Syrian HTS Troops Mass Murder Civilians At Hospital In South

Gulf Insider17-07-2025
There is gruesome evidence emerging of mass atrocities in the southern Syrian province of Suwayda, where government soldiers under the Sharaa/Jolani regime have been conducing sectarian attacks on Druze and Christians, while seeking to get the etho-religions Druze community to lay down their weapons.
New disturbing images emerging Wednesday show dozens of dead civilians strewn about the floor at the National Hospital of Suwayda. The images seem authentic and verified, as Syria expert Joshua Landis of the University of Oklahoma has described that a regime soldier in the aftermath filmed the results of the massacre while proclaiming 'God is Great' and that there has been 'victory' over the Druze there.

Russia's RT News has also picked up on the footage, captioning the 'HORRIFIC images reportedly out of Suweida hospital in South Syria shows staff MASSACRED' for 'Suspected of being Druze' — as the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) describes.
Exact number of dead and wounded are unknown at this early point, but the hospital was under siege by the government forces of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). London-based SOHR writes:
SOHR sources denied a statement issued by the Information and Communication Department of the Ministry of Defence, which accused 'outlaw groups of taking the national hospital in Al-Suwaidaa as a starting point to launch their operations against the army and internal security forces.
SOHR warns of the continued siege of Al-Suwaidaa National hospital and targeting or storming it under flimsy pretexts.
Reliable SOHR sources confirmed that there are medical staff and patients only inside the national hospital in Al-Suwaidaa, without the presence of any armed manifestations.
The third floor of the hospital was also bombed by the Ministry of Defence forces, which besieged the hospital from all sides, putting it out of service. The hospital suffers from a blockade that prevents medical supplies from reaching it, further aggravating the situation.
It appears everyone in the hospital has been massacred. Sick and wounded patients were reportedly murdered in cold blood in their hospital beads.

HTS has just taken off the US-designated terrorism list earlier this month, after Trump had posed with its leader Sharaa (Jolani, who had earlier been a member of ISIS) while visiting Riyadh, expressing hope that he'll make for a good post-Assad ruler.
These US-backed jihadist thugs have also been attacking more churches in Syria's south…

Recall that Trump had gone so far as to praise al-Sharaa as a 'young, attractive guy' who has a 'real shot at doing a good job'. There was no mention at the time of protecting some of the world's most ancient churches and Syria's sizeable Christian community.
The fruit of that 'good job' thus far has been a genocidal campaign launched against Alawites near Latakia, Druze in the south – as is happening currently, as well as attacks on churches, including last month's suicide bombing of St. Elias Orthodox Church in Damascus, which left at least 25 people – including children – dead. A group affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham actually took responsibility.

40% Of All Violent Crime Suspects In German Schools Are Foreigners, Over 2 Knife Attacks Per Day

New data shows that 40 percent of all suspects identified in school violence in 2024 were not German citizens, with Syrians at the top of the charts. In total, there were 4,254 foreign suspects and 7,309 suspects with German citizenship, the German government announced in response to a parliamentary inquiry from Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP Martin Hess. Of the 11,558 suspects in total, 1,236 had Syrian passports, representing one in ten violent incidents, according to the data, which was provided to Welt newspaper. In second place were Afghans, who represented 3.6 percent of all suspects. 🇩🇪🚨German classroom nightmareTeachers mocked, lessons disrupted, and even physical assaults."I am no longer in control of the situation. Even with those with dual citizenship, they are only counted as Germans. Neighboring Denmark records the data of Danish citizens with a foreign background, giving the country a better idea of integration efforts and trends in foreign crime. In total, there were 35,570 violent crimes in Germany's school system last year. That amounts to 97 violent crimes per day. Of those crimes, 740 were knife attacks. That is over two knife attacks per day. Hess told the German news outlet that there needs to be a 'rethink' on the issue. The state must 'once again be a sanctuary for citizens, not an educational project of left-wing utopians.'

