May 28—MIDLAND — Permian Basin Area Foundation has awarded $1,743,900 to 31 to nonprofit organizations serving West Texans during its spring community grant cycle.
Grants Officer Raymond Williams stated in a news release, "West Texas is fortunate to have a nonprofit community that serves so much of our population across such a vast area. We are humbled not just by their great work, but by the many donors that make this work possible for generations to come."
Grants were made to the following organizations:
— Basin Theatre Works
— Bynum School
— Casa de Amigos of Midland, Inc.
— CASA of West Texas
— Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute
— Community Children's Clinic
— Family Promise of Midland
— Fix West Texas
— Friendship House
— Greater Ideal Family Life Center
— Marathon Primary Care Service, Inc.
— Midland Athletic Syndicate, Inc.
— Midland Baptist Crisis Center
— Midland Habitat for Humanity
— Midland Historical Society
