The 'MobLand' star also revealed what drew him to starring in this action-packed western in the first place.
'I grew up watching them as a boy,' Brosnan told the outlet. Of his character, he added, 'He's a decent man, trying to do the best he can. So many fellow Irishmen and women built the West on their shoulders. They wanted to create lives for themselves and there is romance to that.'

'To watch someone you love have his or her life eaten away bit by bit by this insidious disease, that part of your sorrow becomes an indelible part of your psyche,' he said, per Entertainment Tonight. 'I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife Cassie as ovarian cancer took her life much too soon. Just last year, I held the hand of my funny, wonderful daughter Charlotte before she, too, died from this wretched inherited disease.'
'[Life] can be snatched away without any prior warning, so why waste it?' he reiterated to The Herald in 2015. 'That's why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children and my grandchildren.'
After Cassandra's death, Brosnan went on to marry Smith, 61, in August 2001 in Ireland.

'[I feel] lucky to be doing this with my brother and having that support,' Dylan told People at the time, noting how the ceremony came 'with an amount of pressure so it's great to be there together.'
In 2021, during a live chat on People's Instagram, Brosnan and Dylan reminisced on his childhood and visiting his dad on movie sets.

'Do you remember coming down to the James Bond set [for] 'Die Another Day?'' the star asked Dylan, to which he replied, 'That was really cool.'
'I was really young, but I loved the cars … and you had the cars, you had the hovercrafts, and I was really obsessed with the hovercrafts.'
But it was evident Dylan was more interested in the cars than his dad's work.

'I had to dive and weave my way through this minefield, and I always remember standing there thinking, 'There's my boy. There's Dylan,' ' reflected Brosnan. 'I could see you across the lot in this massive moment that was about to happen. … And I got to the end of it and I said, 'How was it?' And you said, 'Are the cars okay, Daddy?'

UK's first KFC marks 60th birthday celebrations
Celebrations have taken place to mark 60 years since the first KFC fast food restaurant opened in a UK high street. The famous fried chicken chain marked its diamond anniversary with a pop-up event in Preston's Flag Market featuring memorabilia, a history film and a range of local food producers. Roz Eccles, current assistant manager of the restaurant in the city's Fishergate, said: "It was opened in 1965 by Colonel Sanders himself. It's amazing to know it started here in Preston when you've got all those other big cities out there." She added: "It has come through a lot of changes over the years the way KFC has expanded." Rob Swain, general manager for KFC UK & Ireland, said: "Preston is where British fried chicken history began." The chain now wanted to thank the people of Preston for "playing such an important role in our growth story this side of the pond", he said. The celebrations also featured an immersive exhibition and pop-up cinema where six decades of the brand's history were remembered. It showed original KFC menus and uniforms, a range of the chain's nostalgic advertising campaigns and other memorabilia tracing the restaurant's journey from its roots in Kentucky to its first restaurant in Preston. Colonel Harland Sanders was an entrepreneur who began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky, during the Great Depression. UK businessmen Harry Latham and Raymond Allen then worked under the supervision of their friend the colonel to bring the franchise to the UK. Allen was said to have possessed a handwritten copy of the restaurant's secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices, which it has declined to make public to this day. Patrick Schwarzenegger Recalls White Lotus Audition Process
It's been said many times before that pretty much everyone in Hollywood is vying for a part in The White Lotus. So, if you're a famous person looking to land a role for Season 4, there are a few things you should know. Firstly, all the actors in the cast receive exactly the same pay and are billed alphabetically. So, if you're looking for a big paycheck, The White Lotus is not the place for you. Secondly, no matter how famous or experienced you might be, everyone on the show must audition — and the competition is seriously tough. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter ahead of the Season 3 finale earlier this year, Carrie Coon, who played Laurie, talked about how 'highly coveted' a White Lotus casting is among actors. 'There's a lot of pressure,' she said. 'Everyone auditions for The White Lotus.' And if that didn't sound scary enough, her co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger has now revealed what the 'unique' White Lotus audition process actually entails. For context, Patrick starred alongside Carrie as Saxon Ratliff: the douchey finance bro whose turbulent character arc saw him complete the season as one of the most beloved characters. This week, during a sit-down conversation with his dad, Arnold Schwarzenegger, for the latest season of Variety's Actors on Actors, Patrick recalled how he landed the part, following accusations that he was only cast because of his famous family connections. 'The first audition I did — it's very unique. They give you one sentence about the character,' he said. 'That was it. And then there were no scripts. There was no other background information.' Now, I bet you're wondering what Saxon's sentence sounded like. Well, according to Patrick, it was: 'He works for his father in finance, and he's an absolute flirt,' which tracks. I don't know about you, but preparing for an audition with nothing but a brief sentence sounds totally terrifying. Although, Patrick suggested that there's a method to the madness. 'I think they do it that way so you can put your own interpretation on the self-tape or on the role,' he said. Luckily, Patrick nailed his self-tape audition on the first try and received a callback 'within 24 hours' asking him to read for the show's writer, director, and showrunner, Mike White. 'About a week later is when I actually booked it and got the role,' he recalled. Notably, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, The White Lotus casting director Meredith Tucker recalled being impressed by Patrick's first audition, calling it a 'very, very strong self-tape.' 'I remember him being very present and dropping into the character very realistically — the confidence,' she said. 'It seemed like he understood the kind of guy he was playing.' Well, good for you, Patrick, because I certainly couldn't have pulled that off.
