Sinitta joins Chicago UK & Ireland tour: Tickets available now

Pop legend Sinitta is heading back to the stage as she joins the cast of Chicago as Mama Morton in the 2025 UK and Ireland tour – and yes, we're already humming 'Cell Block Tango' (Cicero!).
The 'So Macho' diva will bring her signature sass to the role across several dates, including Bournemouth, Canterbury, Norwich, Woking, Crawley and Glasgow.
Also stepping into the spotlight is Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara, who plays Roxie Hart at most venues. She's joined by Coronation Street fave Faye Brookes, returning for performances in Canterbury and Bristol. The role of silver-tongued lawyer Billy Flynn will be split between Olivier nominee Dan Burton, TV star Darren Day, and Strictly champ Kevin Clifton.
Sinitta's casting sees her share Mama duties with powerhouse vocalist and Loose Women regular Brenda Edwards, who reprises the role in cities including Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff and Salford.
The tour kicks off on 31 March at Bournemouth Pavilion and runs through to 30 August, with stops all over the country – including a London run at the New Wimbledon Theatre in June.
Featuring iconic songs like 'All That Jazz', 'Razzle Dazzle' and 'Mister Cellophane', the multi award-winning Chicago is a tale of murder, fame and courtroom drama set in the roaring twenties – a time when a gal could get away with anything if she had the right PR. Which, let's face it, Sinitta definitely does.

‘Pools' Review: Wading Through Grief

It doesn't take long for Kennedy's summer in 'Pools' to feel like a summer we've all experienced before. Not because it strikes at some universal truths or feelings, but because the wisps of so many familiar tropes seem to be holding her story together. Written and directed by Sam Hayes, this indie follows Kennedy (Odessa A'zion) as she flails through summer school at a Chicago university. Still wading through the grief of her father's death a year ago, she is in jeopardy of losing her scholarship and flunking out. To distract herself from getting her life together, she strings along a group of friends to get drunk, wander through a posh neighborhood and swim in its backyard pools. That's all a fine-enough structure for a coming-of-age movie, but rather than being its own entry into the genre, 'Pools' instead is a green director's hodgepodge emulation of ideas and tricks we've seen elsewhere. There's the constant abuse of Wes Anderson-like quick zooms; a copy cat attempt of Anderson's color grading; a paper-thin trauma plot; and lots and lots of montages of delinquent kids running and dancing. Frankensteined together, those pieces create scenes embodying the spirit of a quirky music video, with a story shoehorned in. Rather than considering where or if there's a heart to this specific film, Hayes seems more preoccupied with capturing the vague vibe of a certain kind of indie teen movie, one in which life gets real, but there's nothing like being young, wild and free. PoolsNot rated. Running time: 1 hour 39 minutes. In theaters.

Israel Adesanya once dismissed ‘Rat Lip' Khamzat, but now he's reversing course after UFC 319 blowout — ‘The division is in good hands'

Times have changed. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) boogeyman Khamzat Chimaev captured Middleweight gold at UFC 319 last night (Sat., Aug. 16, 2025) by completely dominating former 185-pound kingpin Dricus du Plessis, winning via unanimous decision inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Several fighters reacted to Chimaev's title-winning performance, including a surprising voice of praise: former champion Israel Adesanya, who once dismissed 'rat lip' as unimpressive. In a complete 180, Adesanya now believes the division he once ruled is in very good hands. 'Not what I expected, but I'm glad Khamzat fixed his cardio, or improved his cardio to the point where he can go five rounds and just rag doll people,' Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. 'That's a mess to deal with, because I thought DDP, maybe Round 4, he'd be able to stuff the takedowns because Khamzat would get tired, but he didn't slow down. 'He slowed down DDP. He slowed him down, which is very impressive because that's why he finished me in Round 4,' Adesanya added. 'I thought, OK, I got him now, but he just finds a way to get his third wind, his fourth wind. But Khamzat made sure he didn't get the first wind and just smothered him. Khamzat, new middleweight champion, and yeah, the division is in good hands.' Depending on how active Chimaev can be, the division may be in incredible hands. Already a big superstar, 'Borz' now looks nearly unbeatable. Chimaev built his reputation on relentless activity, and if he has his way, he'll be back inside the cage as soon as UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. On top of his skills — and possible quick turnaround — the Middleweight division is stocked with fresh contenders who make for fun stylistic matchups and compelling storylines. So, yeah — 'Borz' is not only great for the division, but it's safe to say the belt is in capable hands. For more UFC 319 results, coverage, and highlights click .
