Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, emphasised that all citizenship applications are subject to strict scrutiny with no exceptions tolerated.
Sheikh Fahad stressed that every citizenship file is being meticulously examined by the Supreme Committee for Investigating Kuwaiti Citizenship to preserve the nation's identity and combat fraud.
'This work will continue until the situation is fully rectified,' he said. When asked if dossiers of former ministers, members of parliament, or other prominent figures are included in the investigation, the Interior Minister was unequivocal: 'All of Kuwait is under scrutiny.'
He underscored the government's zero-tolerance stance toward any tampering with national identity or obtaining citizenship through fraudulent means.
Highlighting international cooperation, Sheikh Fahad revealed plans to launch a new electronic version of Kuwaiti citizenship to enhance security measures.
Addressing women affected by citizenship revocations under Article 8 of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law, he confirmed that the August deadline to amend their status will not be extended.
He urged those impacted to visit designated offices if their embassies have not yet contacted them, assuring that the government will ensure they receive benefits except for citizenship, provided they maintain contact with their countries of origin. 'This is part of the state's effort to guarantee them a decent life despite the revocation,' he said.

The main suspect admitted the charges, saying he personally processed the transactions using login credentials from the Public Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Interior, without the knowledge or participation of the companies under whose names the permits were issued. The Ministry of Interior said all those involved have been referred to the competent authorities for legal action. It pledged to continue joint inspections with the Public Authority for Manpower to detect and dismantle visa trafficking operations, warning that violations will be met with full enforcement of the law.

24 new eServices added to MyGov mobile app in second phase
Twenty-four new government services have been added to the MyGov mobile app, which is available through the eGovernment Apps Store, This was annnounced by His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive. The services cover a range of sectors, including the Interior, Civil Defense, Criminal Investigation, Traffic, Transportation and Telecommunications, and Electricity and Water. The ID card issuance service has also been enhanced with the introduction of an organ donation icon option, as well as expanded support features such as payment notifications and emergency alerts. In line with government directives and with the follow-up of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), iGA's Chief Executive said that the work is continues to expand the digital services available on MyGov app, aiming towards the apps strategy merger direction into three primary platforms: 'MyGov' for individuals, 'AlTajir' for businesses and investors, and 'Visit Bahrain' for visitors. Postal services The Government Directory & Bahrain post app will soon be discontinued after merging its postal services. Al Qaed also highlighted that Electricity & Water app services are integrated with MyGov app, while eTraffic app services currently in progress, which both apps will be discontinued, along with the Student Exam Results app, with services offered via alternative channels. He said that these changes reinforce MyGov app as the unified national platform facilitating convenient access to digital government services.
