Her body was found in a lake in Oakmere, Cheshire, after two days of searches, police said.
A police spokesperson said today: 'A body found in a lake in Oakmere has been formally identified as that of Rachel Booth.

A file has been prepared for the coroner and an inquest will follow at a later date.
At the time of her disappearance, police dogs helped in the search for her earlier this week.
Drivers claimed they saw Rachel 'between 12.30 am and 1.15 am' walking in Minshull towards Crewe, adding: 'It seemed quite a random part of the road to be thumbing a lift. I wondered about a broken down car too, but didn't spot one anywhere.'
Rachel's mum, Chrissie, said she believed the two sightings were real, and wrote on Facebook that her daughter had been wearing a yellow coat.

Boy, 15, who stabbed fellow pupil at school 'thought victim had a knife too'
A 15-year-old boy has told a jury he was 'out of control in [himself]' when he stabbed a fellow pupil to death during their lunch break. The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, said he felt regret and 'sorry' for Harvey Willgoose's family after killing him in the courtyard at All Saints Catholic High School in the city on February 3. Giving evidence for a fourth day, the teenager said he had not wanted any trouble with Harvey that day and did not want to fight him. After watching CCTV of the fatal blow, the boy said Harvey looked 'angry, as if he was going to do something' when they squared up. He told his barrister Gul Hawaz Hussain KC that Harvey had one hand out and 'one hand a bit in his trousers' which made him think the schoolboy had a knife. The boy, who had taken a knife with him to school that day, described feeling 10/10 on a scale of being scared when Harvey put a hand on his shoulder while bringing up a previous falling out between them. He said he offered to shake hands with his victim, adding: 'If I said sorry and he shook my hand, I don't think anything would have happened.' The defendant said Harvey angrily replied: 'No, f*** off.' Mr Hussain asked: 'When Harvey grabbed your shoulder, did he say anything?' The boy said Harvey told him: 'I will do you in and do you in proper this time.' He told the court: 'I thought I would have got stabbed by Harvey.' The boy said he then pulled out his knife, telling the jury: 'I was out of control in myself.' The defendant, who admits manslaughter but denies murder, said he could not remember stabbing Harvey. Asked how he felt when he realised he had stabbed the other boy, the defendant said: 'It made me feel upset, scared and shocked.' More Trending He described feeling 'bad and regret' knowing Harvey had died because of what he did and said of the schoolboy's family: 'I feel sorry.' Richard Thyne KC, prosecuting, asked the boy what he had meant to do when he stabbed Harvey. The defendant said: 'I was not thinking, I was not in control of myself, so I didn't really think of anything.' The trial continues today. DJ dies ‘after being beaten by cops' at Ibiza party when police were ‘called ove
A popular Italian DJ who performed around the world died after allegedly being beaten by cops at a house party. Michele Noschese, known as DJ Godzi, was just 35 when he was 'assaulted' by cops at his home during a late-night party in Ibiza. The Italian DJ had been living in Ibiza for the last 10 years and was well-known on the island, performing frequently at music events in London, Paris, Barcelona, and New York. He died Saturday morning, and Spanish authorities are investigating his death, which was announced by numerous friends and online electronic music pages. Michele was reportedly holding a party at his home when neighbours called the Civil Guard over the loud noise. The DJ clashed with several officers and was allegedly beaten, according to several witnesses, before his body was taken to the morgue. The authorities are waiting for the post-mortem results to establish his exact cause of death. Michele's family has reportedly requested an independent forensic medical report, and Italian politicians are demanding answers. Fulvio Martusciello, MEP for the Forza Italia political party, said: 'We want to know the truth about Michele Noschese's death. 'We want to understand what happened and what the Civil Guard's responsibility is. The sudden death of a young, successful and well-liked Neapolitan, an internationally renowned DJ, cannot remain in the shadows.' Techno-house music label Moon Child shared photos of Michele and wrote: 'We are truly saddened by this news. Michele had a kind heart and was part of the Mood family after releasing his track 'Love This Game' on Mood Edits.' Michele previously said his passion for music began when he was just 15, and he went to live in London before later moving to Ibiza. 'I tell any young DJ to work hard from morning to night in front of the PC to compose electronic music,' he said. His death came on the heels of other recent deaths in Ibiza. Awful mistake sees Air India victims' families receive wrong remains
British families of victims from deadly Air India flight 171 say they have received wrongly identified bodies due to a bungled repatriation scheme. A lawyer representing the bereaved said that some families were forced to abandon funeral plans after discovering the coffins contained different, unidentified remains. In some instances, multiple victims' remains were reportedly placed into a single coffin, requiring separation before burial or cremation. The misidentification came to light when Dr Fiona Wilcox, a senior coroner, attempted to verify identities using DNA matching with family samples. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is expected to discuss these errors with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi during the latter's state visit to the UK.