US Envoy Blasted For Claiming Syrian Government Forces Not Involved In Sectarian Executions

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based rights group that tracks violence in Syria, has released a statement criticizing US Ambassador Tom Barrack for claiming Syrian government forces were not involved in the mass executions of civilians in Suwayda, southern Syria. Seven days of clashes between Druze militias and Bedouin who were backed by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) government forces left 1,399 people dead, including 196 civilians executed by gunmen affiliated with the Syrian defense and interior ministries, according to the SOHR. Barrack, who serves as the ambassador to Turkey and as a special envoy to Syria, claimed Syrian government troops didn't enter Suwayda during the violence. 'The Syrian troops haven't gone into the city. These atrocities that are happening are not happening by the Syrian regime troops. They're not even in the city because they agreed with Israel that they would not go in,' he told Reuters . Barrack also claimed that the fighters who entered the city may have been ISIS members disguised as government troops, though HTS and ISIS share a similar ideology. In response, the SOHR said that it 'strongly rejects and condemns' Barrack's comments. 'SOHR considers these statements to lack even the minimum standards of objectivity and neutrality. They not only represent a serious deviation from the envoy's expected role as a mediator working toward peace and stability among Syrians, but also open the door for further massacres to be committed against other Syrian communities, similar to what has happened to the Druze and Alawites in Suwayda and other regions,' the SOHR said. 'SOHR affirms that it possesses documented evidence, including video footage and credible field testimonies, confirming that the horrific violations, including the execution of civilians, the throwing of young men from upper floors and the killing of a Syrian-American citizen on sectarian grounds, took place on the day Syrian Ministry of Defense personnel entered Suwayda city,' the group added. The SOHR said that Barrack should not act as a 'defense attorney' for 'an interim authority that has failed to protect Syrians and whose media and key figures have contributed to fueling sectarian and regional conflict.' The SOHR has detailed many of the executions in Suwayda, including one where Hosam Saraya, a 35-year-old Syrian American, was shot to death along with seven of his relatives, a massacre that was filmed and posted online. The SOHR also detailed the killing of Pastor Khaled Maher Mazhar, a Christian convert from the Druze religion who was massacred along with 11 members of his family, including six women. The group said the family was killed by members of the Syrian Defense Ministry. 'The perpetrators opened fire directly on everyone inside the house, even extending the killing to include the family's dog, an act that reflects the extreme brutality of the massacre,' the SOHR said. First they killed the Alawites, now they kill the Druze. The entire population of Syria will be killed by ISIS. A HTS (ISIS) fighter telling he will kill all the Druze, he has the patch of ISIS on his shoulder. In the background you can hear the shooting going on…West is quilty — sonja van den ende (@SonjaEnde) April 30, 2025 Barrack and other US officials have embraced the new Syrian government and its leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, despite his al-Qaeda past. HTS formed in 2017 as an offshoot of the al-Nusra Front, which was al-Qaeda's official affiliate in Syria until Sharaa rebranded to gain international support. HTS took power in Damascus following a lightning offensive that ended with the ouster of former President Bashar al-Assad. The US had foreknowledge of the offensive and helped a US-backed militia take part in the assault from its base at al-Tanf in southern Syria.

Indian police arrest man running ‘fake embassy'

AFP | New Delhi, India Police in India have arrested a man accused of running a fake embassy from a rented house near New Delhi and duping job seekers out of money with promises of overseas employment. Harsh Vardhan Jain, 47, was operating an 'illegal West Arctic embassy by renting a house' in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, which neighbours the capital, local police said. Jain, according to police, claimed to be the ambassador of fictional nations 'like West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia, Lodonia'. He allegedly used vehicles with fake diplomatic plates and shared doctored photos of himself with Indian leaders to bolster his claims. 'His main activities involved acting as a broker to secure work in foreign countries for companies and private individuals, as well as operating a hawala (money transfer) racket through shell companies,' the police said in a statement following his arrest earlier this week. He is also accused of money laundering. During a raid on Jain's property, police said they recovered $53,500 in cash in addition to doctored passports and forged documents bearing stamps of India's foreign ministry. AFP was unable to reach Jain or his representatives for comment. Westarctica, cited by the police as one of the countries Jain claimed to be representing, is a US-registered nonprofit 'dedicated to studying and preserving this vast, magnificent, desolate region' of Western Antarctica. In a statement, it said it had appointed Jain as its 'Honorary Consul to India' after he had made a 'generous donation'. 'He was never granted the position or authority of ambassador,' it added.
