
Officials inspect Jindal Waste Plant in Naidupet ahead of Andhra CM's visit
GUNTUR: Ahead of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's scheduled visit to the Jindal Urban Waste Management Plant in Naidupet, Principal Secretary for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Suresh Kumar, inspected the facility on Monday.
He was accompanied by CDMA Dr Sampath Kumar and Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu.
The team reviewed the plant's infrastructure, capacity, and daily operations. Jindal AP Projects President MV Chari presented an overview via PowerPoint, outlining waste intake from various municipalities, power generation, and operational requirements.
Officials toured critical areas such as the tipping floor, control rooms, boilers, and flue gas systems.
Suresh Kumar directed staff to prepare a detailed report highlighting the plant's waste handling capacity, municipal contributors, power output, and efficiency metrics, ahead of the Chief Minister's visit.
He also instructed the GMC Commissioner to deploy sanitation staff and intensify cleanliness measures. Additional Commissioner Challa Obulesu and other senior officials were present.

Swarnandhra 2047 document unit is best in all sectors
Puttaparthi: The Swarnandhra-2047 Vision Document District Unit was inaugurated by District Collector TS Chethan at the Collectorate on Monday. The unit has been established at the District Chief Planning Office within the Collectorate. Following the inauguration, the Collector participated in a virtual launch event conducted from Amaravati by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, CPO Vijay Kumar, and other district officials also attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector TS Chethan said that in line with a developed India, unit offices have been set up in all assembly constituencies to achieve the goals of the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision Document. He described this as a significant step forward across all sectors. Vision documents have already been prepared at the district, constituency, mandal, and secretariat levels. He further added that the documents not only outline the developmental goals to be achieved in the next five years but also the long-term development targets to be met by 2047. The action plan focuses on increasing the income of the common people, creating employment opportunities, providing essential infrastructure, and other developmental aspects. The Collector praised Naidu as a visionary leader whose vision plan is expected to yield great results in the future. He also mentioned that the foundation for this initiative has been laid within a year, and each constituency has been assigned a team of five members to implement it. He noted that the P4 policy is a key strategy to eliminate inequalities.

Govt. working to turn A.P. into knowledge hub, says Revenue Minister
Minister for Revenue Angani Satya Prasad on Monday said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister for Education Nara Lokesh are working together to turn the State into a knowledge hub. The Minister was presenting 'Shining Stars Awards' to meritorious students at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday (June 9). Speaking on the occasion, he said, 'As part of the government's goal to make the State a knowledge hub, we are giving 'Shining Star Awards' to recognise talent and encourage meritorious students who have topped in SSC and intermediate examinations. The government is working to bring changes in the curriculum from kindergarten to post-graduation (KG to PG).' The Minister said that Mr. Lokesh is putting the education system back on track. Mid-day meal scheme is being introduced for intermediate students, model schools are being set up across the State, infrastructure is being developed in educational institutions, he said while adding that priority is being given to skill development and skill census is being conducted for the first time in the country. Mr. Prasad asked all the students to use the incentives being provided by the government and rise to high positions. Alleging that the previous government had destroyed the education system in the State, he said, 'A.P. had been ranked third place in the education sector during the regime of TDP, but it came down to 19th place during the YSRCP rule due to destructive policies.' 'The previous government has bankrupted the State in all sectors. Six lakh people attended the beach festival held in Machilipatnam on Sunday. Flamingo Festival and no other such events were conducted during the YSRCP regime. Due to the blow of the previous government, not only the industries, birds and festivals went away from the State,' the Minister alleged.
