Sonic rolls out $1 menu items - but there's a catch
Fast food fans can snag a quick, cheap bite during Sonic's new 'Snacky Hour' — but they need to time their visit. Every day from 2 to 5pm, Sonic offers three $1 items: a corndog, two-piece mozzarella sticks, and a soft pretzel twist.
On Mondays, customers can pair these snacks with a 99-cent slush. Those visiting other days get 50 percent off drinks or Slush purchases from 2 to 4pm.
And on Thursdays, Sonic serves up a Buy One, Get One Free Footlong Quarter Pound Coney deal. All offers, plus app-exclusive specials, are available at Sonic's 3,500 locations nationwide.
Sonic's summer deals come just as the chain brings back fan-favorite Crispy Tender Wraps, priced at $1.99 on its FUN.99 menu — days before McDonald's relaunched its controversial Snack Wraps .
Sonic is one of the many fast food chains launching deals and new products. McDonald's has a Happy Meal for adults.
The McDonaldland Meal brings back beloved characters like Grimace , Ronald McDonald, Birdie, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese and Fry Friends. Fans get either a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, plus fries and a collectable tin with retro designs.
Dunkin' surprised fans by joining forces with Sabrina Carpenter for the second time in less than a year to create an all-new limited-time beverage — Sabrina's Strawberry Daydream Refresher.
Available until August 19, the beverage launched around the same time as other summer menu items like the Pistachio Signature Latte and Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf.

Maxim slammed as 'sexist' article teaching men how to 'cure' feminists resurfaces
Weeks after Maxim was slammed for its list of 'unsexiest' women, the men's magazine has come under fire again. Another article from the early aughts has now resurfaced, this time, taking aim at 'unshaven, militant, and protesting vegan ' women. Titled 'How to cure a feminist,' the controversial article listed four ways for men to tame feminist females - along with a photo series showing the woman gradually undressing down to a bikini. The piece, written in November 2003, was recently shared to Reddit where offended users immediately rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts. 'How to cure a feminist,' read the title, with the words, 'Turn an unshaven, militant, protesting vegan into an actual girl!' written underneath. The article was then split into four different steps which included: 'Win her over,' 'Open her eyes,' 'Treat her right,' and 'Shift her focus.' Over the first step there was a photo of a woman wearing low-rise baggy jeans and a tank top with messy hair, a cigarette in her mouth, and no shoes; she held up her arms and showed off her hairy underarms. 'A feminist is just like any other woman: she won't give you the time of day if you don't know how to approach her,' the advice began. The article then went on to encourage men to 'pretend to share her beliefs.' 'Hide your lack of feminist knowledge and show her how much you value her opinion by asking intelligent questions,' the magazine joked, giving examples like, 'What must women do to earn equal pay for this equal work?' and, 'Has Gloria Steinem's marriage hurt the feminist agenda?' The second step, as per the magazine, was to 'open her eyes.' The accompanying picture showed a woman in bootleg jeans, sneakers, and a slightly cropped pink fitted hoodie and her hair looking sleek and straightened. 'Don't wait for her to think differently - give her some options,' the publication wrote. 'Begin by discussing "lipstick" feminism, which is far more moderate than the combat-boot variety.' Jennifer Baumgardner, who co-authored Manifesta: Young Women, Feminism, and The Future, was quoted encouraging men to not avoid talking about things like 'shopping, makeup, or boyfriends.' The article then advised men to 'sign her up for Bust, a feminine-light mag that says women can be independent, strong, and relatively hairless.' Third step, was to 'treat her right,' and it assured men you can 'treat a feminist just like you'd treat any other girl.' 'As long as you're not overbearing she won't object to your opening the occasional door or picking up a check,' the article read. Along with this piece of advice was a snap of a naval-bearing woman in a short shirred white skirt and a tiny matching top. She also had white high heels and her hair was in pigtails. The fourth step encouraged men to 'shift her focus,' with a large 'cured' stamp over the picture of a scantily-clad woman. 'To preserve any chance of getting your chin buttered, you'll have to re-shizzle her feminist-tinged interests so you can actually spend time with her,' Maxim wrote. They then quoted Michelle Weiner-Davis, the author of The Sex Starved Marriage, who said to 'focus on the things you have in common.' To paint the picture of a cured feminist, the women in the picture was posing in only a red and black lingerie with black heels on and heavy eye makeup. While it's not entirely certain if the piece was sartorial or not, fuming users took to Reddit to slam Maxim over it, branding it as 'ridiculously sexist.' 'Awfully bold of them to disguise their bimbofication porn as relationship advice,' one user snarked. 'This just sums up the nonsense that was the early 2000s. The media was always taking hot wrong takes when it came to women, like all the time,' chimed in another. 'We were living in the wild wild west, I can't believe some of the stuff that was allowed to air or printed. 'There needs to be some sort of gender course that's specific to the early 2000s.' 'Gay "jokes," feminism "jokes" [were] aplenty in the early '00's. Movies like American Pie that released around the period exemplify this and man does it not hold up at all today,' agreed another. 'Strange how some still argue that these things are fixed and that we shouldn't speak up against them.' The men's magazine, which is known for featuring scantily clad celebrities, also came under fire last week after a list that it published of the 'unsexiest' female celebrities resurfaced. The list contained five female stars and a brief description for each one explaining the reasoning behind their placement on the list. Sarah Jessica Parker, Amy Winehouse, Sandra Oh, Madonna, and Britney Spears were amongst those who made the cut.

