Primark's 'timeless' £16 heels look 'just like' £530 designer shoes
Primark is currently selling a pair of shoes that are remarkably similar to a more expensive counterpart. The high street giant, renowned for its budget-friendly fashion and homeware, may have just launched a new latest crowd-pleaser.
The Pointed Slingback Heels from Primark bear a striking resemblance to a style by luxury brand Marina Rinaldi but at a fraction of the price. Shoppers can bag the Primark version for £16, while the designer alternative retails at £530 online.
Both pairs feature matching snake-print designs in neutral tones, slingback straps and pointed toes. They both also feature a low heel.
However, there are some differences between the two. The designer shoes feature a satin material, while Primark's are matte. The Primark shoes also feature a small bow on the front that is not present on the Marina Rinaldi shoes.
Primark describes the sandals as "a pair of slingback heel with pointed toes and bow detail." They are available in natural or white.
The full Primark product description reads: "Step into timeless elegance with these snakeskin slingback pumps, perfect for dressing up or down. Designed with a sleek pointed toe and dainty bow detail on the vamp, they bring just the right amount of charm.
"The slim slingback strap features a Metallic buckle for an adjustable fit, while the heel adds subtle lift . A crisp matte finish and light tan outsole trim complete the look. Pair them with wide-leg trousers for vintage flair or a summer dress for wedding-ready style."
The designer description states: "Sweetheart neckline for these satin sling back court shoes with elasticated straps. Ideal for completing both elegant dresses and trousers."
Primark's Pointed Slingback Heels retail for £16, while the Marina Rinaldi sling-back court shoes in animal-print leather come in at £530. This means shoppers could save £514 by opting for the cheaper alternative.
Shoppers can now get their hands on the Primark shoes, in natural or white, in stores. Shoppers can check stock levels at their closest store or opt for Click and Collect here.

Primark's £20 bag divides opinion over what is meant to go inside
Shoppers were confused at first - but it all made sense eventually Primark is offering a "sturdy and stylish" bag that's not meant for your phone, keys or purse to go inside. Instead, you should put your pets in for a hands-free adventure outside the house, or when walking could be dangerous for them. The Pet Carrier Bag costs £20 and is black and quilted. Primark confirmed on its website that the carrier also comes with an extra pouch that is the perfect size for pet treats and another handy compartment to keep any pet-friendly essentials safe. The description reads: " Allow your furry friends to travel in style with our chic pet carrier bag. The quilted finish keeps it sleek and the bag is designed for your friend to be able to sit in it, pop its head out and enjoy the views with you. "It has sturdy carry handles for comfortable carrying and a handy front zip pocket for treats. Plus, there's a cute little round pouch clipped on for extra storage and a removable base you can wash when needed." The £20 bag is described as being "perfect for keeping your pet comfy and secure" on outdoor adventures. It's also an ideal alternative to carry cases or crates. It was recently shown off in an Instagram video where Primark claimed the item was "fashion meets fur baby" - but shoppers were divided. One said: "Just ordered mine online for collection Friday, my lazy [girl] is going to love this!" Another added: "Just in time for my kitten!" A third wrote: "Fantastic, been looking for something like this for a while now!" But, others were not so convinced at first glance. Someone else said: "It's a shame these kinds of straps are not comfortable". And, a fourth added: "Is it strong enough though? [My dog] is only 5kg and some of these bags are poorly made and I end up carrying underneath anyway." The label on Primark's own video showed that the maximum weight went up to 10kg (22 lbs), making this ideal for those with smaller dogs and most cats. The website also mentions that this polyester bag measures about 50cm long and about 18cm wide, which is something pet owners may want to consider before buying. Shoppers can order a bag like this on the Primark website, with in-store collection possible at certain locations. The site does offer a handy feature for Primark fans to check which branches should have items available before heading out to the shops. Simply enter a postcode into the Stock Checker tool to find your nearest shop. Some offer a click-and-collect service, while others only offer in-store shopping.
