Thomas Rhett and Tucker Wetmore Give a Nod to 'Small Town Girls' in New Song Ahead of Tour Kickoff
Thomas Rhett and Tucker Wetmore are giving a nod to "Small Town Girls" with a catchy new track.
The country superstars have teamed up for a new song ahead of the kickoff of Thomas Rhett's Better In Boots Tour on Thursday, June 5. The tour will feature Wetmore in select cities.
A visualizer for the summer-ready anthem has dropped, showcasing Thomas Rhett, 35, and Wetmore, 25, playing salesmen at the fictional "Small Town Furniture."
The track begins with Thomas Rhett getting a call from a man named Bobby telling him that a "new guy" is coming into the store.

"Bobby, may I remind you that I've been employee of the month five months in a row now," says Thomas Rhett as Wetmore enters the store and the song begins.
As he sips his coffee and admires his employee of the month certificate, Thomas Rhett begins showcasing appliances at the store.
Wetmore then shows off some of the store's furniture as his part of the song commences and the two come together to sing the song's chorus. As the track continues, each dances to the song's beat.
The hilarious lyric visualizer ends with Thomas Rhett lending his glasses to Wetmore, who earned his own employee of the month certificate, which he put on a shelf.
In addition to Wetmore, Thomas Rhett's tour will feature The Castellows and Dasha, who will rotate their appearances alongside the singer over the different tour dates. The tour concludes on Sept. 26 in Ridgefield, Wash.
"Small Town Girls" is also not the only track released by the country star after his August 2024 studio album, About a Woman. Thomas Rhett has also released the tracks 'I'm That Guy' and 'Dance With You" in his first batch of new songs off About a Woman (From a Small Town).
'When we were deciding what to include on About a Woman last year, I had about 30 songs we were picking between. We landed on the 14 that came out in August knowing we could keep releasing more of the others," Thomas Rhett said in a press statement.
"These three are feel good summer songs that the band and I have already started rehearsing for tour, and to sing 'Small Town Girls' with Tucker every night is going to be a blast. I'm looking forward to putting out more throughout the summer," his statement continued.
As for Wetmore, he told PEOPLE ahead of the release of his debut album What Not To on April 25, that he hopes his album will help "differentiate" him from his peers.

The 47-year-old actor appeared on the June 4 episode of the Well with Arielle Lorre podcast and opened up about the height of his drug and alcohol addiction. Following the success of American Pie early in his career, Biggs said that with fame, he 'learned very quickly' how rare it was for people to say no to him while he was living in Los Angeles, which escalated his substance abuse. 'Being 22 with money in the bank and coke in my pocket and no one saying no to me,' he said. Biggs told Lorre that when he met and married his wife Jenny Mollen, he was using drugs and drinking alcohol much more than she knew. He was 'blocking everything out with drugs and alcohol… and it just got worse and worse.' The Orange Is the New Black actor then recalled one of the lowest points of his addiction. 'I lived in the gray area, but I have 'snorting dust off the floor' stories or similar to that,' he began. 'One of my craziest stories was, I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was the last line.' In an attempt to stop himself and go back to bed, he threw the drugs into the trash can. 'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, I'm like, what am I doing? I go into my trash, and I take it out and I do a line,' he said. In another attempt to stop, Biggs said he went outside and put the rest of the cocaine into the trash can in front of their house. 'OK, I'm done,' he told himself before going back inside and grabbing an Ambien to help him sleep. 'Before I took the Ambien, I was like, 'One more,'' he said. 'I went outside and I climbed into the trash bin and got the bag of coke and went upstairs and did another line. I was like, 'What the f— am I doing? Biggs said that he constantly struggled with sobriety while living in Los Angeles. 'I would find myself alone and isolating and I would find myself breaking whatever sobriety I had. It was incredibly fragile, obviously, in those early days,' he said. Biggs explained that despite having met some great people in L.A., living there wasn't good for his health, and the environment made his drinking worse. He said moving to New York was life-changing and a 'healthier place' for him to get his life on track. 'There's something about the energy of New York that gives me something, that fills me in a way that Los Angeles couldn't. But I do believe coming to New York helped me. So, I did fall off the wagon here, but that was seven and a half years ago and it's been going well." Biggs has been sober since 2017 and shared his first anniversary of sobriety on Instagram in October 2018. 'I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle,' he wrote alongside a photo of a silver coin that read, 'To thine own self be true' and has the engraved words 'unity, service, recovery.' 'Turns out this s--- is hard,' he said at the time. 'After some fits and starts, I've managed to put together one year of sobriety. I'm as proud of it as anything in my life.' When it comes to Sweetin's two daughters — Beatrix, 14, and Zoie, 17 — she confirmed they were never interested in checking out their mom's acting roots, simply calling it "weird." Barber, who is mom to Felicity, 16, and Tate, 19, said her kids also "didn't really care," "They're just normal teenagers. They don't care what their parents do," Barber tells PEOPLE. "They were like, 'It's mom. You yell at us to go clean our room.' "[He told me], 'Everyone has seen Full House, but me, Mom, why?' And so I'm like, 'Here's an episode,' but that's about it." Whenever Sweetin's kids saw it, it was because, "It was probably on Nick at Nite or something. I'm sure my mom or dad, when the kids were little, was like, 'Oh, you want to watch mom on the show?' And even at two, they were probably like, 'No.'" When it came time for the cast to reunite for Fuller House, Barber said her kids "loved coming to the live tapings on Friday nights." It gave the costars' kids a chance to connect, with Barber noting how close in age Felicity and Zoie are. "Oh my god, they loved hanging out," Sweetin agrees. "They just wanted to hang out with Michael and Soni and Elias. They didn't come to see what we did." "They were hardly ever in the audience. They were down in the schoolroom. Remember the time we were doing the scene, and I literally heard Zoie yelling in the school room in the back? And I was like, 'That's my kid,' on a tape night," she laughs. During the live show, which also featured an appearance from costars John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, the group opened up about whether they had any regrets with the original series, during which they referenced the end of the series. "I wish we had gotten a proper goodbye," Barber shared. "We didn't know we weren't coming back. We did it out of order," Stamos recalled. "The episodes where Michelle gets amnesia, which was how we ended the show, that was last to air. But we shot those first, and then the last one we shot was the one with Andrew Keegan," Loughlin explained. Stamos agreed, adding, "We didn't know...
