drive that we've covered one of these things. The first was way back in 2018, when what appears to be a different chassis (that one was supposedly #5, whereas this is #7, per the listing) hit Facebook Marketplace for an eye-watering $23,000 . That car had a slightly different livery, with a Domino's logo on the wing and no text on the side. The seller of this particular car says the decals seen on it were recently applied and not the originals, which explains why they're absent in some images. The Tritan A2 was originally designed by a man by the name of Douglas Amick, who started his Tritan Ventures company in 1984 and promptly sold ten of these things to the pizza chain. Normal A2s—if you could ever call them such a thing—had a rear seat behind the driver's, but Domino's version had a pizza warmer. The A2 was an evolution of Amick's Tritan Aero 135, which supposedly achieved a drag coefficient of 0.135, to explain its namesake. Check out its wild sliding canopy top, and the drive belts that move the rear wheels: Bring a Trailer As the seller tells it, Domino's removed the pizza warmers from its fleet before selling them off, which is unfortunate, though surely a determined and clever buyer could rectify that with a little elbow grease. Power was originally supplied by a 440cc Savkel rotary, which was exchanged, at some point, for a 670cc Predator V-Twin connected to a CVT. You get both engines in the sale. This car resides in Michigan, has 40 listed miles, and the current bid stands at a far more reasonable $4,500 with six days remaining. That's sure to go up over the next week, but $4,500 is at least in the ballpark of reality as to what one of these barely usable, funky, fiberglass contraptions should cost. Bring a Trailer Anyone who has seen a TV commercial or YouTube ad in the last decade has been forced to sit through a Domino's spot, and it's clear the company favors offbeat attempts at viral ad campaigns to get people talking. If these Tritan trikes prove anything, it's that Domino's has been hard at that for a very, very long time. Got a tip? Let us know at tips@

Car Shipping in 2025: How the Auto Transport Industry Powers Economic Mobility

In 2025, car shipping has emerged as a crucial component of the U.S. economy, driven by technological innovation, the surge of online vehicle transactions, and shifting consumer expectations. With more Americans purchasing cars across state lines or relocating for remote work, demand for efficient auto transport services has never been higher. Whether you're an individual shipping a newly purchased EV or a business managing fleet logistics, understanding how the auto transport industry works is vital for both financial planning and strategic decision making. The rise of e-commerce and digital car marketplaces like Carvana, Vroom, and Facebook Marketplace has dramatically expanded the need for reliable vehicle shipping. Today's buyers no longer limit themselves to local dealers they shop nationwide, creating a logistics boom in the transport of personal and commercial vehicles. Artificial intelligence, automation, and route optimization platforms are dramatically improving delivery accuracy and reducing operational costs. Leading car shipping brokers now use AI driven logistics to predict demand, assign carriers efficiently, and streamline customer support. Key advancements: AI powered route planning cuts delivery time and fuel usage. Automated quote systems offer instant, transparent pricing. Mobile apps allow real-time vehicle tracking for customers. Customers typically choose between two main types of car shipping services: Open Transport: The most common and cost-effective method. Vehicles are transported on open carriers, exposed to the elements. Best for standard cars and budget conscious moves. Enclosed Transport: Offers complete protection from weather and road debris. Ideal for luxury, antique, or high-value vehicles. Typically 40–60% more expensive. Pro tip: Open transport suits 90% of vehicle moves, while enclosed transport is recommended for cars valued over $75,000. Shipping costs depend on several dynamic variables, including: Distance: The longer the trip, the higher the base cost but cost per mile decreases. Average Cost Example: Standard sedan, open transport, 1,000 miles: ~$850 SUV, enclosed transport, 2,000 miles: ~$2,000 The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulate the industry. Key regulations shaping the landscape include: ELD (Electronic Logging Devices): Mandated to reduce driver fatigue and ensure safety. Carrier Insurance Requirements: Carriers must maintain active cargo and liability coverage. Broker Transparency Rules: FMCSA enforces stricter compliance for brokers to prevent hidden fees or misleading service terms. Understanding these regulations helps businesses and consumers avoid scams and ensure accountability. With thousands of options available, choosing the right company can feel overwhelming. Here are essential steps to protect your investment: Get multiple quotes avoid extremely low offers (a red flag). Verify licensing search the FMCSA site for broker/carrier credentials. Read reviews check BBB, Trustpilot, and Google for consistency. Confirm insurance ask for coverage details and what's excluded. Clarify timing request a pickup window and estimated delivery date. Car shipping in 2025 is more than just a logistics task it's a reflection of a mobile, digital, and fast-paced economy. As online auto sales grow, and as businesses expand across regions, the demand for streamlined, transparent, and tech-powered car shipping will only increase. Whether you're relocating, managing fleet logistics, or investing in a long distance vehicle purchase, the auto transport sector offers powerful tools to move with confidence. TIME BUSINESS NEWS

NASCAR Driver and Model Toni Breidinger Robbed in New York, Seeks Help Online

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. NASCAR Truck Series driver Toni Breidinger revealed on X that she was robbed in New York. She took to social media to alert her fans from the Ithaca region in NY to look out for her items in case they were offered for sale on various online platforms. Ahead of the race weekend at Watkins Glen, the Victoria's Secret model revealed that her car had been broken into, and a suitcase with 'TB' written on it was stolen. It contained her personal belongings, including her 818 Tequila and Coach racing suit. It is likely that the person who executed the theft will use the internet to sell these items for a handsome price. As a result, Breidinger urged fans to look out for her items on several platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist, and other mediums. She wrote on X: Toni Breidinger, driver of the #5 Sunoco 94 Octane Toyota, waits on the grid prior to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono Raceway on June 20, 2025 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.... She started the race from P28, but as she was making moves in the race, a mechanical failure on her Toyota ended her day after huge flames billowed from underneath. Luckily, she was able to steer it safely to the pit road before coming out unharmed. Toni Breidinger's day goes up in flames at Watkins Glen. Caution is out. — FOX: NASCAR (@NASCARONFOX) August 8, 2025 Racing in her first Truck Series season this year with Tricon Garage, Breidinger has been trying hard to improve her performance. While finishing in the top 10 seems like a distant dream, she has finished in the top 20. Acknowledging the steep learning curve she has been going through, Breidinger said in May: "Yeah, there's honestly quite a bit of things that I was kind of surprised by this year. I knew the learning curve was going to be steep, and I knew that I had a lot to learn. But I don't think I realized how much I was going to learn, how much I'm taking away. "Like, after every race, I'm like wow, I feel like a new driver because I've learned so much. So, yeah, almost the unknown of I didn't know how much new stuff I was going to learn. In so many different areas, from the tracks and the truck and the aero. Yeah, I've been learning a lot, and I'm like, I can't believe I've been learning this much. Kind of crazy, but yeah."
