F1: The Movie's Callie Cooke did real British Grand Prix pit stop
Pitt, 61, plays fictional veteran driver Sonny Hayes, a former star returning to the grid after a long absence.The film opened at the end of last month and has been an international box office hit.
As well as filming during the grand prix races, Silverstone was also used for driving training and much of the first half of the film.Cooke, 31, said Pitt "loved working in Northamptonshire and Silverstone".She told BBC Radio Northampton's Bernie Keith: "It was our home for at least a year. We were pretty much living there. "[Pitt] loved it and he loved the crew and he has such a British sense of humour."
The actress, who has previously starred in Doctor Who and Netflix drama The Stranger, said her final audition was at Carlin Motorsport in Farnham, Surrey.She said: "I spent the day there and I was changing the tyres and I was changing the oil, changing the wing of the car, and just seeing if I could exist in the world of a garage."I think it did kind of help growing up in Northampton and not far from Silverstone because I do know a lot of people that work with cars, and I just got stuck in that garage."I knew that if I was going to play a woman in this male-dominated industry, I was just going to have to hold my own and get stuck in, and I think maybe that's how I got the job."
Cooke then trained to be part of the team and said she was "the only actor in the pit crew and all of the other guys were mechanics or engineers or worked in motor sports or stunt guys". She said at the British Grand Prix in 2024: "We did a real pit stop in between Mercedes and Ferrari, and we did it as quick as the other teams."It was just mad. I don't know how they ever let us get away with it, to be honest."Cooke said working in and around real F1 teams and at real grand prix races was a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" for the cast and crew."It was one of the best experiences of my life."

‘Role model' father who fell to his death at Oasis gig in Wembley named and pictured
A man who fell to his death during Oasis's Saturday night gig at Wembley has been named as Lee Claydon. The father from Bournemouth fell from the upper tier balcony of the London stadium during a sell-out concert by the Gallagher brothers. Describing him as a 'loving family man' who loved fishing and outdoor activities and a 'role model' to his son, Lee's brother Aaron Claydon said: 'We will miss him so very much.' Aaron paid tribute to his brother on a GoFundMe page set up to support Lee's partner, Amanda, and their family. In the post, he said Lee was 'the man I have always looked up to' who 'would have done anything for any of us'. 'Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss,' Aaron wrote. 'Lee leaves behind his son, dad, partner, brothers, sisters, nephews and niece. 'Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry and was loved so much by all his family. Lee would have done anything for any of us and he was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him so very much. 'Lee loved all outdoor activities, one of his favourite hobbies was fishing. He also loved music and his guitar. He also really enjoyed going to watch and support the boys and his nephew at their football games. 'Amanda and the boys have our full support at this very sad time, which is why we would love to be able to help them financially as well as emotionally. 'Please help us raise as much funds as we can to take one worry off Amanda and family right now as they are going through any family's worst nightmare.' Aaron also took to Facebook to pay tribute to his brother, writing: 'Still in shock and cannot believe I am writing this, but sadly over the weekend I lost by best mate the man I looked up to and the man I was lucky enough to call my brother Lee Claydon. 'This is gonna be a tough long journey and I have set up this GoFundMe page to help and support his loved ones. Please read and share. 'Until we meet again Rkid.' Lee's cousins, Shannon Gabrielle and Richard Norris, also paid tribute to Lee on the social media platform and shared the fundraiser. 'Absolutely shocked and gutted to hear about our cousin Lee Claydon,' Mr Norris wrote, describing the incident as 'heartbreaking beyond words'. 'Please consider supporting the fundraiser to help his loved ones during yet another incredibly difficult time,' he said. Shannon Gabrielle wrote Lee had died 'after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert this weekend'. She added his death had 'devastated the whole family' and said any donations would help support his 'closest knit' relatives. 'You just don't fathom you will go out for a night of amazing fun and not come home at the end of it,' she wrote. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.' The Gallagher brothers also said they had been left 'shocked and saddened' by the news of the death following their show. On Sunday, a spokesperson for Wembley said: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. 'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.'

Kardashian hid her first melanoma diagnosis from her family following her dad Robert Kardashian's death. Attorney and businessman Robert - who was also father to Kourtney Kardashian, 46, and Kim Kardashian, 44, and Rob Kardashian, 38, whom he had with ex-wife Kris Jenner, 69 - died in September 2003, aged 59, two months after he was diagnosed with cancer in his esophagus, when Khloé was aged 19. Shortly after Robert's sudden death, Khloé found out she had melanoma - the most dangerous type of skin cancer, which is primarily caused by ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or sunbeds - but she kept it a secret because she 'didn't want to worry anyone' amidst her family's grief. Speaking on the latest episode of her Khloé in Wonderland podcast, the media personality recalled: 'My first bout of skin cancer, I was 19 years old. When you're 19, you don't really think about how scary things can be, so I don't remember a lot. 'I know my dad died when I was 19 of esophageal cancer, and then months later, I found out I had skin cancer on my back. 'I literally didn't even tell my family because I knew I just had to get this removed, and I'll be fine. 'I knew I was fine. Cancer is a really scary word. I was also 19, and you're nuts at 19 years old. 'I literally drove myself to the doctor, got all this skin removed, and that was it. [I] didn't think much about it.' In October 2022, Khloé noticed she had a 'bump' on her face, and she initially thought it was 'cystic acne'. The Kardashians star recounted: 'I was convinced it was that cystic pimple. It would not go away. I was trying to pick it, all these things. 'I think I messed around with it for over a year. I got facials. I would ask this person, that person, no one thought it was weird, it was my same skin color. 'I do have a lot of beauty marks all over me, but they're brown. So I was like, 'Gosh, maybe this is a skin color mole.' I didn't know what it was.' Khloé got a biopsy to check it out before it turned out to be melanoma again. She added: 'So we cut it out, and within days they found out it was melanoma. I sent it to my other dermatologist, they analyzed it, because it's on my face … where my cheek line is, they have to remove the tumor that's there. You also have to take enough skin, like healthy skin, around it to make sure the cells didn't spread.' And Khloé got a 'family friend' - who is a plastic surgeon - to treat it. She said: 'He removed the tumor, and the scary part is you don't know how much they need to remove until they start cutting into you. They think they're getting all the borders, but then they have to test it. 'We did it. Everything was perfect. He got all they needed the first time. So now I don't have skin cancer.'
