Pakistani Host Nadia Khan Hails Diljit Dosanjh For Releasing Sardaar Ji 3 With Hania Aamir: 'Darte Nahi Hai...'
Last Updated:
Nadia Khan praised Diljit Dosanjh and the team of Sardaar Ji 3 for going ahead with the film's release featuring Hania Aamir despite strong backlash in India.
Amid rising backlash in India over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, Pakistani television presenter and actress Nadia Khan has publicly supported Diljit Dosanjh and the film's makers. Despite mounting protests and social media outrage following the Pahalgam terror attack in April, the team behind Sardaar Ji 3 has gone ahead with the film's international release on June 27, 2025 — a move that Nadia called 'excellent."
In a video circulating on social media, Nadia is seen discussing the controversy on one of her shows, praising the decision to release the film despite pressure. 'The film (Sardaar Ji 3) is being released on the 27th of this month with Hania Aamir of Pakistan. Do whatever you want to do. He is a Sikh brother, all the producers are Sikh, all the actors are Sikh. Darte kisi se nahi hai. Excellent," she declared.

Impressed with the strategy behind the quiet promotion, Nadia added, 'I am amazed by their strategy. They did it silently. They didn't say anything. And after that, everyone thought that Hania has been removed from the film officially. Diljit was silent. And now when the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 has come, Hania Aamir is present in it. She is everywhere. And Diljit, who is their biggest star in India right now, the entire country is behind him."
Acknowledging the strong reactions from Indian audiences, Nadia further remarked, 'People in India are behind Diljit, they are calling him a traitor and there is a very strong reaction. But Diljit is ready to face any consequences. The film will be released. And I really want it to be released in Pakistan."
However, the decision to continue with the film's release hasn't gone down well with a section of Indian audiences and film bodies. After Diljit shared the trailer on Instagram, social media users accused him of being 'insensitive" and 'shameless" for collaborating with a Pakistani actor at such a sensitive time.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has since demanded an immediate ban on Diljit's concerts and a suspension of all his social media accounts in India. The association also urged that no government or private institution should be allowed to work with him and called for an investigation into the funding of Sardaar Ji 3.
Joining the outrage, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) requested the government to 'blacklist" the makers of the film and even appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revoke their passports and Indian citizenship.
In response to the criticism, the film's production team issued a statement on June 24, clarifying the timeline of the shoot. 'This is to bring to everyone's kind notice that the film named Sardaar Ji 3 was shot well before the prevailing situation that our country is facing now and it was never ever the case that any Pakistani artist was signed or was engaged after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam."
Acknowledging the prevailing sentiment, the makers added, 'We stand united with our country and our fellow countrymen during this sensitive time. Considering the same, we had decided not to release the film or any of its promotional content in India until the situation becomes opportune."
As of now, Sardaar Ji 3 will have a theatrical release only in international markets starting June 27.
