Alcatel releases another teaser for an upcoming smartphone
Honor India's Madhav Sheth is also in charge of the revival of the Alcatel brand, as we described yesterday. The brand will launch a bunch of new smartphones in the near future, one of which Sheth already teased - the V3 Ultra 5G.
Now he's back with another teaser, this one much more mysterious. Clearly, it's a new smartphone, one that is imagined and built in India, and "made to move across borders, pockets and lives", Sheth says.
We can't really tell if this is also the V3 Ultra 5G or another device - perhaps a 'vanilla' non-Ultra V3? Either way, it will have the NxtQuantum OS skin on top of Android, and that's how we know it's an Alcatel. Alcatel phones will be sold by NxtCell, an Indian company that has purchased the naming rights. They will be made by Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies.
The Flipkart teaser above promises that it will be a stylish device. That's all we know about it so far, but at the rate the teasers are being released, we expect to find out a lot more in the coming days, so stay tuned.

Infinix has announced that it will roll out an OTA update starting June 2025 for the Note 50x, which will bring 90FPS gaming support for BGMI. Pixel Superfans invite hints Pixel 10 phones could launch earlier than their predecessors
Google unveiled the Pixel 9 series smartphones (except the Pixel 9a) last year in August, and if you expected the Pixel 10 lineup to follow the same launch timeframe, that might not be the case since the Pixel Superfans invite hints at an early launch of the Pixel 10 series. Google Pixel 9a The folks at Android Authority shared an invite sent by Google to the Pixel Superfans for a 1.5-hour Pixel Penthouse event in London on June 27, where "they will get hands on with pre-release Pixel devices and features." Google's Pixel Penthouse event invite for Pixel Superfans The invite doesn't divulge anything about these pre-release Pixel devices, but if we had to guess, these would be the Pixel 10 smartphones. Google says the Pixel Penthouse is "this year's exclusive pre-launch event," hinting at an earlier-than-expected launch of the Pixel 10 series, possibly by the end of July. Invitation from Google hints at earlier than expected Pixel 10 release
Google used to release the latest Pixel models each October but this became a problem. With Apple launching its newest iPhone handsets each September, those looking for a new phone and blessed with having money in their pockets wouldn't feel like waiting for the new Pixel. They would see that there was a new iPhone available and would buy it. So Google decided to release last year's Pixel 9 series in August leapfrogging the release of the iPhone 16 series. Now, Google appears to be looking to move up the release of the Pixel 10 to late June or early July. Some Pixel Superfans have received an invitation to Pixel Penthouse. Google says that this is 2025's exclusive pre-launch event and that it will be attended by 25 "lucky" Superfans who will be allowed to get handsy with pre-release Pixel devices while also checking out new features. They will also receive what Google calls "Pixel-themed goodies." 25 lucky Pixel Superfans will get to go hands-on with new Pixel handsets and features late next month. | Image credit-Android Authority The event is taking place in London on June 27th and it will run for 90 minutes. The Superfans will also have the opportunity to sit in on a Q&A session with real-life Googlers. To add some credence to the idea that Google will unveil and release the Pixel 10 earlier this year, Android 16 is expected to be released in early June which makes it quite likely that we will see the Pixel 10 hit the market in late June, or early July. The Pixel 10 series will be powered by the Tensor G5 which will be the first Tensor application processor (AP) made by TSMC instead of Samsung Foundry. It was also designed from scratch by Google getting rid of the Exynos base that all previous Tensor APs used. This should allow Google to design some exclusive features into the Tensor G5 which will be built by TSMC on its second-generation 3nm node (N3E).
