Citizens Bank Park tops USA Today's list of the best MLB stadiums, as voted by readers

of Major League Baseball's best stadiums.
After finishing third in the rankings last year, the
home of the Philadelphia Phillies
was nominated by experts and voted on by USA Today readers as the best place to catch a game for 2025.
According to USA Today, CBP's popular open-air concourse Ashburn Alley – which is packed with food and drink options and displays celebrating Phillies history – helped propel the stadium to the top of the list.
Citizens Bank Park opened in 2004 to replace Veterans Stadium, which the Phillies shared with the Eagles for three decades.

fans can find at Citizens Bank Park this season.
New this season are the Xfinity Home Run Takeover, a light show illuminates the ballpark after the Phillies hit a home run, exclusive fan gear at the New Era Phillies Team Store, early access to games at select gates, along with new menu items and locally made, Philly-favorite food and drink brands.
In the days and weeks leading up to the Phillies' Home opener on Monday, March 31, the team's grounds crew was hard at work prepping the field for its season debut. "I kind of get an itch, about mid-February to get back out and start doing some stuff," said
Caleb Robinson
, the Phillies' manager of field operations.
"It's always really exciting, I think about it all the time as a player, as a person who was in the front office, even as a bat boy... it's literally the best time of the year, other than maybe October, November," added former player and general manager Ruben Amaro Jr.
The Philadelphia Phillies will host the Colorado Rockies for their Citizens Bank Park home opener on Monday, March 31. First pitch is set for 3:05 p.m.
Citizens Bank Park, located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, has a seating capacity of 42,901.
Non-clear bags, backpacks and draw strings bags are not allowed inside Citizens Bank Park.
Only small purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags, and diaper bags will be permitted into the stadium, the team says.
Medically necessary bags, including diaper bags, are permitted.
Guests can store items inside lockers located on Citizens Bank Way for $10, and all bags are subject to inspection.

In the majority of his starts this season, Jesus Luzardo has been either very good or very bad. Facing the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday afternoon, the Phillies got the very good version. His six dominant innings, combined with an offense that constantly had runners on base and eventually got a lot of them home, led the Phillies to an 11-2 win, and a sweep of the Mariners. In the first inning, it wasn't clear that we were getting the good Luzardo. Julio Rodriguez got the Mariners on the board first with this blast. It's hard to blame Luzardo too much for that one. If a guy is able to hit that pitch out, you tip your cap. The rest of the inning was more predictive as Luzardo struck out the other three batters he faced. Striking out batters was the theme of his day as he racked up 12 of them in his six innings. The Mariners only managed two more hits against him, and one of those was erased by a pickoff. For a while, it looked like the Phillies' offense was going to waste Luzardo's outing. They were racking up lots of base hits but didn't sequence them especially well. Trea Turner led off the game with a triple and scored on a Kyle Schwarber sacrifice fly, which was great, but the Phillies went on to leave two runners on base in the frame. In the second, Bryson Stott had a splendid at bat, ending in an RBI double. But once again, the Phillies left two runners on and failed to record a big inning. Then despite getting two hits in the third, a double play prevented them from scoring any runs. Max Kepler made it 3-1 when he led off the fourth with a home run, but an additional two hits and a walk in the inning resulted in zero runs thanks to another double play. Frustrations were rising when the Phillies left two runners on base in both the fifth and sixth inning. It certainly felt like those missed opportunities were going to cost them, especially when David Robertson relieved Luzardo and gave up a home run to Eugenio Suarez. (And it was the right decision to remove Luzardo.) Those frustrations ended in the seventh. With two men on, Bryson Stott (3-5 on the day) singled one home. The floodgates opened. Trea Turner (5-6) hit an infield single to score another run. Schwarber's single combined with an error brought two more in, and Bryce Harper chipped in an RBI single to make it 9-2. Kyle Schwarber's two run home run in the eighth felt like it was just rubbing it in the face of a Mariners' pitching staff that spent the last three days being abused by the Phillies' hitters. With a large lead, it was a good time for Jose Alvarado to make his return. The lefty pitched a clean eighth inning in his first appearance after his 80-game suspension. That wraps up one of the best series the Phillies have played all season. They received three strong performances from their starting pitchers, and the offense largely had its way with what is normally a good Mariners pitching staff. Hopefully, the off day on Thursday doesn't halt their momentum, and they can run similarly roughshod over the Nationals this weekend.
