Man vomits before his girlfriend sleeps with another man in bizarre experiment
A Channel 4 reality show has left viewers stunned - and some reaching to turn off the TV - after a contestant vomited while participating in a bizarre sex experiment that saw his girlfriend sleeping with other men.
In the latest explosive episode of Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, Tom and his girlfriend Lauren signed up to explore non-monogamy in an attempt to reignite their relationship - but the reality proved too much for Tom to stomach, quite literally.
The controversial show, which airs on Channel 4, invites committed couples to a luxurious countryside retreat to test the boundaries of their relationships by experimenting with open sex - all under the watchful eyes of cameras and sex therapists.

Touted by the show as a bold dive into 'one of society's greatest taboos' - monogamy - Open House has become one of the broadcaster's most talked-about series, following in the footsteps of the equally provocative Virgin Island, which was slammed by some viewers as 'creepy' and 'uncomfortable'.
In one episode, Tom and Lauren were advised by non-monogamy coach Effy Blue to try spending time independently to see how it would impact their bond. But things quickly turned from awkward to distressing.
Despite Lauren's pep talk - 'Don't be nervous. You absolutely got this' - Tom looked pale and anxious as she reassured him about the day ahead. Moments later, he was seen rushing off camera to vomit in the bathroom.
'This is going to be horrible,' he admitted. 'I feel absolutely petrified and sick.'
Lauren, hugging him from behind, gently urged: 'All that anyone can ask is that you just try, okay?'
Lauren had been the one to suggest they experiment with other people from the outset. Speaking to the camera, she said: 'Yes, it's throwing me and Tom in the deep end... but for him to have the confidence that we can go off, have our fun, and come back to each other at the end of the night - it's insane.'
But viewers weren't convinced - many taking to social media to question both the format and the wellbeing of those taking part.
'I'm no prude, but this is unnecessarily graphic and getting away with it by being 'educational',' posted one user on X. 'Grow up, Channel 4. Full of exhibitionists.'
Another wrote: 'Tom needs help and support - he shouldn't be anywhere near this show. #OpenHouse.'
'Honestly feel bad for Tom,' added one viewer. 'He needs counselling, not cameras in his face.'
A fourth branded the episode 'so awkward to watch,' while others said Channel 4 was simply pushing boundaries for shock value.
Tom had opened up about bedroom issues in the episode, explaining he struggled 'to get it up' due to performance anxiety. But later on, his worries passed as both he and Lauren had sex with different people in separate rooms at the same time.

A source told the outlet that production has "started," adding: "It's really exciting for film fans living in Glasgow as they will see their city in the next movie." They said that it's "uncanny" how much the city now looks like the Big Apple. The source went on to say: "Originally the plan was to film a lot of it in Liverpool but after the crash, they changed the plans." They added: "There were discussions about whether it was appropriate to stage big stunts, including car chases and explosions, in light of the awful incident." According to the Herald, filming on Spider-Man: Brand New Day is due to begin in the city tomorrow. It reports that a number of roads in Glasgow are due to be closed off to accommodate the production between August 1 and 16. Tom previously confirmed that Glasgow would be used for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He also shared her excitement over getting to film on location again, after having worked exclusively on soundstages for the last Spider-Man film. In an interview for news outlet Flip Your Wig, shared on Instagram earlier this month, Tom said: "We were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of COVID." He said that the "entire" film had been shot on stages. He said: "Now, we're really gonna lean into that old school filmmaking and shoot in real locations - which is why we're starting in Glasgow. We're gonna use the streets of Glasgow for this massive set piece that we're putting together." Tom is set to lead the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside his fiancée Zendaya, who plays Michelle Jones-Watson, known as MJ, in the franchise. Jacob Batalon is also expected to reprise his role as Ned Leeds in the film.

Claims that Queen Victoria had a secret child are pure clickbait
Rarely has the humble question mark done so much heavy lifting in a programme title. Because for all its proclamations of 'overwhelming evidence' that Queen Victoria had made an honest man of faithful ghillie John Brown, the jury remained very much out on Channel 4's Queen Victoria: Secret Marriage, Secret Child?. The evidence that Queen Victoria had indeed married her loyal servant-cum-companion and had a child with him? She didn't go out much for a couple of years after Prince Albert's premature demise and could have hidden a lot under her signature voluminous skirts. And – besides a note describing a dodgy deathbed confession from a Scottish vicar who claimed he officiated the ceremony – that was about it. Taking the gossipy scribblings of a Swiss tabloid, musing that Victoria was hiding a pregnancy secret, as some kind of starting point, historian Fern Riddell embarked on a flight of fancy that had her staring at a picture of John Brown and cooing on about how sexy he was. 'Looking at this you can see why Victoria was so incredibly drawn to him,' sighed the academic who was clearly in the grip of a fangirl crush. Putting two and two together and coming up with something like 69, Riddell interpreted the letters and postcards between the monarch and her servant with all the gushing lust of a feverish romance novelist. Landing on any turn of phrase or declaration of devotion that supported her theory – well, she has got a book to flog – Riddell strove to present pure conjecture as indisputable fact. I wasn't buying it. Which could not be said for sometime judge and media legal everyman Robert Rinder, who had been presumably enlisted to cast an objective eye on proceedings. But he too got swept up in Riddell's elaborate fantasy. 'It blows history up,' was just one of the many bizarre overstatements that littered a story spun from the flimsiest of threads. It all felt rather prurient. The hook for it all, which could have been delved into further, was Riddell's discovery of a John Brown family archive. How she got her hands on this mysterious archive remained obscure, but it had led her to tattooed Angela from Minnesota who believed she was descended from history's most celebrated ghillie. The likeness was not striking. This is where we really could have done with the forensic approach of Who Do You Think You Are?, tracking the lineage of 'Mary Ann', the supposed child of Victoria and Brown, down through the generations. Mary Ann had, we were told, been passed off as the offspring of John Brown's brother and his wife and whisked to New Zealand for safe-keeping. But the evidence supporting this theory amounted to little more than hearsay. Tracking down the missing links in the chain to Angela would have given the story some much-needed ballast. Riddell has, I understand, earned a degree of credibility as a social historian, but here she played the part of a starry-eyed fantasist, reading so much between the lines into the correspondence between Queen Victoria and John Brown that credulity flew out of the Balmoral window long before the closing credits. This isn't history, it's clickbait.
