Man Utd Champions League winner, 59, tells Andre Onana ‘you need to shut up at times' after wild Lyon scenes
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Teddy Sheringham advised goalkeeper Andre Onana to "shut up at times" after his wild Lyon celebrations.
Onana, 29, split opinion two weeks ago in the Europa League during a dramatic quarter-final second leg at Old Trafford that saw United going through after an intense 5-4 win on extra time.

The goalkeeper, whose two blunders led to a 2-2 draw in the first leg, was booed by the French fans across both meetings after saying Man Utd are better than the Ligue 1 giants.
That led to a fiery response from ex-United star Nemanja Matic, who currently plays for Lyon, as he labelled the Cameroon international "one of the worst goalkeepers in the club's history".
Onana endured a turbulent week after all that drama and was dropped from Ruben Amorim's squad for the following trip to Newcastle in order to cool off.
And the ex-Inter Milan star couldn't hold his emotion after Manuel Ugarte's early opener at Old Trafford as he celebrated in front of the travelling Lyon fans.
The former Ajax keeper ran over in front of the visiting end and performed a jumping, dancing jig, nodding his head in delight.
Sheringham watched Onana 's antics and even though he is "all for the passion" he is adamant the player needs to learn to "button his lip" sometimes.
The 1999 Treble winner, though, understands what provoked that reaction as players are often under tremendous pressure.
Sheringham told CasinoHawks: "With Andre Onana, I'm all for the passion but it's not about what's happened in the past and it's not about saying what you're going to do, it's all about results and performances on the pitch.
"You need to shut up at times and just button your lip and just hold your tongue if you can.
"But I fully understand the pressure these people are under."

Glenn Middleton hails 'some 3 years' at Dundee United as winger opts for English switch
Glenn Middleton has called time on his stint with Dundee United after 'some 3 years' at Tannadice. The winger, who was out of contract this summer, was made an offer to stay at United described by the club as '[reflecting] our desire to retain the winger's services'. However, after considering his options, the 25-year-old has decided to take the next step of his career in England, having signed for Doncaster Rovers. Rovers will compete in EFL League One next season after securing promotion by winning the League Two title last term. And Middleton, who ultimately made 115 appearances for the Tangerines, hailed his rollercoaster stint at Tannadice on social media. He said on X: 'From starting in Europe to finishing in Europe with a relegation and promotion in between, it's been some 3 years. 'Playing over 100 games for the club has been an honour. To all the staff and players I've worked with it's been a pleasure. Thank you Dundee United FC.' United, meanwhile, thanked the Doncaster-bound star for his efforts in tangerine, saying: 'Dundee United can confirm Glenn Middleton has left the club after opting to join EFL League One outfit Doncaster Rovers. 'A contract offer which reflected our desire to retain the winger's services was made to his representatives, however, after 115 appearances in tangerine, Glenn has decided to bring the curtain down on his United career. 'We'd like to place on record our sincere gratitude to Glenn for his contributions and professionalism during his three-year stint on Tayside, as we wish him the best of luck for his future endeavours.'

Bruno Fernandes reveals he rejected Saudi Arabia move to ‘stay at the highest level'
Manchester United's captain, Bruno Fernandes, has confirmed he has turned down a money-spinning move to Saudi Arabia because he wants to 'stay at the highest level'. The 30-year-old midfielder has been the subject of speculation linking him with a £100m switch to Al-Hilal, with the Saudi Pro League side reportedly prepared to pay him £700,000 per week. However, Fernandes confirmed he had rejected the chance to move after speaking to Ruben Amorim and his own family. 'The president of Al-Hilal called me a month ago to ask about the possibility of me moving there,' Fernandes said, according to the Portuguese news outlet O Jogo. 'I had to wait a while to think about the future. As I've always said, I would be willing to do it if United thought it was best to move on. 'I spoke with Ruben Amorim, who really tried to talk me out of it. I spoke to the club, who said they weren't willing to sell me, only if I wanted to leave. From my side, it was a very ambitious proposal, the president was a fantastic person. I never talked about the money, it ended up coming up later, with my agent. 'I had to make the decision as a family and understand what I wanted for my future. That was the question my wife asked, what my professional goals would be. At no point did she say yes or no, she always supported me and put my professional side first. It was an easy move, even at a family level. I had Rúben Neves, João Cancelo. My children are used to playing with theirs. 'But I simply want to stay at the highest level, playing in the big competitions, because I still feel capable of that. I want to continue to be happy and do what I love most. I'm still very passionate about this sport. It's my way of seeing football and I'm happy with my decision.' Neville told Sky Sports: 'It's significant. To turn that money down at a point where Manchester United are at their lowest ebb and say, 'No, I want to fight through this, I want to see it through the other side, I want to come out and achieve things,' I think it says a lot about him as a person, as a character.'
