This tiny sandwich bar serves yum wood-fired pizza-style sandwiches by Sydney Harbour

What began as a humble weekend pop-up is now a fully fledged eatery. Eat Ozzo in Pyrmont started with a simple idea: baking Neapolitan-style bread-based sandwiches that are anything but basic. Six months ago, owner Chandni Thakur swapped corporate spreadsheets for sandwiches – and the result is this Italian -inspired go-to you need to swing by. The bread is the real MVP. Their dough is fermented for at least 48 hours with just flour, water and salt as ingredients (no additives allowed), then wood-fired at 400°C until it's pillowy, chewy, blistered – and ready for action. Their signature wallet pizzas are folded – as the name suggests – like a wallet, and packed with punchy flavours. Try the mortadella mayhem with whipped ricotta and a slather of Gelato Messina (yes, really!) pistachio butter; the Spanish roast beef with potatoes and salsa verde; or the cowboy chicken loaded with spicy chook, slaw and honey mustard. Vegetarians can grab the Greek cauli with cauliflower that's roasted in their wood-fire oven to get that charry goodness, and vegans will be pleased with the satay tofu number for a protein-fuelled (and tasty) meal. But Eat Ozzo is more than just sandwiches. They serve up Five Senses coffee, nourishing grain bowls and takeaway treats that are worth slowing down for – especially with those water views. Speaking of which, Eat Ozzo is in a prime location. It's tucked under The Star, next to the Sydney Lyric Theatre and a short stroll from Darling Harbour – which makes it the perfect pit stop for a pre-show dinner, a quick office lunch break, or a leisurely Saturday meal with mates. And yes, it's dog-friendly. Got a party or event coming up? Eat Ozzo also does catering. More here. Address: Harbourside, The Star L G, 80 Pyrmont St, Pyrmont NSW 2009 These are the best sandwiches in Sydney right now.

She captioned the snap: "Another beautiful day in the ☀️with my family." This Morning star Lisa Snowdon replied: "Stunning honey" as Towie's Georgia Kousoulou penned: "Body goals". Other fans chipped in about her ex's relationship news. One sniped: "Well that didn't last long did, how embarrassing on both of them. Anyways you are glowing & winning at life being a wonderful present mother & looking so happy & healthy you go girl." Another said: "Darling, you are on fire…The way you've handled yourself and risen above everything has been amazing to see. A warrior mother…Keep slaying, it all works out in the end." Ex Newcastle United star Andy, 36, started dating mum-of-one Lou last year following his split from Billi with whom he has three children. Lou, 41, and footballer Andy, who also has two kids from a previous relationship, split eight weeks after he was quizzed by cops following two boozy holiday arguments with tee-total Lou. The father of five has now wiped all trace of former One Direction hair stylist Lou from his social media accounts. A friend added: 'Andy and Lou have been having massive rows for a while. Andy Carroll quizzed by cops twice after bust-ups with girlfriend at packed restaurant and hotel during Greek holiday 'It's been a tough time and now he's back in the UK, he just wants to focus on football and his kids. 'He hates the influencer lifestyle. He has no interest in posing for loved-up pics.' The source continued: 'Andy got sick of Lou's demands and her influencer lifestyle. 'She's always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He's single now.' Until this week, friends thought wedding bells were not far off after Lou gushed about their future. After rows on holiday earlier this year, they celebrated their one-year anniversary at Glastonbury's luxury £38,000 pop-up hotel. It was thought Andy was ready to make a fresh start after selling the stunning Essex pad he shared with Billi for a whopping fee in November. The former West Ham ace had put his Essex pile on the market with an £8.5million price tag Andy, now with French side Bordeaux, bought the six-bed house in Essex from singer Sir Rod Stewart five years ago for £4.1million. 6 Andy and Billi in 2016 Credit: Instagram 6 Andy has three children with ex Billi and two kids from a previous relationship Credit: Instagram

Lou Teasdale says she dumped Andy Carroll despite claims he ended things

Influencer Lou Teasdale has denied reports that former England striker Andy Carroll broke up with her, claiming instead that she was the one to end the relationship. The split comes just over a year after the pair began dating and a few weeks after reports that they were questioned twice by police in Greece following heated rows during a Mykonos getaway. Carroll, 36, has now unfollowed Teasdale, 41, on social media and removed all photos of her from his Instagram. This comes after previous rumours that Carroll was set to propose to Teasdale. According to a source quoted in The Sun, the ex-Liverpool and Newcastle forward had grown frustrated with Teasdale's 'influencer lifestyle' and constant social media posting. 'He told her it was over this week. He's single now,' the insider said. But it seems like things might not be that simple. A conflicting source told the Daily Mail: 'It was Lou who ended her relationship with Andy, she walked away a few days ago, it was very much her choice to end their romance. 'She isn't interested in pointing the finger or blaming him and hoped to deal with their split in private, before he blocked her on Instagram and deleted their photos together. 'Lou is very upset by how everything has played out and the arguments between them were especially difficult for her to go through. 'However, Andy wants Lou back and flew to Ibiza via private jet on Tuesday just to find her, even though he has no idea where she's staying. 'He will think it's a romantic gesture but for Lou, she's unimpressed and just wants to be away with her family, she's not interested in any of his attempts at a reconciliation. 'All she has done all year is love and support Andy, her feelings haven't gone away, but Lou has to protect herself now and ending the relationship is the only way to move forward.' The couple's relationship had appeared solid as recently as late July, when they were seen together at an Oasis concert. But their Greek holiday weeks earlier told a different story. Witnesses say the first argument erupted at the Nikolus Tavern, where Carroll allegedly appeared drunk and was overheard swearing at Teasdale. Police were called, but allowed him to leave after speaking privately. Later that night, officers were reportedly called again to their hotel amid claims of property damage, with staff alleging a door was broken. According to The Daily Mail, Carroll was taken to the police station for questioning, but he was not arrested, and no further action was taken. Teasdale left the hotel and stayed elsewhere for the night. Both Carroll and Teasdale downplayed the incidents at the time, describing the restaurant row as 'a private disagreement' blown out of proportion and insisting no one was arrested or charged. The incident was confirmed by a hotel employee, who claimed Carroll broke the door. A joint statement from the couple given to The Sun said: 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. 'We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us. 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' Carroll's return to the UK last month with National League side Dagenham & Redbridge marks the end of a two-year stint in France. Friends say he now wants to focus on football and his five children, three of whom he shares with ex-wife Billi Mucklow. Carroll confirmed his separation from Towie star Mucklow last September. After nearly 10 years together, Carroll and Mucklow tied the knot in 2022, but the former couple split last year after a turbulent marriage, which had already survived a near-scandal in 2022 when Carroll was photographed asleep next to two women during his stag party. More Trending On the day that the news of Carroll's separation from Teasdale broke, Mucklow took to social media to show she was all smiles in a brown bikini while on holiday with her family. A source told Metro in April that rumours of Carroll's possible engagement to Teasdale were not surprising to Mucklow: 'Billi isn't surprised that Andy is rushing down the aisle again. Her marriage to him didn't last very long and he moved on so quickly with Lou that nothing he does is surprising to her anymore. 'Her main focus will always be the children and moving on with her own life.' View More » Once Britain's most expensive footballer after his £35 million move to Liverpool in 2011, Carroll's personal life has often made more headlines than his career in recent years.
