Teenage girl dies in crash with HGV near Bathgate
The 20-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen Polo and an 18-year-old female passenger were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
The 17-year-old female's next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
The circumstances surrounding the incident have been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.

Police have confirmed they have arrested a 20-year-old man who has now been released pending further enquiries. The circumstances surrounding the incident have been referred to the police watchdog. Tributes poured in for Ellie was described as a"beautiful soul". A GoFundMe was set up to help the family with funeral costs. It said: "Ellie was a beautiful soul who lit up every room with her humour and warmth. She was a wee gem at our quiz nights and always brough t joy to those around her.