Fans react to photos of Kimberly Guilfoyle when she was young
Political fans have been left totally shocked after astonishing pictures of Kimberly Guilfoyle when she was younger have resurfaced on Reddit . Guilfoyle, 56, is the ex of President Donald Trump 's son, Donald Trump Jr . She was also married to California Governor Gavin Newsom from 2001 to 2006. Since she's been in the political spotlight, she's made a splash thanks to her glamorous looks . In fact, it was even rumored that Don Jr. complained about his former fiancée's style before he was spotted with his new love interest, Bettina Anderson, 38. 'Don Jr. has been telling people for months that Kim is so uptight and always dresses so professionally in these kinds of dresses and high heels, and never looks relaxed or casual,' an insider told People last December. 'The tight dresses need to go and she has been told that.' But now, it isn't her fashion choices that are making waves - it's how much her looks have changed over the years. Someone posted a slew of old photos of her to Reddit this week, and they quickly went viral, leaving many stunned over how different she used to look. The other two photos posted from her past showed the Former First Lady of San Francisco out on the town. In one picture, she wore an all-pink look with shimmering pink makeup, and in the other, she sported a spaghetti-strapped black dress and short haircut. The post also included current photos of Kimberly, in which she was seen wearing her signature smokey eye makeup, dark eyebrows, and plumped lips. 'Oh wow, if you hadn't said they're the same person I would never have believed it,' one Reddit user wrote in the comment section. Another agreed, 'She gave herself Republican face. What a tragedy.' 'She was stunning when she was younger. Unfortunately she lost her marbles and destroyed herself to fit that orange freak's preference,' someone else typed. A different Redditor shared, 'She was definitely a looker when she was younger.' 'Pic two is so pretty,' another wrote. These resurfaced photos come just a few months after she stunned fans after posing for the cover of Metropolitan Palm Beach magazine. Kimberly looked super glam as as she posed in a bright red blazer and white blouse with a pussy bow. The glamorous shoot divided the 56-year-old's followers, with many praising her, while others accused her of using filters to transform her appearance.

Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter Brooke breaks down in tears amid heartbreak over his sudden death
Hulk Hogan 's estranged daughter Brooke got visibly emotional while out with her family in Orlando on Tuesday night following the recent and sudden loss of her dad. Just weeks after her father died of a heart attack at age 71, the TV personality, 37, looked caught up in grief as tears rolled down her face during a walk with her husband Steven Oleksy and their seven-month-old twins, Oliver and Molly. Oleksy, a retired ice hockey player, sweetly comforted his wife by wrapping his arm around her waist as he pushed their little ones' stroller down the sidewalk. Brooke, who went 'no contact' with both her parents prior to the WWE legend's passing, took a deep breath and placed her hand on his shoulder for support. An insider told TMZ that Brooke 'got emotional seeing the sunset' as it 'reminded her of her father.' 'She was telling her husband how much Hulk would have loved it,' the source claimed. Her latest sighting comes just days after Brooke opened up about her fallout from Hulk and that he never met her children. In an interview with TMZ, Brooke said she was uncomfortable with some of the people in Hulk's entourage, but pointed out that did not include his wife Sky Daily, 46. 'The estrangement is a boundary,' she explained, 'So I didn't like certain people he was around. It wasn't Sky, it was a number of people that I did not trust, that I had seen behavior in, and I said, "Dad, flashing yellow signs." Like, "Hey, this is messed up. Are you going to do anything about it?"' She explained that the six-time WWF champion was 'never alone. He was always with someone.' Brooke added that during one of their last conversations 'he gave the sentiment of like, "Well, I guess you have to live your life and I have to live mine."' 'That was kind of how it was left,' she said. Brooke also described a harsh interaction with her father, which was witnessed by a contractor working on a house for them. 'The contractor texted me — and said, "Are you OK, kid? That hurt me watching what I saw." My dad had become a little bit callous in his old age, and that's OK,' she explained. Oleksy, a retired ice hockey player, sweetly comforted his wife by wrapping his arm around her waist as he pushed their little ones' stroller down the sidewalk. Brooke reiterated several times that she had no issue with Hulk's widow, Sky, but did reveal the Thunder in Paradise star had some reservations about marrying again. 'If I broke up with her, it'd be bad,' he reportedly told Brooke, but when she asked why, he only answered 'I don't wanna get into it.' She said they had respectful disagreements via text regarding whether he should break up with Sky at one point telling her 'Well, I haven't approved of who you've dated.' Brooke revealed she thought his behavior was 'childish' and would make her cry. 'There were hurtful things that he kind of said,' she explained. To honor her father's memory, Brooke and her husband, former NHL star Steven Oleksy, 39, took their babies to the beach. Gene was the late wrestler's middle name. 'Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,' she shared in an emotional post on social media. Brooke and Olesky married in a private ceremony in Orlando in June 2022. Her father was not in attendance. Earlier this month, Brooke's husband told People he remained in contact with Hulk and says he reached out 'about a month and a half' after their twins were born in January. 'I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest,' he claimed. Reports back in April claimed that Oleksy had made several failed attempts to 'foster peace' with the wrestling legend. Oleksy continued: 'She [Brooke] was there for every surgery leading up to the last two years. She would fly down on her own dime, take care of her dad, and it just made a lot of sense. 'No one understood his body, procedures, medications and everything else more than my wife,' he said. Hulk welcomed Brooke as well as son Nick, 35, with ex-wife Linda - whom he was married to from 1983 to 2009. He later tied the knot with Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 until their divorce in 2021. Two years later, the WWE legend said 'I do' to Sky and the pair were married up until his death. Brooke and her father last spoke nearly two years ago in September 2023 only weeks before he married Sky. On that call, Brooke expressed love and concern for her father - telling him that he shouldn't be working so hard due to his declining health. Despite her pleas for him to enjoy more of his life, those requests fell on deaf ears. The pair didn't speak again.
