The project was named "100 Years of Brilliance," marking a century since Tolkowsky's creation.
The polished stone was displayed at the Deva Diamond Museum in Antwerp, a testament to Tolkowsky's legacy and ongoing influence on the diamond industry. Gabi Tolkowsky, one of the world's most renowned diamond cutters, who polished the first facet of the stone, participated in the celebration. Gabi Tolkowsky passed away in May 2023, at the age of 84.

Trump Bans Harvard from Admitting International Students
Taarek Refaat The Trump administration has informed Harvard University that it will not be allowed to enroll international students, a major blow to the university after the government froze billions of dollars in federal funding and escalated its battle with elite universities to unprecedented levels. The United States has revoked Harvard's accreditation for its Student and Exchange Visitor Program, meaning the university can no longer enroll international students. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement Thursday that current international students must transfer from Harvard or lose their legal status. The DHS said in a statement released Thursday that Harvard's administration "contributed to an unsafe campus environment by allowing anti-American agitators and supporters of terrorism to harass and physically assault individuals, including a significant number of Jewish students, and disrupt the once-respected academic environment." The administration also accused Harvard's leadership of coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party. In April, Homeland Security Secretary Kirsty Noem demanded that Harvard University provide records of any illegal or violent activity by international students by April 30, or the university would immediately lose its accreditation under the federal student visa program. According to university data, Harvard has approximately 6,800 international students, representing 27% of the student body, compared to 19.6% in 2006. "This administration is holding Harvard accountable for promoting violence, anti-Semitism, and coordination with the Chinese Communist Party on its campuses," Noem said Thursday. FM Lauds Distinguished Relations between Egypt, Belgium
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty praised the distinguished relations between Egypt and Belgium, expressing his aspiration to continue strengthening them towards broader horizons, particularly in the economic, investment, educational and health sectors. This came during Abdelatty's meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot on the sidelines of the African-European Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels. Abdelatty expressed his hope that Belgian companies, especially those operating in the fields of clean energy and pharmaceuticals, would benefit from the investment guarantees provided by the European Union to Egypt within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two sides. He stressed the importance of including Egypt among the destinations of Belgian economic missions. He reviewed the economic reforms undertaken by the Egyptian state and the investment incentives available in the Egyptian market. He also expressed hope for launching trilateral cooperation to implement joint projects in Africa in the field of capacity building, in addition to cooperation in the area of migration through opening pathways for legal migration or seasonal labor, within the framework of integration between the labor markets of both countries. Abdelatty emphasized the importance Egypt places on the issue of recovering Egyptian antiquities that were taken out of the country illegally, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He highlighted the significance of antiquities as a vital part of Egypt's historical and cultural heritage and expressed hope for cooperation with the Belgian authorities to work towards their restitution. The meeting also touched on a number of regional and international issues, foremost among them the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Minister Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's efforts to provide all forms of support to the residents of Gaza and expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Belgian side to the Palestinians in the Strip. He stressed the importance of increasing aid to match the scale of needs, given the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. The two ministers also exchanged views on the latest developments in Syria, Sudan, Somalia, and the Red Sea region. Minister Abdelatty underscored the importance of European support in enabling Egypt to address regional challenges, taking into account the interconnection between the security and stability of the Middle East and that of Europe.
