Shah Rukh Khan surprises fans with a cameo in Ed Sheeran's Sapphire; singer reveals how it happened in BTS video
Shah Rukh Khan
has made a surprise appearance in Ed Sheeran's latest music video Sapphire, and fans can't stop talking about it. The video, which also features Arijit Singh on vocals, showcases not just a global musical collaboration but a memorable Bollywood cameo that took everyone by surprise.
In a new behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared on YouTube, Ed Sheeran opens up about how the legendary actor ended up being part of the track.
In the video, Ed takes fans through his journey across India, mentioning how he travelled to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai to shoot various portions of Sapphire. But it was his meeting with
Shah Rukh
Khan in Mumbai that became the highlight.
'There is no need to give context of who Shah Rukh Khan is,' Ed said. 'I would say he is probably like the first or second most famous person in the world.' He went on to reveal how the superstar invited him over to his home to play paddle. 'So we played paddle for like 3 hours and then he pitched me an idea and was like, 'Do it whenever,' and I was like, 'To be honest, I am here so like do you want to get dinner tomorrow?''
Their dinner plans turned into something far more iconic.
Ed, who had already been singing the tune in Hindi by then, ended up recording parts of the song in a studio—his first time singing in Hindi. The music video was shot under the direction of Siddharth Anand, who also directed Shah Rukh in Pathaan.
Ed shared how Siddharth coordinated the shoot with SRK: 'He informed me that Shah Rukh wants to meet me at his house and was waiting there. I went there with my dad and Nic, we had dinner, and then we shot his cameo.'

Bills fans worry Hailee Steinfeld is a distraction as Josh Allen's Super Bowl chances are already crumbling
Amidst Josh Allen's marriage celebrations with Hailee Steinfeld, concerns arise within the Buffalo Bills' camp regarding their Super Bowl aspirations (Image via Beau society) While Josh Allen may be basking in newlywed joy after marrying actress Hailee Steinfeld , the mood in Buffalo's front office is less romantic and more strategic. As the Bills prepare for the 2025-26 season, concerns are mounting over whether Allen can lead the team deep into the playoffs — or if their roster gaps will cut the celebration short. Josh Allen's Super Bowl dreams under threat as Bills' wide receiver woes spark concern Despite an impressive 2024 season that included an MVP-worthy campaign and a 30.9 points-per-game average, experts warn the Bills are missing key elements that could derail another title run. Most notably, the absence of a dominant No. 1 wide receiver may prove costly following Stefon Diggs' departure. CBS Sports analyst Cody Benjamin didn't mince words: 'The absence of a bona fide No. 1 wide receiver plagues Allen, as he tries to carry Buffalo's offense.' Allen is undeniably elite, but expecting him to replicate last season's heroics without a true WR1 could be too much — even for him. Buffalo's efforts to patch the receiving hole include drafting Keon Coleman and signing Elijah Moore and Joshua Palmer. However, none have consistently delivered WR1 production in the NFL. The void Diggs leaves behind is not just statistical — it's emotional and strategic. Curtis Samuel could be a key figure, but expectations may be unrealistic Curtis Samuel, entering the second year of a three-year deal, is a name to watch. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Vietnam: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo After finishing last season strong with touchdowns in both the Wild Card and AFC Championship games, he's poised to make an impact — if he stays healthy. 'I feel good, you know, confident, feel fast and excited for this journey,' Samuel said. 'It's just all about being healthy, just getting in the rhythm.' He also noted his comfort in Joe Brady's offensive system, which he learned during their time with the Panthers. But as Benjamin points out, Samuel has 'never functioned as a true WR1,' and relying on him to become one could be setting the offense up for disappointment. Buffalo has also reshuffled its secondary, bringing in fresh faces through free agency and the draft. Yet, continuity and chemistry remain question marks on that side of the ball. Donna Kelce stands her ground after old facebook post resurfaces On June 15, 2025, sports site The Spun shared a screenshot of a Facebook post Donna Kelce had written back in August 2023. In the post, Donna defended the Paris 2024 Olympic opening ceremony, which had faced criticism from some conservative viewers. 'The scene was a portrayal of a Greek Dionysus Feast celebration,' she wrote. She explained that Dionysus, also called Bacchus, is the Greek god of wine, fun, and celebration. Many people online called the event 'too wild' and 'inappropriate.' But Donna Kelce didn't back down. In the same post, she told critics, 'The French are known for their theatrics. The historical context and education surrounding the Olympics and its origins are important here. Many of you fell for the controversy in spun-up click-bait. Stop mindlessly sharing posts and do some research.' Her strong message drew both praise and backlash, but she never deleted it or said sorry. Fans accuse Travis Kelce of distracting Taylor Swift from finishing ‘Reputation' re-recording
Taylor Swift is reportedly delaying the re-recording of her 2017 album, Reputation (Getty IMages) Taylor Swift is taking a surprising detour from her well-planned journey of reclaiming her musical catalog. While fans were eagerly awaiting the re-recorded version of her 2017 hit album Reputation, sources close to the singer say she's put the project on hold—thanks in part to a new chapter in her personal life. Travis Kelce connection makes it harder for Taylor Swift to tap into past emotions Taylor Swift, who has been re-recording her early albums to regain ownership of her masters after a high-profile fallout with former manager Scooter Braun , has completed most of the work. But Reputation, a uniquely moody and emotionally charged record, is proving difficult to revisit. Why? The emotional headspace that birthed the original album no longer resonates with her current reality. According to a source quoted by Marca, 'She just can't access that headspace now.' Swift's life has changed dramatically since Reputation first dropped—especially her relationship status. She's now dating NFL superstar Travis Kelce, and their public love story appears to have softened some of the emotional edges that once defined Reputation. While high-energy tracks like Ready for It and I Did Something Bad have already been re-recorded, the ballads that speak of heartbreak and vulnerability—like Delicate and New Year's Day—pose more of an emotional challenge. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo These tracks are closely tied to her previous long-term relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, which ended in 2023. Out of respect for her current partner, Swift is reportedly reluctant to revisit those moments. Taylor Swift opens up about what being in a public relationship really means Taylor recently commented on her relationship with Kelce in a refreshingly honest way: 'When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don't care.' That mutual support system could be part of why she's shifting her creative energy elsewhere—for now. Swifties might have to wait until 2027 for the Reputation vault to open. Though her work re-recording her albums is nearly complete, insiders hint fans may have to wait until 2027 to hear the new version of Reputation. That year marks the original album's 10th anniversary—potentially the perfect time for a deluxe release filled with unreleased songs from the era.
