WEDNESDAY Season 2 Trailer: a Campus Stalker, Spiraling Psychic Powers, and More Woe

Yahoo09-07-2025
Our favorite little stormcloud who is full of woe returns again soon. Wednesday season two is a little less than a month away, and we cannot wait to see what other secrets Nevermore Academy holds. We know that her brother Pugsley will join in on the fun in some way. But what we didn't quite anticipate was Wednesday being a full-fledged celebrity, which is what happens in the series' newest trailer.
In the clip, the Addams family returns to Nevermore only for Wednesday to discover that things are different. She's like a local celebrity after basically saving the day at the end of season one, with other students forming a fan club around her. Yes, we're talking fan art and all of that, which makes Wednesday very uncomfortable.

But that's the least of her worries. She has black tears coming from her eyes during her visions, one of which includes Enid's death that's apparently her fault. There's something else brewing at this special school and we will have to wait and see what's going on. If the trailer is any indication, we are in for another mysterious and spooky ride with Wednesday.
Wednesday season two will premiere Part 1 on August 6.

See Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jenna Ortega at 'Wednesday' season 2 premiere, plus what to know about the new season

Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones and the cast of " Wednesday" hit the purple carpet at the show's season 2 world premiere in London this week. The Emmy Award-winning Netflix series from Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Tim Burton previously earned a Costume Designers Guild Award for its wardrobe in 2022, so it was no surprise the stars were also dressed to impress. Ortega, who stars as the namesake Wednesday Addams in the dark fantasy series, arrived on the purple carpet in gothic glamour, wearing a translucent cream latex gown with snake skin detailing. The star, styled by Enrique Melendez -- who posted various angles of the look on his Instagram story, including a photo of himself holding up Ortega's train while she signed autographs for fans -- wore her hair loosely pulled back in a long, low ponytail, completing the look with dark lipstick and bleached eyebrows. Zeta-Jones, who plays Ortega's onscreen mother, channeled a classic Morticia Addams look in a dramatic black Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture gown with a keyhole halter silhouette, cascading ruffles and a thigh-high slit. What is 'Wednesday' season 2 about? The official trailer for the upcoming season shows Wednesday Addams returning to Nevermore Academy, where she has a psychic vision and learns her best friend and roommate, Enid -- played by Emma Myers -- will die. Worse, Wednesday sees that she will somehow be responsible for the death. "Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family," Wednesday says in the trailer. "The sooner I can get the answers, the sooner I can save Enid -- or die trying." It also seems that Wednesday's turn saving Nevermore from a Hyde in season 1 has made her extremely popular. When she first arrives back at school, a fellow student asks for her autograph. "I only sign my name in blood," Wednesday says in response. Watch the full trailer and read more about what's ahead on the upcoming season here. When does 'Wednesday' season 2 premiere? Part 1 of "Wednesday" season 2 debuts -- fittingly -- on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Part 2 will arrive Wednesday, Sept. 3. How to watch 'Wednesday' season 2 The series is available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Who is in 'Wednesday' season 2? In addition to Ortega and Zeta-Jones, season 2 also stars Steve Buscemi, Luis Guzmán, Hunter Doohan and Billie Piper.

Wednesday Season Two Isn't Dropping All At Once - Here's The Release Schedule

A 'limited series', a full dump, a two-episode starter then weekly... or even three days a week for a fortnight — there's many ways our favourite prestige television shows are served to us these days. So before you leap into Wednesday season two, you might want to know what to expect (from the release schedule at least). Well, like the titular character herself, things aren't as you'd expect for a show on Netflix, which traditionally dumps a whole series in one, at the forefront of the 'binge-watching' movement when it comes to TV watching. Netflix has opted to split Wednesday season two into two halves, across August and September. Part one, spanning episodes one to four, will air on Wednesday August 6. After what we presume will be some kind of terrible cliffhanger, we'll have to wait until Wednesday September 3 for the second load of four more episodes. It marks a departure for the show - and perhaps a sign of how its popularity has elevated it to star status: the first series, which aired in November 2022, was dropped all at once. The series will find Wednesday returning to school, Nevermore (though with no Xavier, played by Percy Hynes White), and, of course, wrapped up in another supernatural mystery. 'Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore,' co-creators, showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar tell Tudum. 'But as soon as she returns, nothing happens the way she's expecting. She thinks she's going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, but she doesn't. Nothing is what it seems in Season two.' This season a series of new characters and actors will join the show too - including British stars Joanna Lumley and Billie Piper. We cannot wait. Episode 1, "Here We Woe Again," was penned by co-creators and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. "Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. But as soon as she returns, nothing happens the way she's expecting," they told Tudum. "She thinks she's going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, but she doesn't. Nothing is what it seems in Season 2." A woeful glimpse at the episodes to come... Wednesday Season 2 Part I premieres August 6. Netflix (@netflix) July 31, 2025 Tim Burton directs Episodes 1 and 4, the latter of which is titled "If These Woes Could Talk."
