Aggressive fox reported in White Pines Country Club area, Surry County sheriff says
According to a press release, on Sunday, the SCSO received multiple reports of a 'fox exhibiting aggressive behavior' in the area of the White Pines Country Club.
The SCSO reports multiple human exposures related to the animal.
Animal Control is actively investigating and attempting to locate the fox, but at this time, it has not been captured or confirmed.
The SCSO is also reminding the public to ensure all pets are up to date on their vaccinations in accordance with the North Carolina General Statute 130A-185.
Residents are encouraged to exercise caution and report any sightings of wildlife acting aggressively or displaying unusual behavior to animal control.

Deputies arrest man in connection with fatal shooting in South Sacramento
( — The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office arrested 51-year-old Okouava Saelee for allegedly shooting a man multiple times, leading to his death at the hospital. On Tuesday afternoon, SCSO responded to a shooting at around 4:30 p.m. at the 5900 block of 39th Street in South Sacramento. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times. At around 6:20 p.m. that same day, the sheriff's office said the victim had died. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators also responded to the scene on Tuesday and determined Saelee was the suspect after evidence showed he had argued with the victim, with whom he was acquainted, SCSO said on Wednesday. Saelee was then transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he remains in custody and is ineligible for bail. Spokane County Sheriff's Sergeant hit and killed on I-90
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said 59-year-old Sergeant Kenneth Salas was struck and killed in the line of duty on I-90 Saturday morning. At around 7:40 a.m., Sergeant Salas stopped to assist with a hay bale that was in the left lane of eastbound I-90 near the Four Lakes exit, according to a Washington State Patrol (WSP) report. Sergeant Salas stopped his patrol car in the left lane with emergency lights on and started to clear the hay from the road. The WSP says an incoming motorcyclist failed to observe the emergency lights and struck and killed Sergeant Salas. The motorcyclist was injured in the crash and was brought to a local hospital. 'Sergeant Salas proudly served the Citizens of Spokane County for over three decades. He was not only a member of the Sheriff's Office, he was also a valued and cherished member of our law enforcement family,' the Spokane County Sheriff's Office wrote. Salas also served in the Air Force for over two decades, as well as in the Washington State Air National Guard, SCSO said. He is survived by his wife and extended family, the sheriff's office wrote.
