Taylor Swift Fans Notice Telling Detail on Instagram Account
Heading into Monday night's American Music Awards, there has been a lot of speculation that pop sensation Taylor Swift would make a major announcement during the event. A telling move over the weekend seems to be adding fuel to that speculation.
Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has made a habit of teasing major news and announcements by providing hints and Easter eggs for her fans which include hidden symbols, secret messages in her social media posts, hidden meaning on her website, or even symbolism in the way that she dresses.
Earlier this month, fans noticed what they felt was a pretty telling Easter egg from the pop sensation as she changed the first letter of all of the categories atop her official merch shop to spell out "AMAs" – Apparel, Music, Accessories, and Sale.
This, coupled with quite a few much more subtle possible hints, has led some fans to expect that an announcement could be coming during the AMAs on Monday night. And ahead of the event, Taylor seems to have made a pretty telling move.
Over the weekend, several Taylor Swift fan accounts noticed that the Taylor Swift official Instagram account seems to have scheduled a post to be published at some point in the future, indicating a possible impending announcement.
This was discovered because the count of the number of posts from the account increased by one, but no additional post was yet visible in the pop star's feed.
It's worth noting that this was not a consistent phenomenon for everyone and it seems to have since been corrected, but several accounts shared screenshots of the instance with one fan even showing a video recording of their screen to prove that it was not a photoshoot.
There's always a chance that it could be a simple glitch. But this, coupled with all of the other Easter eggs Swifties noticed leading up to the AMAs on Monday night, has certainly convinced a large number of fans that an announcement is indeed on the horizon.
We'll have to see whether or not the pop sensation makes the expected announcement on Monday night.
