Massive dragon flights, immersive battle sequences, and breathtaking landscapes set the tone for 'How to Train Your Dragon' and has brought family audiences back to the Dean DeBlois confirmed that the next instalment is scheduled for June 11, 2027 at Universal Pictures's CinemaCon earlier this also recently opened up about the backlash over Parker's casting as Astrid. Fans had expected Astrid to look more like she did in the original. In the original, Astrid was white with blonde hair and blue eyes. Variety reported Dean as saying that it bothered him in the beginning, but hoped people would let it go seeing how Parker nailed the role and that's what happened.
