'The Walking Dead' Actor Kelley Mack Has Died At Age 33 After A 7-Month Battle With Cancer
Kelley, real name Kelly Klebenow, passed away on Saturday after a 7-month battle with glioma of the central nervous system, which is a cancerous tumor, her family confirmed in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Sharing a photo of Kelley, her sister wrote: 'It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.'
'Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present,' she went on. 'Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies 🦋 ❤️. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.'

'Kelley's Caringbridge link in her bio includes the 2-page formal announcement with information on her upcoming life celebration in Ohio on August 16th. She would want you all to know how much she loves you,' the post concluded. 'And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I'm so fucking proud of her.'
Kelley shared her cancer diagnosis with her social media followers on Jan. 3, where she revealed that she had suffered 'persistent lower back pain' for a month since September. She wrote: 'A few weeks later, I had neuropathic itching in my right quad. And then, the shooting pains in my legs and back began, which resulted in me having to sleep in a recliner for a month because laying down was too painful. On Thanksgiving Eve, I had emergency MRIs done at the hospital, which revealed an abnormal mass in my spinal cord. Fast forward to now - I have been diagnosed with #diffusemidlineglioma, an extremely rare type of #astrocytoma #cancer. Due to the biopsy surgery on my spinal cord, I have lost the use of my right leg and most of my left leg, so I now get around with a walker and a wheelchair.'

"I am determined and know that this will eventually be a short chapter in my long book," she poignantly added at the time. "The positivity, love and prayers that are being sent my way already is overwhelming and I feel it all. Thank you so much ❤️❤️"
Kelley documented much of her cancer battle on Instagram over the last few months.

Kelley was best known for playing Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, starring in five episodes between 2018 and 2019.
Director Michael E. Satrazemis was among those to pay tribute to Kelley under the Instagram post, writing: 'I was lucky enough to create with Kelley on TWD. A bright light on every level. All my love to those who love her."
And several The Walking Dead actors also commented, with Michael Lopez sharing: 'My deepest condolences, Kelley was such a sweet and happy soul and I'm happy to have met her. She fought so hard. Sending her and your family lots of light and love. Rest easy Kelley."
Alanna Masterson added: 'What an incredible human. So proud to have fought alongside her in our final episode together,' and Gustavo Gomez commented: 'This is heartbreaking. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed. Your bright light will always shine on 💙'
Kelley also played Penelope Jacobs in Chicago Med, and appeared in 9-1-1.
A recognition and remembrance of Kelley's life will be held in her home state of Ohio on Aug. 16, and her family are also planning a celebration of life in Los Angeles for Kelley's friends and colleagues in the area.

Today's NYT Strands Puzzle: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Sunday, August 10th
It's Sunday, which means we all need to preserve our strength. The work week (and/or school week) is just around the corner, so for the love of all that is good and holy, take a rest day! Be lazy. Eat leftovers or takeout. Watch some great TV shows and movies (which you can find in my latest weekend streaming guide) and play some games. Puzzle games, in particular, make for great lazy Sunday activities. In fact, let's do a Strands puzzle right now! Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day's theme. Spoilers ahead. Today's Strands Hints Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Today's Theme: A rip-roaring good time Hint: Words we use for celebratory gatherings. Clue: A lot of these are words like 'bash' or 'soiree' and so forth. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder Here are the first two letters of each word: Remember, spoilers ahead! What Are Today's Strands Answers? Today's spangram is: PARTIES Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: I nabbed SHINDIG first, probably because it's the word I use the most out of this batch. I often describe smaller gatherings of friends as a 'shindig.' I've also been to a HOEDOWN and a JAMBOREE but I think of these more as events than just parties. BLOWOUT I typically associate with sales—a 'blowout sale' on all these appliances, my golly you'll save big! WINGDING I have never used and I'm not even sure I've heard it used. I've never been to a LUAU but I'd like to someday. I've never been to Hawaii! How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook. ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps' Continues Big Box Office Dive With 61% Drop
Disney and Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps — which had a steep drop in business in its second Friday to Sunday frame — is continuing its big box office dive in its third weekend in theaters. The third and Marvel Cinematic Universe release in 2025 after Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps found solid footing in its opening weekend in theaters July 25-27 with a domestic take of $115.6 million. The film's second weekend, Aug. 1-3 proved disastrous, however, as the film's $38.6 million domestic tally marked a 67% drop in business. Any hope for a turnaround in the film's third Friday to Sunday for The Fantastic Four quickly dissipated this weekend, though, as Deadline released its projections for the Aug. 8-10 North American box office. As of Saturday, the trade publication projected that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will earn $15 million from 3,600 North American theaters, marking a 61% drop from last weekend's already ailing numbers. Should the $15 million projection by Deadline hold, it will boost The Fantastic Four: First Steps' domestic tally to $229.9 million. The Fantastic Four: First Steps, per Variety, had a production budget of $200 million-plus before prints and advertisting costs. 'Superman's' Business Only Drops 41% In Weekend No. 5 The Fantastic Four: First Steps' main competitor for the top-grossing superhero movie of 2025 — James Gunn's Superman — is projected to make $7.8 million in its fifth weekend in theaters following its opening on July 11. The projected tally marks a $43% drop in business from the film's fourth weekend in theaters. Should Deadline's projection hold, this weekend's box office will boost Superman's domestic take to $331.2 million. Given Superman's solid hold at the box office and The Fantastic Four's downhill slide, DC Studios' Man of Steel film is poised to handily defeat the latest MCU chapter by the time each film wraps its theatrical run. The Fantastic Four: First Steps' drop to third place at the domestic box office comes in the wake of the strong performances of two newcomers — the Warner Bros. horror thriller Weapons and Disney's Freaky Friday sequel Freakier Friday. Weapons is projected by Deadline to earn anywhere from $40 million to $43 million in its opening weekend, while the trade publication pegs a $30 million to $32 million first frame for Freakier Friday. The final numbers for this weekend's box office will be released on Monday.

Today's NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Sunday, August 10
In case you missed Saturday's NYT Mini, you can find the answers here: The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer. To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers (spoilers lie ahead, of course): FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers ACROSS 1) Try to tag - CHASE 6) Fictional sports icon with a statue by the Philadelphia Museum of Art - ROCKY 7) Loosen, as laces - UNTIE 8) Trigger for a werewolf's transformation - MOON 9) "It's freezing!" - BRR DOWN 1) Table tidbit - CRUMB 2) Pay homage to - HONOR 3) Driver, Cooper or Butler - ACTOR 4) Poisonous part of a poison dart frog- SKIN 5) Needle opening - EYE This was definitely a speed run day without a doubt. You can start with the only fictional sports icon you can probably even name, Rocky, and move on from there to werewolf moons or shivering from the cold. The only mildly tricky one was about Adam Driver, Bradley Cooper or Austin Butler, but by the time you got _CTOR it was kind of self-explanatory. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
