'As market leaders in Karnataka, a region with 99% TV penetration, Zee has a deep understanding of audience sentiment and their cultural nuances. We realise Kannada viewers are not homogeneous today, and differentiated content preferences are emerging, leaving a clear 'white space' for progressive, high-intensity narratives. Echoing viewer needs, we've developed a robust dual-channel strategy with Zee Kannada continuing to cater to our core family audience, while Zee Power captures a different beat with sharper, grittier, and more contemporary content lens. For us, Zee Power is not merely expanding our regional footprint, it is our way of redefining the landscape of Kannada television,' said Siju Prabhakaran, Chief Cluster Officer – South and West, ZEEL.
The second launch, Zee BanglaSonar, is a Bengali-language hybrid channel catering to viewers across West Bengal and beyond. The channel will offer a mix of fiction, non-fiction, and movies, with content specifically curated to include male audiences, a demographic Zee sees as under-served in the region.

Zee BanglaSonar launch has been strategically envisioned to complement our flagship channel Zee Bangla by catering to evolving and diverse audience base through differential content offerings. Zee BanglaSonar is being strategically launched, not only with a diverse programming slate, but also with content curated for the male audience. With the launch of Zee BanglaSonar we are about to unlock untapped potential through engaging storytelling that is rooted in tradition and relatable across our fiction, non-fiction and movies, delivering a truly differentiated experience,' said Samrat Ghosh, Chief Cluster Officer – East, North & Premium Cluster, ZEEL.
The two new channels are part of Zee's broader effort to expand its presence in India's
language-driven entertainment
market. Zee currently operates 50 channels across 11 languages and reaches 208 million households.
'With 'Z' Whats Next, we are reimaging entertainment through the lens of culture, creativity and technology. The 'Z' brand continues to stand as a cultural cornerstone for Bharat. It's a brand that evolves with its audiences while staying anchored in their realities, dreams and aspirations. The launch of Zee Power and Zee BanglaSonar further symbolises this vision, highlighting our conviction in the strength of Language markets and our commitment to delivering future-forward content that resonates deeply, reflects the pulse of a changing India,' said Kartik Mahadev, Chief Marketing Officer, ZEEL.

He made his debut in the film industry with Kannada film titled 'Anand.' Currently he is extremely active on social media platforms and has more than 1 million followers. Ashish Vidyarthi has made it clear — he's not interested in returning to Bollywood unless he is offered strong, central roles - in recent video. While talking to us, Ashish makes it clear the video was not a "knee jerk reaction. " "This video has been in my thought for a while. Over the years I have seen a lot of people doing self harm in our line of work. And I have always wanted to tell people how they can really support themselves to look at life in a different way. No one has a perfect life. Do not give up if you want something and it doesn't work out," he tells us. Talking about his notion behind the video he shares, "I'm an actor who is really very passionate about films and really wants to do amazing roles. But at the same time, I am continually knocking to get some amazing central roles. I'm very clear. I can carry projects. Don't try to sell me those five-day roles and tell me that this is the role to pivot the narrative." Refusing to let disappointments define him, Ashish explains how he has always found ways to move forward. 'What I wanted to communicate is that I have continuously looked for amazing central roles and while waiting for those roles I have not sat at home being upset, angry and irritated with people. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Brandi's Journey: Life After Storage Wars Paperela Undo So while I was waiting I created so many opportunities for myself.' Ashish who has done over 300 films has primarily been typecast into a villain. He urges filmmakers to look at him differently: 'It is also to tell directors and producers, hey listen, look at me outside of the prism of what I may have done up till now. I'm really hungry to do those roles. My track record doesn't show that I have done a lot of non-stereotypical roles. But I am hopeful, I'm not ready to write myself off,' he concludes.

Singer Mangli credits Tharun Kishore Sudhir for bringing her to Kannada film industry

The singer, speaking with warmth and gratitude at the event, said, 'D Imman's compositions are evergreen to me. Tharun Kishore Sudhir, thank you for introducing me to Kannada cinema through Roberrt, followed by a song in Kaatera, and now this song. 'Kapado Dyavre' is deeply emotional. When I first heard it, I felt the pain and love woven into it. It's a melody that doesn't just stay in your ears; it settles in your heart. Singing it was like living the emotions of a lover facing heartbreak. Feelings are universal. I believe this will touch anyone who has loved with all their heart," she says. Tara Anuradha admitted the visuals made her both happy and emotional. 'It shows lovers struggling, and if it's based on a true story, it should be told exactly as it happened,' she said, praising Rana and Priyanka's screen presence and Tharun's 'first class' work. Shruti noted that Elumale gives Raanna a chance to be recognised as a serious actor, while Priyanka adds charm to the film. 'It's not a small thing to give newcomers such opportunities, but Tharun does it without hesitation,' she added.
